    Dr. Bob,

Ken Davis was going on about his daughter and son-in-law taking his first grandchild to Tennessee - (rotten children anyway).

He went on to say that there was an overabundance of bugs in Tennessee.

Then Ken said that he once saw a moth near a lightbulb in Denver - but that was just before the bug emigrated to Tennessee - oh by the way - Ken and his wife moved to Tennessee - just to be near their granddaughter!

Video is called "Ken Davis and Friends" Funny! [IMG]

    Diane,

Poor girl - hates summer and hot days - Nick doesn't do well with bugs!

    Loves Baptists - and snow!

    She lives in Georgia!

I guess you are chosing Baptists, hot summer days and bugs over snow over liberals, fewer bugs, and snow.

    Tough choice!

    Dan - just a teasing!

    Hi Dan..

Well.. hope I don't bum anybody out! But my husband deals with depression (since I met him 5 years ago) has diabetes, and he's also not a believer. So you can imagine how difficult it is to co-habitate. He's also 21 years older than I am, but we've had four children in the last four years and I don't think he'll ever retire! lol. So there ya go. hehe.

WOW Dan! You've outdone yourself. Five posts in a row! Don't push the envelope! [IMG]

I am going to start the car and let it warm up a bit before I go back to the corner. Hubby had to break ice loose to get my car door open this morning before he left for work!

It's so nice to have a man around the house. Tra la la...

That I am! You can take a PILL to deal with bugs and turn on the air conditioner to deal with heat! I miss the snow but I love being where Baptists abound!

So no one worries, the dentist just called and had to change Nick's cleaning to tomorrow morning. The office is almost 1 1/2 hours from here so we'll be gone from early a.m. til probably 1:00. Praise the Lord, Jim can take us because I'm terrified of the Atlanta traffic!

Sooooooooo!!!! Nick has to be at the dentist's office tomorrow, huh??????? And the receptionist probably filled you in on the idea of "Its just a routine teeth cleanin', ma'm!!!"

Weeeeeeeeeel, Dr. Blackbird has heard the receptionist explain that over and over and over and over again---what starts OUT as a simple routine----turns into fillin's, cavities, bridge work, crowns, Gengivitus and all of those other itus things!!!

But tell Nick don't worry---the Rapture COULD possibly interfere with his dentist plans---Boy, oh, Boy! I'll take that any day over the dentist office!!!

Your Southern Baptist preachin', dentist story tellin' buddy,
    Blackbird

Nick was just there 1 1/2 months ago and had another 'baby' root canal. He had full x-rays that day so not concerned. However... I have 2 planned visits this month (one for a cleaning and one to replace a temp. filling in a deep cavity they found 6 months ago) and another cavity I've been waiting 6 months for an opening for a filling. I really do work hard on caring for my teeth and am so surprised I have such troubles! I brush after EVERY meal and use a water jet cleaner several times a day. I use flouride rinse too! Oh well!

How's Blackbird's family and that flu??

5 traditional states in the UPPER Mid-West are:

    North Dakota 642,000
    South Dakota 755,000
    Minnesota 4,920,000
    Iowa 2,925,000
    Wisconsin 5,363,000

Add in states usually "lumped" with them -
    Montana 902,000
    Wyoming 493,000
    Nebraska 1,712,000

So the entire region (1/5 of the US) is 17,712,000 people, or about 5% of the US population!

Think "Florida" in about the same # of people!

Atlanta has 4,270,200 people (approx.) and it's over 50% women. The average age is 33.

    No wonder we feel crowded!

Wyoming is 97,815 square miles, with a population density of 5.1 people in each square mile.

Georgia is 59,400 square miles, with a population density of 401 people in each square mile.

    That is obscene.

There is a story about the Texan millionaire who was bragging to an Alberta cattleman, that he had enough wealth to build a fence straight across all of Canada, ten feet high. He stood back and grinned. The Albertan cattleman smiled, and said, Tell you what. You build it, and if I like it, I'll buy it.

    Cheers,

    Jim

It had to do with the topic of everything's BIG in Texas.
