    Evening all:

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday today!

I was recovered enough this morning to prepare AND eat our 'picnic' meal! I must have had a 72-hour flu bug. It started Thursday afternoon and let up Sunday afternoon.

Bobby is packing to head back for Kansas so I'm going to visit with him for awhile and then Brent and I will watch a movie before bedtime.

Tomorrow morning is my last 'corner' duty until September. Ya Hoooooooooo! Yippeeeeeeeeeee! I really don't mind the job, but people need a break, once in awhile, no matter what kind of work they do (and I'm no exception).

In case I don't get back on tonight...

    Pleasant dreams all!

Also, glad your tummy is better and enjoy your long summer break!

The pest control guy just called and had to reschedule for Thursday before noon. Hmmmm... You'd THINK I'd have some pull. LOL

    Morning all! [IMG]

Diane...the bleeding HAS stopped..PRAISE THE LORD! I'm praying it continues that way. I stopped taking any sort of pain medication including acetominophen and the bleeding has ceased. I was told I could continue to take the aceto without ANY problem, but that's just not been the case. Guess I will just continue to take the honey and eat cherries to try and relieve arthritis pain.

Sue, CONGRATS on the HUGE NUMBER OF POSTS!

Dr. Bob, you've got good reason to not be posting so much...you've got that new church. It might be hard to justify some of the time spent here, except that you might want to just unwind here and there on the boards! [IMG] I don't know if I'll ever catch up to you, Sue, or diane, but I'm trying! [IMG]

It's a bit warmer here this morning than yesterday. I'm hoping that I can get some things done this morning. We had to get a P O Box. We had some people rifleing through our mail again, and we're really not happy with that. But, it's not bad at $18.00 per year. At least our mail won't be tampered with or left sitting for everyone and their brother going through it.

Ya'll have a great day! [IMG]

    Good morning all:

Thanks folks, but I really don't know how I got this many posts! I spend way less time on here now than I used to. I'm very seldom on during the day now. I check in early in the morning and before I go to bed...

It is chilly, but sunny, this morning. It is supposed to be around 80º this afternoon.

Today is my last morning to work and we've got 'running' to do. I made a list of everyplace we need to go today, so I wouldn't forget anything, and there are 13 places on the list already!!! Several have to do with Dale's wreck - insurance, estimates, etc...

    Cruising,

Morning All, Good to see you around Dr. Bob and glad the new church is going so well!

Tony, It's only supposed to get to 75° this week but rain for a full week! I am NOT excited about THAT! I cleaned so very well the last 3 days.

I've been up since 5:30. Jim sets his alarm for 5:30 with no intention of getting up until after 6. I'm going to shoot him one of these days! Anyhow, I have Ty, Christian, Joshua already plus a friend from church had an emergency and needed one day of child care for her Nick. I had him in Sunday School last year and in AWANA for 2 years. He's one day shy of being old enough for a summer program at his school year day care so.... tomorrow is his big day. MacKenzie, Brayden and big sister Kelsey will be here at lunch time, if Mom is well enough to go to work. They won't come again until late Friday afternoon.

    Good morning all!

Sounds like everyone enjoyed their Memorial day. [IMG]

Tony, Sue, I'm glad you are both feeling better!

Poor me spent a good bit of yesterday in the After Hours clinic when my body rebelled for no reason whatsoever. Three hours and two perscriptions later I was sent home to suffer it out. It put a dent in our cooking plans since I couldn't be up to help, but we still ended up with shrimp and crablegs which everyone enjoyed. The kids especially liked the crablegs. It was so nice to hear them talking to their Dad while they ate them. I think they kept him well entertained. It's not often that they have their Dad's uninterrupted attention.

Whew Diane, you're going to have a household today! I'm not sure I want any extras today. That would mean I'd have to get dressed. I'm better today but still not up to snuff. Son's friend may be coming though, we'll see. I'm certainly not up to driving yet.

New kitty, named Butterfinger, is driving the kids nuts this morning because she wants to play and they want her to sit still so they can 'hold' her. [IMG] Little bugger is FAST! You don't catch her unless she wants to be caught. Right now she is attacking her scratching post. So funny!

