WELCOME ONE AND ALL TO THE...

The only "RULE" here is NO fussin' - NO fightin' - NO feudin'!

I will try to be here to serve you; but if not, feel free to help yourself.

First one in every morning puts the coffee and tea on, last one out at night turns the lights off...

We serve donuts, cinnamon toast (dry toast available upon request), crumpets, bagels, scones, croissants, brioche rolls, donuts, yogurt, salads, light lunches, popsicles, ice cream, homemade cookies, homemade cakes, homemade pies, and homemade jams.

We also serve coffee (with/without caffeine), hot chocolate, hot tea, iced tea, fresh squeezed lemonade and orange juice, cappuccino, Mountain Dew, DP, DDP, Coke, Pepsi, milk, milkshakes, Kool-Aid, and Carb Options.

If you don't see your drink or food of choice...just ask, we will do our best to stock it for you!

Our aim is to please...come and sit a spell, enjoy the fellowship and come back often!

As Christians, we are ALL on common ground...

Ah, I was thinking that last thread was getting a bit long!

good morning all. A little after six a.m. here. Restless. Got the crock pot going for our noon meal, a load of laundry in, and topped two million on Gems 2 (had a four day game running) and then figured I had the system beat and shut it down! LOL...

Will get the desk straightened out, change around laundry, and then it will be light enough to go feed the animals and do a little yard work before Barry gets up about 9:30 or 10. After that it's our day off.

Seriously thinking about getting a milk cow. We have been getting raw milk from some friends of ours and I have been making our own butter and yogurt. It tastes so good! But two gallons a week is simply not enough and they have thirty families on their waiting list to get milk from them. A nice little Guernsey would be lovely. We have Chris full time here and so milking a cow twice a day would be a commitment we would be here for anyway. At any rate, it's getting to be a more and more serious thought. Until I looked up what they did to milk now to pasteurize and homogenize it, I did not realize the stuff you get in the market is really not good for you at all! I was stunned.

And this milk we are getting is like milk used to taste when I was growing up in the fifties. It's GOOD!

Can't believe I'm getting to be some kind of farm wife at 59! But it's really fun.

Got to separate the mini horses from the goats when I want to brush the minis out. If not, the goats get jealous and when I bend over to brush the little ones Shar will come bomp me from behind and almost knock me over. I makes me laugh because he has no horns so it doesn't hurt, but he is a strong little sucker and I almost fell over the old mini, Papa, yesterday trying to catch my balance after getting bomped.

But I love it out there with those guys.

Mono is starting to recede. I got some work done yesterday and only needed a two hour nap in the afternoon and I'm up bright and early this morning. Feels so good. I'll nap again today. No way do I want a relapse. Not during the spring when there is so much to do outside!

OK, enough rambling. This desk is a mess after me being sick for so many weeks now. Time to take and deep breath and dive into it.

    God bless you all.

We're finally getting a break from the rain in Southern Ohio. Yippee!! Highs in the 70s over the weekend, and hopefully, appearances by the sunshine!

Have a great day, all! :wavey:

    Good Morning Everyone!

Cass and Chris still aren't much enthused about it, they still have their migraines and Chris started vomiting last night. :( I'm hoping when Cass gets up she feels at least a little better. She was up at 3 this morning getting medicine.

The rest of us are up enjoying the beautiful day God has blessed us with. T rode his motorcycle to work. Jenna is looking forward to having Amy over this evening to spend the night. I'm going to pot some plants and get some sewing done.

Ya'll have a nice day too!

    Good Evening all,
Today was beautiful and we where blessed with sunshine! Dad isn't doing good at all. The doctors did some more tests today we won't know the results for a few days. He was really down when I was at the hospital. He had a big scare this morning and hasn't gotten over it. I had better go, I need to go get some housework done.

Good Heavens! How'd it get to be almost 8 already?

