Night Sue, get to feeling better!

Good news about Jim's test, Diane. Aggravating about the baby's present. Those kind of things usually happen to me.

I've ended the day pretty well. I can breathe through one side of my nose. Much better than earlier in the day.

Bitsy has crawled up beside me and gone to sleep, bless her heart. She's had a busy day, I guess. My other two are looking mighty sleepy as well. It's kinda unusual for them to be this quiet so early. They don't usually wind down for another hour or so. It quite nice, it being so quiet. Too bad that T is still at work and isn't getting to enjoy it.

I may head for bed here soon myself. I'm getting pretty sleepy. I'm going to take some NyQuil before I do and see what it'll do for me. At the very least I'll sleep well!

Night M.K.! There's a show coming on I want to watch. It's almost 10:00 here so I think I'll shut down for the night too.

Ty will be here at 5:30ish and Jackson before 8:30. Yawn.......

    Night all!

Boy Howdy. Stopping by to say "hey". Working way to hard and not able to spend too much time here. Exciting time.

Worn out but enjoying an evening with the bride. Watching a taped movie from last week (Mystery Woman) and enjoying it. Always nice to fast-forward commercials.

And with my trust laptop, can surf around the BB and mostly read (trying NOT to inject an answer immediately on every issue; I am a tad opinionated) and post.

Trust all are starting the work week out well (and praying for those not . . . )

    Good morning all:

I am feeling much better this morning. Brent and I have a nice day planned for his birthday.

The only damper (pun intended) is the rain we're going to get all day today and the rest of the week!

We both have rain coats and umbrellas, but it's still a pain to run around town in the rain - especially since I seem to catch cold so easily.

Brent has requested homemade pizza for his birthday supper tonight so I will try to get that made this morning before we do our 'running' so all I have to do is pop it in the oven when it's time to eat.

    Cruising,

    Good Morning!

I'm feeling somewhat better myself this morning. Pray that it lasts and that this stuff doesn't settle in my chest as it seems to be trying to do. Hehe, I be up straightening the house but I'm still fighting the side effects from the Nyquil. [IMG] A couple of cups of coffee and I'll be up and around.

    Sue, drive carefully today.

Dr. Bob, someone has to be opinionated!

    Ya'll have a good day!

Well I'm not allowed to be opinionated [IMG] so ....

I've got Jack today as well as Ty. Ty didn't get back to sleep right away so I didn't get back to sleep at all. Jack's mother has signed up for a college course that lasts longer than last semester so he'll be here a lot later than before. Ug.... 8:30 til 12:30 minimum?? Ty goes to bed around that time for a nap and I had hoped to rest for an hour or so too. Getting up at 5:30 is not good for me.

Guess I'll just have to post, post, post. I'm trapped in this end of the house. I can't do anything but sit. Toys are everywhere! It's dangerous to even try and walk. I haven't even gotten to make my bed which is at the other end of the house! That's a big no-no for me!

Nick's at the table doing his easy work. The kitten thought she wanted to come down here but changed her mind when she met Jack. He's SO LOUD. They're watching Thomas the Tank Engine and playing with Power Rangers.

    Happy Birthday to Brent!

    LOL, poor Patches!

Diane, The bed will wait till this afternoon. Mine sometimes does. It's not made up yet this morning, but I have to get busy.

Power Rangers and Thomas, huh? That's a combination I wouldn't have thought of! We used to have to ban the daycare kids from watching Power Rangers because they wanted to karate chop each other!

At least Thomas is better than Montel. I have to find the remote! Even though today is makeovers I still can't stand it!

I'll be in and out today. I'm beginning to think that my allergy is trying to turn into something worse. My chest is kind of tight today. So I'm going to work a while and rest a while.

I wonder if Brent is getting the day off from schoolwork since it is his birthday? If I homeschooled it is the kind of thing Son would try.

    Happy Birthday Brent!

Good Morning, All. We both have bronchitis in this household. Sounds like it is going around the country! I would feel fine today if the coughing would stop. Ed got to the doctor sooner than I did so maybe his will not be so bad. The ice storm caused my doctor's office to be closed for a day.

She tested me for the flu. No flu, just bronchitis.

I'm waiting for a Schwan's delivery. I was really hungry when I made the order. Hope there is enough room in the freezer.

I'm having trouble giving my dog pills. I think that he has swallowed the pill and then we find it later where he has spit it out. I used to use cheese, but he is wise to that trick. Any suggestions?

I don't know about dogs, but there is a tool I have used with some success in getting a cat to take a pill. It's a thing that resembles a syringe, but has little grabbers at the end of the plunger. You put the pill on the end of it, place it so the pill is at the back of the tongue, push to release, and then take it out, shut the mouth and tickle under the chin. If someone else is holding the paws, this can work.

Of course the vet seems to have no trouble just grabbing the jaws at the corner, stuffing the pill in, and down it goes. I don't know how they do that! It must be a whole course in vet school!

Sorry to hear of your bronchitis Betty and Ed! Not much going around here for adults but several tiny ones have had RSV in our church. I haven't heard an update on the 'healthy' newborn who was near death from it. [IMG]

Betty, have you thought of putting the pill in the middle of a piece of hotdog?

Nick's just got his Science left to read. Thankfully he was able to just follow directions and do most of his work without any help today. These little ones do disturb our routine. LOLOL

Good Morning everyone. - (Yep it is still morning here!!)

How is everyone. We are COLD and COLD here, expecting some snow, but hey they have promised that for days now and nothing yet. I am looking forward to a few snowed-in days off.

OUCH..... Well I waited too long and have a pounding sinus headache! YIKES.

Little Jack JUST left. I just got Ty down for his nap, too. Nick's eating lunch and I've got 1 1/2 hours til I pick up the other two. I really had hoped I could sneak in a nap.

Carolyn, hope you keep warm! Such awful weather in the west right now.

Well so much for resting some today, but at least my house is straight and the checkbook brought up!

I guess I can rest while I eat lunch.

Diane, I almost had an extra child today. A neighbor child I used to keep called me and wanted me to pick her up from school as she was sick. I knew she'd been sinusy so I told her I'd be there as soon as I could get dressed. Before that happened her mother called. Seems every time the mother has to work out of town, the girl gets sick! Mom told me to just leave her at school, she'd be fine.

Sound's like something one of mine would pull! LOL

I think the weather is pretty much awful across the whole country right now. 'Cept down here in the south and the weatherman says that's fixing to change. It is supposed to rain tomorrow and then turn very cold (no snow [IMG] ). Just when I was getting used to the warmth. It's in the 70's here.

Jack's mom is taking a different course this semester and is leaving him from about 8:30 til 1:30. I told her I'd have to charge more but would let her decide. She was very generous with her original offer so I felt like she'd be fair or more than fair. It messes me up getting Ty to bed tho.

It's still cloudy here but almost 65°. I'm looking forward to the 18° nights if it will do away with the leaf molds and mildews! I almost never get a cold but my sinuses really bother me this time of year and with grass pollens.

My bed is STILL not made! I had to put Ty down before Jack left and his portacrib is in my room. Oh well.... I won't drop dead if I don't make my bed! LOLOL

Bone chillin' and damp here. High of 45. The dampness makes it feel colder than it is. I took a hot shower last night, not only to get clean, but because the heat would soothe the arthritis!

I want rid of the flies too!

Usually by this time of the year the flies are gone, but I promise that every time we open a door we get another one in the house.

There are way to many dogs in this neighborhood. There are at least 17 within a couple of blocks not counting my own 3.

    We need some cold!
