    Dr. Bob,

You don't know who will be called first. I must surely be an ordeal for the one who is left behind.

We watched the cathedral service too and thought that Nancy Reagan was blessed with such composure. I think she is obviously relying on His strength, not hers. A remarkable woman. My heart goes out to her.

Whew......... EXHAUSTED! BLESSED! I had 3 families say they will begin to come and bring their children to church. One mother talked at length about being raised Baptist but not attending in years....

The church provided a full meal for all the workers and their families so we sat and talked while the kids played on one of the two playgrounds or ran around. Seems odd, but I always get called over to the young women's table to sit with them. Most of my great friends are late 20's. Go figure! 'Must be my girlish looks'. LOL

We had 33 older children accept Christ this week too. We try to be VERY careful about these responses. I gave the plan of salvation to my 4 year olds using a bracelet of colors but just told them that one day they'd decide yes or no for Jesus.

Cleaned up my room other than moving toys back because they were locked in a room. I've left all my summery and beach looking decorations. We only removed those that came with the VBS material because we donate our used things to a local church that can't afford to buy their own.

And to think.... I only have til Sunday to rest.

If I get any pictures from the Moms of my kids singing on stage, I'll post them. I'll point out which one I am down front. We all had on bright turqouise church/ VBS shirts but the kids wore American Flag shirts.

So Nick just says to me.... 'I just blew down a spider near our outside shoes so I want you to check those shoes really good before putting them on because I don't want to be at the hospital at midnight getting you treated for a spider bite!'

    Okay Mommie...

    Good morning all:

Just popping in for a second, I still have my company and will have until Tuesday. Brent will be staying with me until mid/late July.

I stocked all the coolers full since I won't be on much at all until next week.

    Have a blessed day!

    Good morning all!

We spent a good share of yesterday - watching the funeral.

There were tears many many times.

We did take some time out to repot a few plants - and go get ice cream cones!

    Have a good day!

    Good day!

Much the same as you, Dan. Made the time to see the funeral services and the burial service later in the evening. It was more like attending the services of a brother, but then, that is how President Reagan made one feel.

    Cheers,

    Jim

I only saw a few clips of the sunset service. Felt like a part of me died, nothing but respect for our dear Gipper.

Morning all.... slept okay but woke up anxious again. I do not like this feeling.

Going to spend a day doing some yard work and trying to catch up with all the un done things around the house.

    Have a wonderful day!

Good morning. I think this whole Reagan thing has a lot of us exhausted and on edge. The emotion and length of the whole thing, the threat it brings now whenever we have anything this public going on, etc.. I slept for 13 hours, (for 8, got up for 2, fell back asleep) That's EXTREMELY unusual for me! Don't think I would have woke up even when I did, but the phone rang.
I'll have to check out more of those sites for the kids. The library closes early on Saturdays though. :(
I have most everything in the house done, but a MAJOR mess in the back bedroom, where I put everything that's getting tossed. I HAVE to quit bringing junk mail into the place!
I wonder if you're allowed to return it to the sender. HMMM. I don't see why not. We could probably cause quite a stir if we all started marking it "return to sender".

BOY HOWDY from sunny Wyoming. 59F and little breeze. Am praying the wind holds off until after my 1 pm wedding (outdoor).

Nice enough couple, been living together for a while (have a toddler). They COULDN'T get married until now - she was getting a "Habitat for Humanity" home as a single mom, etc. If they'd have gotten married, they would have lost the house.

Took a lot of counseling with them to see the error of thinking and recognition of sin, etc. Society is sure mixed up.

Have another wedding at 5 pm, but that will be a big traditional ceremony and dinner, etc, of a College prof I know. Just glad to be able to do this for the couple. Wasn't sure about my health status when this was planned a year ago (I was in a wheelchair you remember). Praise God for His enabling grace.

And preach tomorrow at a new-church plant 90 miles out in the middle of nowhere, Wyoming. Will take a pix or two. Will share more late night tonight when I get back on line.

Hi all. Busy day and took a long nap to try and help with the anxiety. It should pass soon when these hormones level out. YUK!

Lifeway has another weird lesson for my 4 year olds tomorrow. It's the 'last supper'. Not excited about trying to teach that to four year olds.

We hit 74ºF today in Western New York. I was working at the site of my former garage - still have some stone and junk to dispose of. Got a good start on it - but it made it seem hotter than 74ºF.

Have a good day in church tomorrow!

I suspect that unless the junk mail says that return postage is guaranteed (which means the sender will pay for its return) - the Post Office would just throw the stuff away.

Good idea though - Gina! [IMG]

Evening all (and blessed Sunday to those across the pond). Busy day and tough evening. After my jaunts in the Wyoming wind for a noon wedding, then the big wedding this evening - with a scrumptuous meal after - I came home to help prepare for my second son Joshua and his family to get here this coming week. We have an extra closet in the basement which I use to "alternate" clothes - summer stuff v rest of the year stuff.

Long story short, carry an arm full of short sleeved shirts, etc, up the stairs from the basement, I missed a step. Actually thought my foot was on a step and it was just the big toe and part of other toes. I stepped up and the foot slipped off, bending all toes upward 90 degrees and making me fall.

Grrr. This not-being-able-to-feel-your-feet is for the boids! Soaking my foot, but it will not fit into any shoe for sure. So will preach in sandals (hey, I wasn't a hippie in the 60's so NOW is my turn!!).

Appreciate your prayers. I have to drive 90 miles into the high plains to preach to this group of ranchers, have dinner and drive home - with an awful lot of pain just to stand up. Ugly.

But God has a sense of humor in it. My text (I always preach in Jeremiah whever I go) is chapter 12. Key verse is 5
Cheer up, things WILL get worse!

Just a word hoping everyone has a blessed Lord's day.
My oldest son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Katrina, stopped in. It seems I am going to have a second grandchild in January! The first by them.

Dr. Bob: I will echo Roger's sentaments, praying all will go well.

Good morning Dr.B., Charles, Roger, Dan, and all who will be waking soon...

66º right now with humidity at 94% and rising and a high expected of 85º with scattered thunderstorms.

Dr.B.: I have slipped off the stairs like that a few times in my life. I usually end up with a very hurtful bruise on my shin. I always say, "anyone can fall DOWN the stairs, but it takes real talent to fall UP the stairs!".

    Cruising...
