    Good morning all:

I just got back from the ER and Brent now has a half-cast on his arm (from his wrist up above his elbow). He is also wearing a sling.

The doctor said his forearm was sprained and he may have a break around the elbow, but he couldn't tell for sure so they are treating it like a break.

He is to see his regular doctor Friday for more x-rays.

It is his right arm, but he won't get out of doing school work because he is left-handed. [IMG]

Poor Brent! It's just not fair is it? :(

    Good almost afternoon everyone!

Mine all woke up pitiful, one with a sore throat, one that just couldn't get awake, and one that was achy. So we just medicated the bunch and rested this morning. They are still a bit draggy but are all feeling some better. I'm achy myself this morning. I pulled a muscle in my back Thursday morning and it seems determined not to go away.

I think we will continue to have a quiet day. T is going to take the older ones to see "The Fog" ( ) and Bitsy will probably head up to her friend's house. I'm going to do laundry and work on Son's "Matrix" outfit that he wants for Halloween. If I get all that done and feel like it I have a nice piece of synthetic tweed I'm going to make up into a jacket and skirt for myself, if I can find the lining I know I bought to go with it.

I left some fresh banana bread for ya'll's enjoyment.

    See ya!

I feel somewhat out of place. I woke this morning in the usual manner; quite well and feeling perky. Wishing everyone better health and happy days.

The young lad seems injury prone. Wasn't just a short time back that he broke his elbow? Now another injury. You might have to curtail his visits, Sue. Trust it will heal well.

It is rather windy to-day. I was standing in the garden and next thing you know I was on my back. It blew me over. Wife says that doesn't take much for me. No injury cos I am used to going for tumbles. I don't even get chance to shout "timber". At least the sun is shining brightly and it is quite enjoyable.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Poor Brent! Hope he heals quickly.

Today is a gorgeous day--sunny and cool with a touch of autumn in the air. Think I'll go out on the deck and have a piece of banana bread and a cup of tea.

Scarlett, all my smiley's are working...

Thanks for the prayers and thoughts, folks.

Jim: Brent broke his left elbow last Spring when he feel off his bicycle. Yesterday, he fell off of a boat he was playing on and broke his right elbow.

I am going to have to teach him to stifle the natural instinct of putting out his hands to break his fall. That is how he broke both elbows. He needs to 'tuck and roll'... [IMG]

He is not in any pain, he's just uncomfortable and can't do much for himself with one hand...

Time for supper. We are having Taco Salad.

    CYAL,

I hope and pray that Brent heals quickly.

Just a quick update on Jan. She got into the seizure clinic last Wednesday - a month early. The doctor says that her seizures are stress related. This is a blessing - because the cause of the seizures could have been life threatening or of a permanent nature.

God is good. Thank you all for praying.

PTL for the good report, Dan! Stress is fixable.

Brent is tired and is going to bed early. I think I will too.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Two broken arms - two casts - in the same year! Got to admire a full-contact childhood! Now we've got to work on a scar. You know, one of those Indiana Jones sort of scars that brings about, "Back when I was just a kid, I got this scar....."

Got any leftover plywood from the roofing job? We could build a ramp for his bike or teach him how to parachute off the garage roof......

    Morning all:

It's a very cool 42 degrees (F) here this morning with 93% humidity. I'm quite chilled to the bone for some reason.

I made it to Sunday School yesterday, but not through church. We had to leave right after Sunday School. I told the associate pastor that I wasn't feeling right, and he said I was looking rather pale and sweating like a horse. I came home and went right to bed. I was in my sweats, flannel shirt and two pairs of socks, covered by a sheet, comforter and no fans were on. That's VERY UNUSUAL for me. I woke up and the whole bed and myself were wet from sweat. The church sent me a "prayer quilt" and one for my sister in Waycross as well. They brought it yesterday afternoon while I was still down for the count. That was a blessing.

Today I go back to the urologists office and the pre-admission office at the hospital.

Sue, I'm praying for Brent and ya'll.

