Good Morning all! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMIE DEAREST!!! I love you!!

All is going good with no complaints today. I went and got a turkey deep fryer today. So, now the oven is free for all the other baking on Thanksgiving morning. I guess it only takes like 45 minutes to cook too. Now that I had all the times down on getting everything on the table at the same time I guess I have to rethink my timing! LOL I am cooking a chicken in it tonight to see how well I like it.

Shawna, you will LOVE the fried turkey!!
If you are inclined to, inject with melted butter with Cajun seasoning.
    Yum! Yum!!

Have in the past and even considered doing some writing and see if I could get a presentation. There are some issues of late, though, with the theology of some in this group, that has become troublesome. Hope we can have a discussion on it in the Theology section.

You folks need to do some writing here. I looked in this morning and the well was dry. I read every morning and today I want a refund.

It is a bit quiet in here. It was Sue's birthday yesterday so maybe supplies ran a bit low...

Good Morning Gib, I went back to bed and the phone woke me a few minutes ago. I have GOT to get out of the habit of watching t.v. from the west coast til after midnight! YAWN......

I tried to check the board at 5:30 but couldn't get any web pages to load. Don't know what the problem was. My mail was fine and Jim's laptop was working.

k........... here's your quarter back. [IMG]

    Good morning all:

I just put in a fresh supply of coffee, tea, and DDP. Sorry, we ran out at the party...

Hubby gave me a keyboard for my birthday and I have been busy trying to 'relearn' to play one. I had one 20 years ago...

    Good Morning boardmates!!!

Well i'm approaching one month with the new job,. and I haveto say tht God has blessed me with a wonderful place to work . Although it leaves me tired andtakes up most of my time, it's been a real blessing.

It was difficult at first to let the thingsi n the house be done by others, but it has worked out quite nicely. I still cook dinner and such, but, i'm no longer the only one who cleans up.

I hope that everyone is having wonderful days and is loking foreward to Thanksgiving.

Diane, I think we have a revolving door in this house. [IMG] No company right now. I'm busy with Church activities and the Deacon Widows Brunch. It seems I am volunteered for the gifts each year. But they are purchased and wrapped and ready and that is definitely a praise!

Tonight is our thanksgiving dinner and then on a sad note, we will have a memorial service for one of our deacons tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great day. I'm on my way to the beauty shop to have my hair colored.

Well, I am gonna do a trial run for the deep fried turkey fryer with a deep fried chicken. Any ideas on what seasonings and such???

Well, off for a while cleaning. My PC that is! This thing is a mess!

    Hi Sue,

All the best with your new keyboard; have fun.

I have a Casio Tone Bank CA-401. It has a chime button and I have been playing all the Christmas hymns of late..Love the sound of church bells,,even with the limited use of my hands, I manage to get a tune out with the keyboard.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Oh I LOVE church bells, Jim! There was a tiny old church in the town where I went to college that would chime their bells each Sunday and for special occassions... even a wedding! What a joyous sound!

Evangelical Theological Society. Nation-wide group of fairly conservative scholars who have presentations and discussion on lots of topics.

Problems come with what can a person believe and STILL be "evangelical".

Even a liberal can be evangelical.

    Cheers,

Politically, perhaps Jim, but it is really hard to find a liberal theologically that would fit the criteria.

A liberal theologian would reject or question key doctrines that are foundational to Evangelical thought.

But this is not the place to discuss such. I will start a thread on the Theology forum and would sure appreciate your perspective.

Thanks, Dr. Bob. I had found a web site for ETS which stood for Educational Testing Service, but I thought it must be something else.
