Boy Howdy from the Banana Belt of America. It is 32 on the way to almost 50F. Just a little breeze (25 mph which is LOW for Casper). Some high clouds.

Still way b-zero up 100 miles north in Buffalo and Sheridan where my son is. Brutal.

Am I "good"? YOU BET! And humble about it! :D

Actually I speak on any subject for any group that will pay me enough! This diversity stuff they get from me may NOT be what they're looking for - talking about rugged individualism rather than categorizing by REGARDS (short for Religion, Ethnicity, Gender, Age, Race, Disability, Sexual orientation) and how messed up the workplace is with everyone so concerned about political correctness.

Then tell a few blonde jokes and I'm outta there.

I teach a class called "Challenges in Supervision" - I do not like the diversity portion of the class!

Dan - not politically correct! -- but refrain from blond jokes!

Can anyone tell me where Widsom Seeker has been lately?

I no longer use "ethnic" humor in preaching lest I offend.

I just call them "ethnics" rather than giving a nationality or ethnicity. That way, no one can be offended.

    For example:

"There were two 'ethnics' walking down the street. And Sven said to Ole . . . "

    Think that will work?

    BTW, grammar lesson

blond = adjective, refers to color of skin, hair, etc

blonde = noun, refers to the person with said skin, hair, etc

I just looked it UP and wrote it DOWN! [IMG]

Sayin', "This Cajun and this Redneck were walkin' up the street and . . . !" isn't ethnic---its Cajun/Redneck!! A true "Either One" has nothin' to be offended by!!!

By the way---Granny Gumbo---have you "Drank from" the Atchafaylaya River lately---its the Cajun "Fountain of Life" and will cause you to post "less and less" in the "Old Codger" forum!!! :D

    Your buddy,
    Blackbird

Annnnnnnnnd to Diane!!! From the desk of Doctor Blackbird--expert DVD and DDM---I reviewed the x-rays from your dentist(he sent them to Blackbird's lab for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th opinions!!)---and Blackbird has concluded that your x-rays were "touched up!"---IOW---somebody tampered with um!!! Could have been the janitor or the receptionist in your dentist's office---nobody in Blackbird's lab would do such a thing---we are all "Billy Graham" hopefuls!!!

Dr. Blackbird advised your dentist over the phone---"The drill!!!!" Sorry!!!!

    Your buddy,
    Blackbird

LOL Blackbird! They've drilled and filled 5 molars in the last year or so! I don't think there's much room for cavities! LOL

Diversity and political correctness .....are those words in the BIBLE? LOL Probably right there next to Freedom of Speech and the Bill of Rights!

Last I saw of Wisdom Seeker was on another board. I don't remember the name of it. Someone had linked us there. Maybe business has really picked up for them! Her graphics were really good!

    Hi All!

I just received an email from Gwyneth and her mother has gone to be with the Lord.

There is a sympathy card featured at the top of this forum if anyone would like to sign it.

Sue, I'm so sorry to hear of Gwyneth's mom's passing. I hope everyone will find the card and sign it for her and keep the family in prayer!

I talked to Jim. Today's interview went well. The man has narrowed his choice to 2 men. Jim was honest and told him about the other job possiblity so the man said he wouldn't make any decision until he hears back from Jim on Friday afternoon after the interview with the owner of the local job. That's the one that makes the most sense to US.

I spoke with the mil of the Corn Stove Store owner because I still have his key and fob to his burglar alarm. She said she thinks he's going to ask me to work the rest of this week. I guess he'll call this afternoon! It's funny! I have, in my purse, keys to a number of businesses. The owners will just tell me to keep them in case I'm needed later. It just hit me today how they trust me. That feels so nice!

So....... it's time for Sue to brave that awful weather. Bundle up girl!

Thanks so much Roger! We're really feeling the local job is the right choice even tho the other job would be 'fun' because it's Jim's hobby.

I'll be working tomorrow and Nick is teasing me. Last Saturday I watched Finding Nemo 5 times. He just got his copy of the movie down and told me 'Here's something you'll want to take with you tomorrow.' LOL NOT!!!

Jim won't be home til around 10:00 p.m. but tonight is AWANA so I'll be out ..... wishing Roger and Sheila a good nite in case they go to bed before I get home and again, condolences for Gwyneth and her family.

    Hi All!

Just checking in. Supper is over with, but hubby will do the dishes tonight.

I was shredding cabbage for cold slaw with a manual grater and took a hunk out of my thumb....threw the grater away, but the slaw tasted good!

Went grocery shopping and to Wally World this morning, got gas, then did laundry, went to work twice and fixed supper. Glad this day is about over!

Checking in here for a moment. No church tonight so going to relax home. Got veggies all chopped and shrimp and cashews for a terriaki stir-fry. Can hardly wait.

And put some super-discounted beef in the crock early this a.m. (at 4 pm Safeway marks down the packages of beef, so got some round and sirloin steak for about a buck a pound the other day) so will have easy meals for the coming days.

Extremely busy with our health clinic and business. Gone for ten days this month and will still probably be our second or third highest sales in ten years! Lotza folks interested in alternative health.

And while waiting (can't cook stir fry until I see the bride in a couple hours) it is cleaning house - papers, trash, dishes, piles of stuff from the cruise, bills, etc. Grandkids are coming Friday and it would be a DISASTER if it were not all done by then.

Hey, in the time it took to post ONE message here, I could have played TEN games! When will I learn!! [IMG]

Dr.Bob, Do you ever use a real iron Chinese wok for cooking? I use a wok for everything. It is great. Low fat and quick. Preparation time is longer, but well worth it.

    Cheers,

    Jim