Padre, I had two casts when I was 13 years old, AT THE SAME TIME...one on each arm. I couldn't write for 12 weeks. That was NOT a fun time in my life. I had to take all my tests at school by oral exam. I did a lot better that way, though. ;)

Bro. Dan, praise the Lord on the good news. [IMG] Ain't God good? AMEN! [IMG]

I'm ready for this upcoming surgery on Wednesday to be over with. I don't know whether I'm going to have to stay as an in-patient or if they'll do it out-patient. If my blood pressure disappears again, he said I'll be in the hospital at least one night for observation. I'm doing my living will today and updating my old one via codicil (sp).

Hope you all have a wonderful day today. I'm praying for all here.

    In Christ,

    T

    Good morning all:

Tony, praying all goes well at the doctors. I will be glad for you when this is over!

52ºF right now, heading for a high of 75º. It's going to be beautiful for the next few days.

I'm sure glad Brent is left-handed so he doesn't have to miss any school!

    Surfing,

Okay, just how did it get to be the 17th already! I'm not ready!!! It's going to be November in just a few days and I'm certainly not ready for Thanksgiving. And then it'll be Christmas.......okay, I'm mostly ready for Christmas. I'm not ready for another year to be gone already though!

Sigh.....the days just go by too fast.

    Good morning everyone!

It is very cool here this morning also. We had to break out the sweaters. It's supposed to get much warmer later this afternoon.

I have a list of things to accomplish today, none of which I'm really motivated to do. The big thing is to call the folks about my sewing machine software. It up and decided it needed upgrading the other day but won't upgrade! I called last week and had T do what they told us to do, and it still won't upgrade. Keeps giving us the message that we have to upgrade the cardwriter and then asks for information that we don't have! If this stuff hadn't been so expensive, I'd chunk it and go with another program.

    Anyhow.....

Tony, good luck at the doc's. I pray that you get to feeling better soon.

Sue, don't listen to Padre. What Brent really needs is a ramp for his skateboard! :D

Itrs' nice and sunny here looks like a great day. I'm with you Menagerie it can NOT be the close yet. I have so much to do and so little time to do it in. I've been so busy with work and the girls, and the other little things going on in my life, i've not had a chance to look and say, wow Fall is here. ACK! It's my favorite time of year. I adore the way the leaves change colors. I hadn't thought we had a frost yet but, It does look like things are changing. The colors are just Beautiful.

I'll check in with you later!

Good morning everyone. I missed all the going ons yesterday. We are having beautiful fall weather (with no wind which is unusual for us).

We had great church services yesterday and lunch with Ed's children and the adorable 18 month old grandson. He is learning to talk and imitates facial expressions. He is so cute.

Sue, you are going to have to take Brent to Sonic. That poor boy!

I have so much to do this morning that I don't know where to start so I may just stay on the BB. [IMG]

    I'll check in later.

    Good morning!
Tony, will pray all goes well with your surgery and that stone will be gone once and for all!
Sue, I think Thankful has a good suggestion about taking Brent to Sonic. I hear the Sonic Blast is especially good for injured right elbows! I have a coupon for a free one if you'd like to use it.
It's cold in the house for the first time. Maybe fall has finally arrived. I refuse to turn the heat on so out come the sweaters and blankets!

Woohooo! It's up to 65 here now. We're supposed to get to 80 today. It might get higher than that. We haven't turned our heaters on here, either, and we're not planning to until Nov 1st unless it get's cold on a continuing basis.

Thanks all for the prayers. Viv's supposed to be on her way home in a few minutes, and she's ready for all of this to be over as well. Vivian took all day Wednesday off for the surgery.

It's sunny here and there are deer in the back by the fence. I love it out here! [IMG]

    NO RAMPING ALLOWED!!!

I'd love to take Brent to Sonic, but I was putting gas money back so I could go visit my son in WI and we had to use that when Dale drove up there to pick Brent up Saturday.

I won't drive to WI in the winter. I learned my lesson last year! So, it doesn't look like I'll be seeing Vern until next Spring. [IMG]

Anyway, gas prices are just too high to go someplace just for pleasure... :(
