I could call and check, but it would be sort of a waste of time, because, as you say, all they will tell me until Vivian calls them is that she is either there or not there. I just love those "HIPPA" Laws....Even with the power of atty it's hard to get info without threatening legal action. Must be a "Georgia" thing...LOL...I think the sun has baked their brains! ;)

I just shut the windows and turned on the central air. Hubby works in a hot factory all day and loves to come home to a cool house. The next 7 days it will be in the high 90s with very high humidity and not a chance of rain in sight...

Brent and I ran around all morning doing errands, came home, ate lunch, and delivered the papers. It is SO hot outside. Still better than snow though!

I bought two small Hydrangea bushes and a Snowball bush. I'm hoping hubby can get them planted this evening - after the sun goes down.

I'm sure glad I put a roast in the crockpot for supper. It is definitely too hot to cook this late in the day. I wish I would've boiled my cabbage this morning too, but we had a lot of running to do and wanted to get all the errands done before it got too hot.

    §ue (sweltering)

It's like that here, Sue! But, Viv and I are going to have to eat out tonight. We won't get out of the doctors office until after 7pm. I'm not sure where we're going to eat, but I know it's not here.

As of just a few minutes ago, the results from the MRI hadn't arrived. They are "in transit" according to the lab. I hope they get there before I do.

Jim's having to cover a large, large territory since all but 2 salesmen quit so he just called and is about 2 hours away from home. Guess Nick and I will come up with something light for supper. We had left overs for lunch. Shrimp and pasta (Nick got all the shrimp), lima beans and okra. Nick and Ty also ate the kielbasa from 2 nights ago. LOL. I ate veggies. You'd think I'd be skinny the way I eat. [IMG]

    Good Evening [IMG]

Well it's time for me to go back to work. I'm ready [IMG] . I got to sleep for 12 hours today. I've even got dinner ready for tomorrow. When, I get home all I have to do is fire up the crock pot and throw it in it and toddle off to bed. I'm feeling a bit better. The medicine the doctor has me on is seeming to do the trick.

So I'll see you all in the morning after a night of work and i'll let you know how it went!

    Night night

Well Ed, I may just have some juicy happenings by tomorrow afternoon. I'll have the Youth Minister's kids from 7 til 7 tomorrow and they've been with their grandmother for 3 days. She says she's spoiled them a bit. ;)

Well, I'm beat and child number 1 arrives at 5:45 with the next ones not long after and my mother coming in for a visit on Friday thru early Sunday morning so... think I'll hit the sack/ hay or just the bed.
[IMG] Sue would 'whup' me and have a fit if I posted this full size so CLICK HERE so you can see the cartoon.

CJ: This isn't a blog. It's where we come to whine, vent, and solve the world's problems. :D

OTOH, maybe it is.

I am not going to hit the hay, I'm just going to bed.

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Morning all:

Well, my results for the MRI didn't show any fractures as such, though one could be considered such. The diagnosis was I have bulging discs (herniated) in L3, L4, L5 S2 in my lumbar. The tailbone and sacro sections are in bad shape too. This has been one reason I've been in so much pain over the years, and this fall really aggravated it making it NECESSARY for surgery. Otherwise they are talking about possibly putting me into a wheelchair. Not good. They said it may be even with the surgery. I asked if they were sure they didn't just want to euthanize me now and get it over with...my doctor didn't think that was funny and said he understood my frustration and knew I was in pain. But, he can't give me any pain medication because of the blood loss, so I've got to "grin and bear it" for now. But, yet, I know God is in control. I'm not going to complain about it. Suffering is a part of life for the saved and unsaved alike. It made me start to formulate a series of chapters which I'm entitling "Why NOT Me?" The cover is already in the works with the words "Why Me?" in Yellow against a maroon backround and the word "NOT" above, slightly tilted with an arrow leading in between the two words. My Doctor said he believes I could write it. Said he might even pay for publication. Hmmmm....My doctor believes I could write it? Boy!

Vivian was a little upset over the diagnosis. She's seen me go through so much and has stood by me through it all and I think it just was overwhelming to her to see another thing happen. And then there's her mom. They still haven't gotten her blood pressure up enough to even start the tests to see if that mass is cancerous. I'm praying God will supply the means for us to go down there, and also to take a few days vacation away from it all. We're both very mentally and emotionally worn down. But, we're finding God continues to give strength and blessing. I guess we never grow without the tempests of life.

Diane, it was also good to hear about your daughter and son in law. I've been praying for them. I'm also praying for you, Jim and Nick.

Well, sorry ya'll, I've got to try and get some rest. I took an extra Xanax to try and help with pain and to help me sleep, and they're kicking in.

    Have a great day! [IMG]

    T

Good morning Tony and Bro. Ed:

Tony, praying that everything will be straigtened out before long. You have a full plate!

Another hot, muggy, day today. I am going outside now to finish some painting. It will be much too hot later on.

Sue, it's far too early to be up and moving around enough to paint. I'm not even dressed yet!

You're gonna need a nap this afternoon! [IMG] [IMG]

    Good morning everyone!

Tony, my bad disks are in my neck and upper back but I know what you are going through. Look on the good side though at least nothing was fractured. I'll keep praying. My adopted sister's husband had to have the surgery done on his back last year. He is also disabled, but like you continues to do, even when he shouldn't, "cause it needed doing". It's not a pleasant process, but once the intial trauma from the surgery was over, he was glad he'd had it done. (His back problems were caused from a load of logs falling on him and crushing portions of his spine)

My day is going to be generally boring. Housecleaning and sewing. Good news is that I just about have the laundry caught up, including all the sorting. Yesterday I took an entire 30 gallon bag of clothes out of Bitsy's room that were to small or stained. No wonder the kid couldn't find clothes to wear. She couldn't find the good stuff for all the bad.

Well the kids are awake so I guess it's time to start my day!

    Morning everyone [IMG]

Well the first night of work back went well. I was very missed [IMG] . It's always nice to be valued. Anyway, it's time for some much needed sleep. I will catch you all when I get up.

MK, I know what you mean about too much stuff in their rooms. I tried to find suitable clothes for my grandchildren to take to Florida. I just gave up and took them to Walmart.

We received pictures yesterday from them. They seem to be having a great time. They were kayaking. The 13 year old has gone to church camp in Daytona with his cousins.

When granddaughter was here, the VBS music teacher was the pianist. She asked her, "Do you know my Nana? she plays the piano over there."
Cute, huh. You know I am across the sanctuary from the pianist when I play the organ.

On my way to the beauty shop. Will stop by later.

Well, I just threw away a bazillion socks!

I don't know where all the extras come from. But I got tired of them and the mismatch pile kept growing bigger and bigger. I wonder just how many belonged to friends of the kids?

One of Bitsy's friends left her shoes here the other day.....under Bitsy's bed! I found them when I went to vaccuum.

Just where is Diane, today? I have her weather report. HOT! humid too. Good thing the lawn mower is broken, otherwise I'd have to get out and mow in this heat.

Thankful, kids are a hoot! Bitsy is 7 and having to come to terms with the idea that money doesn't grow on trees and just because her best friend is an only child and can do a half a dozen activities, it doesn't mean she is entitled to do the same thing. So she calls me yesterday from her friend house to tell me, "Gaby is going to teach me everything she learns at her piano lessons. And it's free!"

I'm not sure if that means she is learning the value of a dollar OR that she thinks that I'm a tightwad!

Sue, did you get your painting done before you melted?
