You guys and gals are might quiet today!

Donuts sound wonderful. You know what I could really go for? Sopapillas. With honey. I'm gonna have to check around and see if anyone out here makes 'em!

My oldest has been home from school sick, so I just gave her feet a workover, focusing the massage on the parts that relate to her stomach, pancreas, and lungs, and when I started doing that she relaxed and smiled and fell asleep. [IMG] I love being able to do that for them!

Gina, I need to be quiet! If I once get started about everything that is going on around here, I might never stop.  On top of that, I'm cross and I have a headache.

Crawling back into my hole to make one more attempt at calm before I have to accompany 70 or so 5th graders on a field trip tomorrow.

Feel free to go join in on my whine o' the day in the WPF!

HOW many kids? That's INSANE woman! I say they take a field trip to recess. LOL

Sue, thanks! I'll check out that recipe right now. I've been on a whole wheat kick, so soft, fluffy, white, crispy, chewy, flakey, light, pillowy layers...
'scuse me...I should probably take this private!

Ew. It says to use two quarts of oil to fry them in.

They don't sound very good anymore!

Ok, maybe they do, but not if I have to see and smell that oil. I could feel my arteries clogging just reading that!

Then again, how much can they clog if ya just have one or two?

Bringing a freshly dunked & scrubbed BH in tonite. Thats right, my wife actually gave a squirrel a bath in a bowl! It was absolutly amazing! The closest she's ever been to water is that in her cage bottle. Agee filled a big bowl with warm soapy water, set it in the kitchen floor & we got in the floor prepared to get eat alive, but I still have ALL my fingers. She let Agee dunk her then I held her while Agee scrubbed where blood & all was dried. She actually seemed to enjoy it, even if she didn't know what was going on. Only our Lord could make a wild critter trust someone that much!! I told Agee I just had to tell about the "baptizin" fore I come to bed.
She looked absolutly pathetic all soaked but she acts like she feels GREAT!
OK, enough ranting, I just hope she don't try to fill up a sink or sumpin' tonite!!
    Ya'll have a blessed evening!!

Blood!???? Where the blood come from?

I must have missed sumpin.

    Poor BH!

Haha Gina! I'm hoping to just have to actually deal with my own and maybe a couple of the others. I've been told I'm not the only parent going. I hope they've been telling me the truth.

I did join you in some whine(we might need some cheese :D )

I've had a cup of tea and I'm headed to slumberland......

    Morning all:

Wow, blood & BH??? I definitely missed something over the past few days.

Vivian's sister came through Murfreesboro yesterday and called twice, but the junction box up at the pole where all the junctions for the phone lines are switched over from the area code 615 to 931 allowed everything to go through as 615. So we didn't get her calls and missed them. Viv took a whole day off from work for that, too.
They made it home and then she called and told us what had happened with the lines.

We've got a lot of stuff to do today. Vivian is still in bed for now. I'm going to let her stay until around 7 and then I'm going to have to get her up. We've had birds building nests in our gutters and drains, and we're going to have to go up and remove them, or at least I am. Also have to go to the store. We're totally out of some things and really short of others.

Ya'll have a nice day. [IMG]

    Afternoon Folks,
and as I said ya can relax about BH. She finally reached the age where she goes into heat. Shes just not physically able to keep her self cleaned like she would if healthy. So we help. But we had a ball last nite with her. I was worried awhile back cause I wasn't sure how long their mating cycles last. I had read only a few hours, but it must be a few hours over several weeks. Thats why I was tryin to get up with a rehabber last weekend, & had to bite my tongue!
At least I got to work a full week, but things aren't lookin great for next week. But I know our Lord will provide something for me(us) to do.
MK..hope you survived the field trip!
Sue, that happened to me the other day twice. I would hit the add reply button & ZAP! no post to be seen anywhere.
Well I gotta go for now...sounds like BH is terin her cage apart, better go scratch her ears!

    Ooooooh, ah, oooooooh.........