All the boys are outside and the mosquitoes are horrible! I've got some of the natural repellents made from carnations and put it on the ones whose moms thought it mattered. Nick has 3 bites on his hands already. He's covered with clothing every where else. LOL

I've emailed a woman in town who is looking to fill her daycare slots. She's not a Christian and has problems finding children because of that. The mom I'm helping today not only has this boy and his older sister but she's pregnant!

Hope you feel better Cindi! Was it the allergens? The grass pollen really bothers me!

What is it about a day after a holiday? It seems we have to work extra to catch up. I have already hit the ground running this morning. I have made reservations for Florida, talked to my son and son in law, called the pharmacy, working on the laundry, cleaned the kitchen. I'm waiting on the Schwan delivery, then off to pick up airline tickets and go by the doctor's office to drop off some papers.

Congratulations Sue and Dr. Bob on your number of posts. I don't think I will ever hit 10,000.

MK, sorry you are not well. Hope today is better.

Hope everyone has a great day.

    Thanks all.

I'm feeling better and better as the day goes on. I'm considering running out to pay some bills that will be late by tomorrow. One is cartags though and they are always sooooo busy on the last day of the month, so I'm not sure I can handle standing up that long. It might be better to just pay the late fee.

It made me feel even better to do the bills and still have a bit left over! God is good! [IMG] [IMG]

Thankful, there's always more to do after a holiday cause we don't do the normal things on the holidays and we use more dishes. Can't create a feast without dirtying up the kitchen!

You reminded me, laundry! I put a load in to wash early this morning and forgot to put it in the dryer! See ya....

Not around much, but a big Tuesday BOY HOWDY from wet Wyoming. While we are still an inch low for the year on precip, we had OVER an inch fall Sunday/Monday. So everything is green and glistening this morning.

Had to drive the bride to work. Her car quit - and they think it just a fuel pump/filter. Has never been in the shop since she bought it 'cept for a couple oil changes. And new tires, since the sidewalls rotted.

Bought it new - 97 nissan sentra, loaded, with 24k actual on it now after 8 years! She drives it to work, parks in garage, drives it home, parks in garage.

Maybe it DOES need a new filter or something!!

Hey yall. Glad it seems everyone is doing OK overall. Things here are a bit dreary, but its a good lazy - do nothin' kind of day.

Things have been so busy around here for about 2 weeks - go, go, go. So taoday its stay, stay, stay. (Even still in PJ's!)

We had a tornado hit here Sunday, not no damage was done to the house or the church. Just some trees down and lots of debris and kids toys all over the place. It was a strange experience.

The girls had their first dance recital Sunday, too, and it was precious. They sure are a lot of fun.

WEll, you all stay dry and warm or wet and cool, whatever the case. See yall around!

I cleaned so long and hard for 3 days that my house is clean even tho it doesn't look it right now! I've got kids sleeping in almost every room. LOL and 4 awake.

I'm glad you mentioned those clothes! I've got some to move from the washer to the dryer. I do laundry every day.

    Hi all:

I got MOST of my running done this morning, but not all of it. It took longer at State Farm than I expected. The 'other driver' submitted an insurance card to the police, at the scene of the accident, from Progressive.

State Farm called Progressive while I was there and the policy number does not match the name she gave to the police...

I am afraid we're dealing with an uninsured motorist here and Dale only had liability on his truck. He does have insurance that covers uninsured motorists, but I'm not sure how far that goes. I am waiting on a call from State Farm to see what further investigations found out.

The 'other driver' gave no phone number and has no listing in the phone book. I'm not sure what's going on unless she had fake papers?

It is against the law in Illinois NOT to have insurance.

    I am not a happy camper. :(

You'd think it would be pretty bad to give false info to the cops! In Georgia, your VIN will pull up if your insurance is current, or not. New program.

Sure hope you get good news sometime today!

I just returned from my errands. We actually had a rain shower. Not much, but it helps. The doctor's office was closed for lunch by the time I got there so that was costly errand for Ed because I went to Walmart...I now have all the clothes I need for the next three trips (actually, I will wear the same thing for each trip) AND, they have the cutest little girl clothes I can hardly wait until my granddaughter gets here next week to go shopping. It will so much fun (If we can find what she likes).

Sue, that is terrible about the insurance. Maybe you will have good news later today.

It is against the law in Oklahoma not to have insurance also, but then we have to buy uninsured motorist insurance. Doesn't make sense, does it?
