OOPS! Sorry. I forgot. Please give my apologies to Muffin. :D

Oreo doesn't like mice - he likes pigs...

I painted this heavy, plaster, piggy bank when my first grandchild was born (21 years ago). We cash it in each year for Christmas.

I have pictures of all 16 of my grandchildren sitting on this pig when they were learning to walk. It has been repainted three times during the last 21 years.

Oreo is carrying on the tradition. He actually thinks he's part of the family!

Oops! I didn't mean to call muffin a cat. My aunt had a cat by the same name so I think I just got that into my head. Has he found his treasure yet?

Sue, that picture of Oreo is tooooo cute! My Chip is white and black too.

What is the saying, "April showers [IMG] brings May flowers?"

Good morning all! Trust that all is well with you folks. As one of the Hungarian saying goes, "If we take away all the big problems and all the small problems, We are doing just fine!" [IMG]

It is raining here in the BIG Apple, and those old bones are aching all over. But I am looking for the rainbow.... and I can feel better already. Have a blessed day all in the Lord! [IMG]

We have the rain down here too. Today is my boyfriend's birthday and we were going to have a cookout. I don't know if we can now with this weather. :(

It's a bright day here in Georgia! It should hit 70° by this afternoon.

I let little Ty sleep til 10:00 here in the t.v. room so just got online minutes ago. He ate a big breakfast and is just as happy and rosey cheeked as can be. Jabber, jabber, jabber. I think he's sleep deprived. He's not going to bed until VERY late at night when his mother and dad go to bed. He sleeps on the floor by their bed.

Hope everyone has a great day! I know that wet weather ache, Barnabas and hope you feel better soon.

    Diane

It's working.... Ty ate a big lunch and has played outside, done his 'school work', watched cartoons and is just as bubbly as can be. He's talked my head off and run all over the house making animal sounds, playing with cars and trucks and doing 'tricks' for me to watch.

I'm not giving him an afternoon nap but am going to suggest mom get him to bed an hour earlier tonight if possible. I've got the link to the website that talks about symptoms of sleep deprivation in toddlers and the sleep needs for 3 and 4 year olds. He's yawning like CRAZY and he's only been up since 10:00.

Another report from the critter control:

Set out three mouse traps and just caught another one. This one was huge (for a mouse).

Muffin is very proud that we finally took notice to do something about the critters in the house. [IMG]

    Good morning all:

It's in the forties here with an expected high in the fifties and MORE rain. It will be like this through Sunday.

Thankful; are you sure it wasn't a rat? Regular rats look just like mice, same color - only larger. Only the sewer rats are black and ugly...

Today is work as usual with some laundry thrown in...

    Cruising,

He has slept all night and got up this morning and is now taking his morning nap. I think he is satisfied. No more critters this morning!

Oh Sue, I hope it isn't a rat. I think it was just a large mouse, but maybe not. We did get it with a mouse trap.

We may have a musical mouse. Tonight we set a trap behind the piano.

Thankful: The first time I saw a rat, I thought it was a large mouse because it looked like a mouse and was so cute. It was sitting up, in my kitchen, just looking at me! (We lived right behind a corn elevator.)

I woke my husband and asked him how big mice could grow. He told me what I had seen was a rat (possibly a young one).

I always pictured rats as black slimy things. I guess the only ones I had seen in the movies were 'sewer rats'.

Short summation: We tore the washer and dryer out of the house, in the middle of the night, and found where he had gotten in and patched up the hole before going back to bed... ;)

That's probably it. No wonder Muffin is so upset! [IMG]

You may have a nest in your wall or attic. Certainly this is what you pay your pest control company to handle! Mice and rats can carry the Hantavirus which is very deadly to humans and animals. The virus used to be in only foreign countries but has now killed people in New York and other areas.

    http://www.victorpest.com/mouse_rat_species.htm

I'd call and insist they send someone right out. Two mice (or rats) could mean a whole nest of babies waiting to inhabit your home.

Good morning all. MacKenzie woke up extra early and woke me right away. Then she woke the baby who wasn't too excited about that. We did manage to let Ty sleep until 9:00 but by then he'd soaked his pajama's, his blanket and urine was standing on the plasticized pad on his porta-crib all through a diaper. They ate a good breakfast and played down in our rec room until minutes ago. They want to go outside but it's not even 60° yet and they have on short sleeves and sandals. Now they're coloring paper dolls and 'cutting out' hair with safety scissors. I'll sure have a paper mess any minute now but I think 3 year olds need to learn to cut. [IMG] There's some yelling going on. VERY competitive, those two!

How much did Ty drink last night?!!!!!

    Good morning everyone!

Son is home again witha migraine. The weather is fixing to change again. Rain is coming in tomorrow. If this migraine isn't gone by Monday, we are headed back to the neurologist. This has gone on for most of two weeks already.

I have a bunch of things to accomplish today and have to work tomorrow, so I won't be around to much.

Ya'll have a couple of good days....

Thankful, I'm sure Muffin is very pleased. It shows that she believes she is your protector! On a cheerier note, how are the baby finches?

Diane, I don't know how you do it with those little ones! Hope they have a good time "cutting up!"

Bright and sunny in Philly! Too nice to be cooped up in here.
