Hubby has to work tomorrow so I doubt I'll sleep in then either. I'll just have to go to bed extra early tonight.

It's supposed to be VERY windy tomorrow! I'm guessing that'll affect Cindi, Tony, Margo and others. I'm not sure Gib will get it since he's by the shore. Wish it would blow the pollen AWAY!

It will probably start hitting us tonight. I heard something about lots of rain and maybe some hail.

The radar shows the rain below you for now. It was heavy here for 2 days with lightning and thunder so loud!

It's still cloudy but the sun breaks through every once in a while. Nick's out playing with the neighbor kids. (Mr.Lady Godiva) I always dread mosquito season so I give him extra slack before that starts. Maybe this'll be the year he's outgrown his allergy to the bites!

ROFL, Mr. Lady Godiva. I was just reading about Lady Godiva. Interesting. [IMG]

Ah yes... at the age of 9, this neighbor boy took a ride on his Schwinn through the neighborhood wearing nothing but his 'hair'.

Almost done with the kids for the weekend! The family who had called about me keeping two more beginning Monday never called back. I'm guessing she didn't want to pay my price. Maybe she found a relative to do it. I charge WAY less than local daycares. For babies, they charge $110. and $80. for the other child. It's honestly okay with me. I wasn't looking forward to more kids at 6:00 a.m. and 5 days a week. I love having most Fridays off!

Margo, Gevalia is gourmet coffee that is shipped to your house. It is VERY good stuff, but kinda expensive. We got it for a while, but had to stop because of those pesky "budget concerns".

I'm not much of a coffee drinker so Maxwell House is fine with me!

Another big rain is just about to hit us. The thunder is SO loud! I love to sleep when it rains. It's a peaceful sound to me. I know. I'm weird!

Well! Was I the last one to bed last night and the first one to get up this morning?

Papers are done and it is a brisk 37º. It is supposed to get up to 57º with rain. At least it wasn't raining when I did the papers!

    Cruising,

Good morning, all. What's for breakfast? I don't normally eat breakfast, but right now, I am starving! I think I'll have some oatmeal! [IMG]

Morning all! It's quite windy here and sounds like it's going to tear the siding off the house! Rain is coming in again, and I'm not sure I'm ready for that.

Vivian looked out the door last night because we kept hearing something on the front porch. It turned out to be a black dog. Looks sort of like a border collie, but, really can't tell. I know she was skittish, hurt and hungry! She doesn't look to be very old. She was still there this morning guarding our front door. Nobody seems to know where she came from. So, Viv's named her "Molly" for now. We're going to put some "found" posters at the local crossroads markets.

Well, off to get some work done. Have a great day all!

Can't have a new house without a new pet! Stray's make the best pets once you get past the first mistrust of people that they have.

    Good morning everyone.

    It's payday soooo....

The kids have their allowances burning holes in their pockets. Guess we're going shopping today! We're going out for breakfast first, IF T ever gets ready. He slept in while Precious and I colored our hair. Now we're ready to go but he's not. We may have breakfast for lunch!

    Ya'll have a good day!

Boy it's windy here too! The slide to the swingset has not only blown over but has blown about 15 feet away! The sound of leaves and twigs hitting the house makes it sound like the siding is blowing off here too, Tony!

Nick and his friend are playing inside. It's just too windy for any outside play. The gusts are over 40mph. It'll be really nice by Monday, tho.

Were you interested in a dog, Tony? If she was at the door, she may be an 'inside' pet. Hope she's good for you. (Housebroken)

Everyone is a winder in their own little special way. Wind or lose, we all had fun.

I usually change my clocks around supper time.

That way we go to bed by the new time 'cause we will be getting up by the new time.

I managed to get a short nap in today. It felt SO good! Maybe I can stay up a little later tonight...

    Tony,
It is a noble thing to care for God's creatures, especially those who have been abandoned or are lost. 4 of our 7 dogs are rescued and it is so rewarding. In Genesis, it speaks of God giving us "dominion" over the beasts and that word actually means responsibility for the beasts.

    Cheers, and God bless,

    Jim

Every dog or cat I've ever owned was rescued. I think they turn out to be the BEST pets! [IMG]

Speaking of pets...we caught a mouse the other day and hubby showed it to OREO. That cat did the moonwalk - backwards! [IMG]

I agree Jim1999! All our cats have been adopted from the shelters and have brought us such joy! I feel blessed to have had them as 'friends'.

Sue, I turned the clocks forward at 2:30 and we even ate an earlier supper just to get in the mindset of tomorrows time. Nick's already had his shower, too. I wish they'd just leave the time alone tho! I have a very hard time adjusting to the changes and will probably lose sleep for a week or so because of staying awake extra 'late'.
