Pleasantly cool here for a change. Where's that light jacket I haven't worn in ages. The older I get, the less my body likes the cold.

Well good morning all! It's UP to 35° here which is cold for Georgia, this time of year. I actually had to turn on the heat for a few minutes this morning. The house must be well insulated...

Sorry to hear you were in pain, Dr. Bob. I hope you slept well and feel MUCH better today. How goes that infection? Any more tests results or answers?

Hoping Tony and Vivian can stop by for a visit on their way to Augusta in December! That'll be NEAT!

Well Ty rolled over and went right back to sleep so I went back to bed. The boys woke me at 8:30! Nice! Had BAD dreams tho all night. People chasing me.... I fell asleep with the t.v. on USA network and probably incorporated some show into my dreams.

Got the heat on in Philly now. Was cold and sunny this morning, but they say we'll get up to 58 today.

Went to a beautiful funeral on Saturday. I say that because it was for the deacon that I had asked prayer for a while back. God saw fit to spare him the long haul that some cancer patients go through. The service included singing "Great is Thy Faithfulness" and a clear presentation of the gospel by our pastor. While the man will be sorely missed, it was thrilling to hear people give testimony to how much he loved his Savior!

On a lighter note, my daughter and I had fun with the kids at church yesterday! Picture 20+ kids, from kindergartners to 6th grade, rolling and cuting cookie dough in an assembly line, while the adults manned the ovens! The cookies were for the rescue mission's Thanksgiving dinner. We filled three popcorn tins, and had enough left over for small tins for the shut-ins and the race track chaplain. It was like the loaves and fishes!!! LOL

    Church smelled good, too!

Good morning all! I hope all had a good weekend. Things are wuiet and peaceful today except the whir of the wheels turning in my mind. Trying to figure out how to get a job that doesn't bother my leg. Standing is out, sitting for any length of time is out, so where do I find such a job that pays well, and I still get to move around, (or take the leg off as needed)? Any suggestions? Well, off to check the job service ads.

    Hello to one and all!

The sun is shining here in Cuba - it's warmer than it was last Saturday.

But it's not warm enough to suit me. But it's not cold enough to get me to move south - where the bugs get really Big! [IMG]

Just popping to to say good night - as usual - since the time change.

Brent and I made three more types of Christmas 'goodies' after the papers and this afternoon. That's seven different types so far. I think sugar cookies is the only thing I have left to make.

I was going to do that tomorrow, but I think I will take a 'day of rest' as I turn the corner into another decade.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Always good to relax and chat with DavidsAngel. So meaningful, so much meat on the bones!

Turning in for the night here. Still 45F and windy (always warm when it is windy) and after midnight. Just about finished with 2005 calendar and breaking in 2006. Trips, grandbabies, preaching meetings, seminars - life doesn't move on at petty pace. It rushes toward eternity!

Howdy! Its 51 degrees here on the very early (almost 2 am) Tuesday. We are leaving for Texas later this morning - going to San Antonio for a convention DH is going to - Dr. BoB, its ETS. Do you ever go?? Anyway, the girls and I are going to play. We are very excited. I have finished the packing and cleaning (cant stand to come home to a cluttered nest), and now I am on my way to
bed-e-bye. I am not sure if we are taking to laptop, so I may not post again til Saturday. Yall have a great week!!

(dreading the visit to the Alamo with such a history "buff"-oon for a hubby. A nice tour turns into a loooooong event! But we are making memories!)

    Good morning all:

Have a good trip Tater! I have a history "buff"oon for a hubby too and I know what you mean.....lol.

Well, I guess I'm older, but I don't feel like it. Of course, I'm not up moving around yet!

50º here with an expected high of 60º and then rain the rest of the week...

    Cruising,

TaterTot, it could be worse. You could be visiting the Alamo with a history buff named Crockett! That would be my lot if I ever went.

Hi Everyone. It got down to 30° here last night but it's already 50° and very pretty.

Today is one of my busiest days with the 20 month old from 8:30 til 11:15 or so. He's a LOUD talker but doesn't say any real words. LOL. He tries to sing with the Wiggles, etc. and breaks my eardrums. YIKES!

Hope Tater has a great time! She has the cutest girls. [IMG]

Brent has just made my birthday cake. It is still in the oven.

He made a white cake with pink and blue 'swirls' in it. He insisted we bake it in a Bundt pan. Now, how am I gonna get it out???

Do you turn it upside down on a bottle like the old Angel Food cakes or just dump it out and hope it doesn't break???

Just turn it upside down, Sue. It'll come right out. I make cakes in bundt pans a lot. You do need to bake them a little longer.

Diane; I found that out, lol, about baking them longer. I turned it upside down on a plate and it slid right out and it looks just beautiful!

Brent can't get over the fact that he made a 'ruffled' cake. LOL

He will frost it when it cools and throw some 'sprinkles' on it. I gave him a day off from school for MY birthday... We are going to relax and just 'hang out', at home, in our jammies. Sounds SO good!!!

We are having our midweek service at church tonight because James Beller (the author) is speaking. Until then, we're just gonna 'chill'.

Well, off to play Nintendo (Brent's suggestion).

Looks like you went to a lot more work when you use a bundt pan! I'm sure it'll be really pretty. That's a neat idea about the coloring and sprinkles!

It's HARD to do anything with a 20 month old running around! Finally got out the baby gate. He was throwing magazine, kept going into the bathroom, etc!

On Tuesday and Thursday we have to start school AFTER he leaves!
