    Good morning all!

Tony, I'm glad Viv got to work all right.

Gina, I hope you're feeling better soon.

Betty, I've been watching the fires in OK. I'm glad they didn't make it to your area.

My NEW computer was messed up all last evening! I was on the phone, most of the night, with tech support from Symantec, Norton, and Microsoft.

I'm praying it's fixed now! It's bad enough to have problems with an old computer, but when you get a new one, you kind of expect it to work right!

It is warmer here this morning, but it is also raining. That's all right because I have enough to do right here to keep me inside...

    HAGD!

    Good Morning, All!

We still have a danger of fire today, but I think Tony has some of our winds that we had yesterday. We probably need to check our shingles!

I didn't get out at all yesterday, but I have to take some food to church today for a funeral lunch and then later go to the funeral. No one has called me to play yet so I don't think I will have to.

I think I met the man once who died. The church has been praying for him and some people referred to him as an "old" man. He was only a year older than I am. [IMG]

I will not accept the fact that I am old or elderly. Although sometimes on the news they call a 55 year old elderly. [IMG] Of course these are just "kids" that are reporting the news.

Hope everyone has a great day. I really need to get busy. Not sure doing what, but I am sure I will do it well.

    See you all later,

    Betty

    Good almost afternoon ya'll!

I slept until 10 this morning! It felt sooo good. I've been really tired here lately, probably because of the cold I caught from T. I'm better, he's better, but the stupid thing has moved to the kids. Precious is about in the middle of her run with it and Son came down with it yesterday. He is miserable this morning, as much with the cold as with the fact that he doesn't feel like playing outside and it is almost 70 and beautiful! I've put him in the tub with some vapor bath, so hopefully he'll be a little more comfortable when he gets out.

Thankful, I truely believe that you are as young as you feel! I refuse to believe that life stops once you reach 55----but I'll take the discount(in 14 years)! :D

Pamela, nosy me wants to know how you are in PA if your profile line says SC? Are you just visiting?

All that sleep has given me some energy. I think I'll do like Thankful and get busy at something.

Well Thankful, I WAS reading the board last night, and it DID read in this order:

    little old lady (Thankful)
    Go Blue Devils!

I was left wondering what kind of sports team that is you're on. Bingo? Crocheting?

Ahhh...the joy of being on the internet and thus far out of reach. ;)

Well, Betty, you certainly don't look even 55. If you were like me and post a photo that is fifteen or so years younger than I am. If it is any consolation, I will be 79 in another 8 days and still feel chipper as ever, except a little slower. Then, wife says I was always slow. Not sure if she meant physically or mentally!

You know you are old when Walmart turns you down as a store greeter.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Ok Gina, now you and MK are taking turns picking on me. :D

Thanks, Jim. My picture is now nearly 4 years old. I was amused when one of the posters said that he was 58 and didn't believe that I was older than he was. Maybe he was just being kind.

    Happy Birthday to you Jim!

Let's see, Gina. Bingo to me is too boring! I have only won once at Bingo. I gave up crocheting a long time ago. Not sure what sports team I could be a member of. I will give that some thought! Oh, maybe ice skating, but I think I will give that up also.

    Howdy All!,
I came in real early to get BH, I found her wrapped up in a hand towel on the counter....but no crumbs anywhere!!
Got a late start on my day, wife wasn't feelin good & slept till 10:30, course I had to do my husbandly duty & sleep with her!
Got my truck fixed (I hope), Agee got all the ornaments boxed up & told me I could put them in the attic instead of the building. At least Sam's lips are safe but it ought'a be fun climbin' & reachin' with this rib.
Well guess I better let BH go outside like I told her I would...she may have a small brain but a great memory!! When I did get up this mornin' she was actually sittin' in her cage lookin' out the window with an almond in her mouth!! Later Gang!

Was disappointed to wake up and see #89 closed. Wondered if the squirrel made it out safe.

If not, I could introduce my pet elephant. Hoxie

We relocate to a larger facility every 20 pages and, yes, BH is fine. [IMG]

Greetings and Happy New Year from Philly!

New Year's is big here, as it is one of the 2 holidays we believe we OWN in this town (the other is the 4th of July, of course! You would REALLY have to want a good argument to disagree with that one!).

Why, you ask? The Mummers Parade is why! Anyone out there ever seen it?

String Bands, Fancy Brigades, Comic Clubs. Sort of like a Mardi Gras parade but without the lewd displays, and on New Year's Day in the cold.

People costumed in satin, spangles and feathers marching with floats and props who put on 5 minute presentations in front of judges for prize money that doesn't even begin to pay the expenses. It's done for the love of the tradition (100 years+) and often passed from generation to generation.

    Check it out: MUMMERS SITE

I've heard of a Mummers Parade, but definitely have never seen one.

Thankful, is it time to do a rain dance? Mama said when it snowed there a few weeks ago all it did was wash the red dust out of the air on to all the cars.

If elephants are afraid of mice...wonder if that goes for squirrels?
I was gettin' ready to take BH outside & it started raining. Wasn't supposed to do that till tonite! Now it's thundering too, & BH ain't happy. At least I got Agee's to do list done. But found out I got a mess in my building to clean up...I keep leftover nuts & bolts & stuff in coffee cans that Agee gives me, well Sam likes to play with old cans & such & she dicovered mine....you can figure the rest. Needless to say when I do go out there I'll be there awhile!
Why do we say "needless to say" & then say it anyway???

Gayla, we need to do something. The rainfall is 12 inches below normal. We need rain, rain, rain! On the news, they showed where are the fires are and it really looks like Oklahoma is burning!

I think it is time to start praying for rain.

Red Cross and Feed the Children are helping the families.

I remember an older saint up in hills when it hadn't rained for quite sometime. People saw him walking around one day with an umbrella & asked him what he was doing. He answered very simply...Prayed for rain.

My brother just called and told me that a fire got within a mile from one of his properties and the wind shifted and went the other direction and they got the fire under control. That is definitely a praise.