What's everyone been up to today? I've done just what I said, I potted some pineapple tops we've been rooting and sewed up the poodle skirt I cut out the other day. Tanya came over and sewed with me and didn't even screech when I took her out to buy crickets for the frogs, though Amy and Jenna did their fair share of it.

It is 52 right now and the high should be 74 today.

Why am I awake at 7:52 am on Saturday??? UGHHHHH

I plan on spending most of my day at home. I have to go to the post office at some point....before 12:BangHead: to mail a box to a friend. My wonderful hubby will be cutting grass today :) other than that, there isn't much on the list.

Hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!!

    Good morning all,

I didn't get to sleep until after 3:00 this morning, so I slept in until 8:00, then woke up with a splitting headache. It's probably from stress. I took my blood pressure yesterday when I bought groceries and it was pretty high.

Brent is going to mow and trim today, 75º and sunshine. It is 57º right now and I have all my new windows wide open already!!! I just love them!

I'm making an eBay run to the post office and doing laundry. Other than that and cooking, I'm taking it easy today.

I hope Rob didn't get lost on his way to our new location. I could sure use some of his cooking.

    Glad you're feeling better, Helen!

Sorry you had such a rough night, Briony. That type of work can be very taxing.

    Enjoy your day out, islandgirl.

You mustn't work so hard, Jim. Those coffee shops will wear you out!

Tanya and Cindi: I sure wish you lived closer. Sewing is NOT one of my talents and I need some done! I need to make some new curtains for the sun porch and my sewing machine is broken. I guess I will have to get it repaired. <sigh> Since Wal-Mart did away with their fabric section, I have to drive 90 miles, round trip, to get material!!!

PJ: I brought in pancakes and sausages for breakfast. Help yourself.

    Have a good y'all!

    Good Morning Everybody,

It is 53 and sunny here headed for a high of 65.

Brenda went to a Ladies Day program today, and the G-kids are at their Dad's this weekend, so it's just the pets and I here today. Nice quiet day for a change.

I brought in Homemade Chicken Pie, Ham and Cheddar Loaf, Sweet & White Potato Spears, and Molten Chocolate Cakes. Enjoy.

The past few days have been "down days" for me, not really sure why. Guess it's good that I'm home alone today.

    Hi folks,

    We are still here!:wavey:

The fires are still going, but, Thankfully, are not threatening us.:praying: Praying it stays that way. We need rain, folks!!

Started the fifth round of 'medication' today. Will find out Monday what the result is from the last cycle.

Sue, I still can't understand Wal-Mart getting rid of the fabric department.:BangHead: Just doesn't make sense!

    "Ham and Cheddar Loaf"

Sounds good Rob. Have you posted the recipe before?

Someone mentioned a Ranchero Casserole recently, may we have that recipe, too? please, please, please?? (I don't think it was Rob.)

I posted the Ham & Cheddar in a Loaf in the Recipes thread.

The Ranchero Casserole comes from Sue, and knowing that makes it well-worth waiting for.

Gayla: It is in one of the Recipe threads, but I can't locate it. I'm working on getting BB Recipe Collections 1 and 2 moved out of the Archives and back in the Women's Open Forum. I will 'sticky' them. There are a lot of good recipes in them.

    Ranchero Casserole

    1# hamburger
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    ½ tsp. salt
    1 #2 can chopped/diced tomatoes
1 cup Minute Rice - uncooked
    1 lg. onion - chopped
    1 green pepper - chopped
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1 can kidney beans

Mix together all ingredients (raw and uncooked) and place in a greased 8x8 baking dish. Bake @ 350º for 1 hour.

Hope you like this as much as we do!

Good to see you back, Rob! Cindi wouldn't help me cook!

    Good evening all,
Today was fairly good. Neither one of my neices or nephews made it past the first round of the tournament. That's good because I really wasn't looking forward to sitting there all day long! Of course, I'm not telling the kids that. I just dropped in for a moment; the dance recital starts at 7 and I have to get ready and leave early to find the place where it is going to be at. I talked to mom earlier and dad has had a better day today. His doctors even said that today things where looking better!
