I've been through one split in 1995. It left a bad taste in my mouth for church members in general, church leaders and pastoral staff. It was a time of childish behavior, backbiting and pure SIN.

Good afternoon all! Just have Ty today so we left Nick home (Jon's sleeping) doing his school work and ran to ship some home school items I'd sold on Ebay.

I've STILL got things to fold and store from washing up from the kids play fort and places Kelsey sat while picking her chicken pox. I have AWANA tonight so not much spare time today.

It's pleasant today but the next 3 days are to be incredibly hot. I'll have Ty at 5:30 each morning but only the two well childen tomorrow until around 3:00 and then mom will bring Kelsey. I've promised Ty's mother to keep the two far, far apart until Monday when she should be non contagious. I only have Ty Friday. [IMG] He's SO pleasant and easy to care for.

    NICE rainfall now!

Wow, posting here has really dropped off. I'll fill in with my 'night' before saying good night.

Tonight was our first AWANA for the year. As co-Commander / Director of Sparks, I'm going to do Council Time every other week. The other lady says she can't do Council time.... and I don't mind it at all. That's only 30 mins. every other week and the rest of the time I'll 'float', help solve problems, assist in Closing Ceremony, etc. The night sure went quickly but we did stay and visit for about an hour afterwards.

Tomorrow I have Ty at 5:30 and then the other mom is bringing her WELL kids at 8:00. She'll bring the Chickenpox girl at 2:45 so I can keep her away from Ty. That means an early morning for me and a LONG day, too.

I am SO tired~ I'm not sure what's in the air but we're all sneezing and feel congested. Hubby's still out working.

    Sleep well.
    Diane

    Morning all:

Gibbers, you crack me up, and believe me, sometimes I really need that humor! Thanks! [IMG]

It's a steamy 72 here. It got to 100 here yesterday with a heat index of 110+. Air quality was poor, and when I went out I nearly stopped breathing. Three breathing treatments yesterday and two times on the inhalers.

We had an emergency meeting of the church last night to take care of some necessary business. The deacon who had resigned was back and his resignation was considered null and void. We finally voted to pay the ex-pastor 2 weeks severence pay, and to tell him his services were no longer needed. We requested he not be on the premises again. It was in a kind Christian manner. He showed up, and the deacons walked him from the front door to where he wanted to go, and then out after he had collected his belongings. Other things in the church were discovered missing. The locks will be changed today.

We revoked the ministerial license of the assistant pastor. He told the majority of the congregation the other day that he got it under false pretenses. It's hard to defrock a minister. The people here still love him, though we think he's been misled by a deceiving spirit. He's not resigned his membership, and neither has his wife. We're praying for a reconciliation to the church. He has a good heart and loves the Lord, and we know this.

We had a good number at that meeting last night. 21 members showed up, and then six kids for the regular Wednesday night services. We nearly didn't have a service, but I started playing the piano, and we sang some very uplifting hymns and listened to several testimonies. God is good! A remnant has survived the attack of the adversary, and we praise the Lord for His protection and guidance and the healing that has already started to take place.

Diane, I hope you have a good day with the kids. You and many others here are constantly in my prayers. Keep yourself safe and out of that sun. Jim, too. He doesn't need to get sick.

Sue, praying for you and Dale and your grandson. God bless you.

I wish we could have a BB get together here in the South.

Make it a wonderful, God honoring day!

    T

    Good morning all:

It looks like we're in need of relocating the Coffee House again.

Another sultry day in Illinois. We have scattered thunderstorms forecast for the rest of the week and week-end. Just when I thought the roof was getting fixed this Saturday!!!

Rain has been so scarce this summer, I'll believe it when I see it...
