    Was raining, on and off, here in the BIG Apple, and the forecast is calling for some more wet and muggy times.... I can tell you, the green is VERY green in the gardens, as a result of so much rain during this season. [​IMG]

    My weather alert radio keeps going off saying MAJOR thunder storms are to hit within minutes. I looked at the radar and they're already all around us. The temp is still high at 80° but I think it's going to drop pretty quickly here.

    I just finished my little sheep for tomorrow nights lesson. They're sheep cut out of card stock with black feet and nose. We will cover them with cotton balls and googlie eyes. The Bible verse that goes on the back is 'John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, 'Behold the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world'. I'm using a 'Power Ranger' object lesson. My boys last week kept talking about the Power Rangers and other super heroes so I promised I'd talk about morphing and the Power Rangers this week. I knew of this great children's sermon about the transfiguration that mentions the Power Rangers and how they're changing is pretend but how Jesus 'changed' because of the Holy Spirit shining right out of Him.

    I just finished reading "The Sacrifice" by Beverly Lewis. She writes of Amish life - and she does an excellent job!

    I read that series as well. I like her writing. Her husband wrote a novel, too, and I think I like his style even better. No "steaming cups of coffee" (that phrase HAS to be in every Christian novel!!)

    I am still pumped up from VBS tonite.

    I'm back, but tired. Long day with g'kids. Went to a Rockies game this evening and we lost 12-4 after holding a 4-1 lead for 7 innings. Then just fell apart.

    But what a hoot to have MY two sons and THEIR two sons at a ballgame. Hot dogs, peanuts, spilled pop, popcorn, cookies - it was 83F for a high at 5 pm when we left home and 54F when the game ended . . and we were COLD!

    Good morning all:

    I am not envious right now because Brent is with me, but I will be when he goes home!

    52º right now with an expected high of 85º and the usual 94% humidity. UGH!

    Our VBS is June 28-July 2 this year so Brent will be able to attend. I will be attending also as the last few years it has become a "Neighborhood Bible School Week" and there are classes for all ages (including adults). It is held in the evening instead of in the morning.

    Brent's allergies seem to have let up except for occasional 'itchy eyes'. I just finished a sneezing fit and am still having trouble breathing - but it is much better than it was!

    Cruising...

    Well Roger, I have three more days with my two and they will be back in "America" too for another year. Know the feeling!

    The smallest one was always afraid of the one dog. This visit found her gradualy getting closer and closer and ended up cuddling with that dog, sharing a bag of crisps. She found the key to a dog's heart.

    Good morning all!

    Will not be around till this evening - as I have training all day today and tomorrow. Earth work school - acutally I will learn how to do compaction tests!

    My granddaughter likes to talk with a couple of our cats when she comes and visits! Her daddy is allergic to those cats!

    Boy Howdy and blessed morn from the wild West. Wife is gone to the clinic and the family is still asleep (we were up W-A-Y late) so I'm enjoying a little time with you all. Then the zoo will start again.

    Bright sunshine, 57F on the way to 81F for a high here and the construction people are just making forms for new curb/gutter so no jack-hammers to shatter the stillness.

    Morning everybody,

    It will be another hot one today between 105 & 110, of course no hope of rain. Both the wife and I are waking up tired. It may be the heat along with all the extra hours being with my dad after his stroke last week. He is doing better daily. They wanted him to take a ride in a wheel chair to therapy, but he got up and walked to the therapy room. He still cannot talk or swallow and his left arm & hand are not working, but we are seeing God working in his recovery. We are very grateful.

    Well, I am off to Senior adult Bible study. We are in the book of John.

    It's supposed to be 80's and awesome here.

    I'm off to the Library to return some books, get a few, and spend some time with my Hubby and Oldest daugther. See and talk to you guys later