We're back and I'm half dead. We made it back with all the kids, though, and they had enough energy to play on the playground for the 30 minutes before school let out.

Just let me tell you, I'm glad it's over. I knew it was going to be a bad day when I get nearly to school and realize I've forgotten the fresh tape for the camcorder. That's okay as Walmart is right down the street and I still have 30 minutes before the busses leave. Get that fixed and get back to school and find something is wrong with the camcorder. It won't take the tape (yes, I bought the right kind) and it keeps shutting down. Well parents don't ride the bus so since I was driving I left and ran back to the house and got my camcorder(PTL, it was actually charged) and headed out.

Course the busses had left before me so I was, well, umm, pushing the speed limit trying to catch up. Caught up with them just before you enter B'ham and my low tire pressure warning light comes on. Last time that happened the tire was flat within two minutes. Found a station, pulled over and couldn't figure which tire was low. They were all low. A nice fellow that works with a utility company there checked them, added air and one tire was lower than the others, so that must have been the one.

Finally get to where we were going (McWane Center) and have a great time until the IMAX theatre. Made me sick and gave me a headache that I'm still suffering from. Made 3 of the 4 kids I was with sick too. (the fourth was busy taking care of her fella who doesn't like IMAXs and wasn't paying attention) I thought I was going to die before I got out of there. And it wasn't even one that was all that exciting. You expect to get sick from racing cars or soaring airplanes. You don't expect to get sick from lions and elephants.

It was a good thing I took Chris' medicine with us. They wouldn't have made it back on the bus without it. He had big dark circles under his eyes when we got back to the school. Solid ground helped a lot though and he's out playing, hopefully no worse for the wear.

I'm going to drink about a gallon of coffee and try to recover.

Preacher, so long as no one ran the rocking chair over BH's tail, we won't worry. Course we would like a picture of a squirrel taking a bath. [IMG]

    Afternoon everyone,

We finished school, ate lunch, then perused the thrift shops after not finding what we wanted at Wal-Mart. It was nice to get out of the house for a bit. It was 52º - feels like spring to ME...

We went grocery shopping at IGA also and ran across a GREAT deal on chicken-leg quarters.

    18¢ a pound!

We bought a 10# bag for $1.80!!! Actually, we bought 3 bags and would have bought more if the freezer wouldn't have been full!

    Time to fix supper.

    TTFN,

AhHa...Thats what Agee said last nite, but now that we know she's no worse for the wear...if I can only get that cheap,...cheap, Dollar Store camera to take a decent pic!!
Glad to see ya mostly survived the day. Sometimes (nowdays) I'm glad we don't have a yungun', though if Agee has Her way we may be Foster Parents someday. Thats been sorta a dream of hers ever since we got married, but haven't really had the room anywhere we've lived...till now that is. If thats what the Lord wills, (or grants) then I would gladly accept the resposibility! If I ever had a choice I would rather have younger children...not as set in their ways yet. I've worked with teens & it can be difficult. Not that I'd refuse...just my preference, for Agee's sake also her health not being the absolute greatest. How bout ya'll helping me pray a little more over this since it's come up??!!

    I'm here preacher! [IMG]

    Good morning all,

It is nice and sunshiny here, but coolish. The next two days should be in the 50's though and I'm gonna be outside!

I have some baking to do today (we're out of cookies) and I'm going to 'volunteer' Grandpa to change a light switch, and the thermostat, to a location where I can reach them easily...

    Busy day,

I'm here to preacher but only for a bit. Today is the last day of basketball and the first game is at 10:30.

It's raining here today, so I think we'll do basketball, walmart, basketball and then come home and rest for the rest of the day.

    See ya this afternoon!

I'm dropping in to say hi! [IMG]
You know, virtual food has no calories I realized, so I will take a jelly doughnut after all. [IMG]

We got some more snow. Anyone want me to mail them some? It's half price today. (Normally $50 a square foot.)

Well, I better do some writing. Been putting it off since last night. [IMG]

After this I get to play on jerrys while he is gone, told him I'd get a bunch of junk off for him & clean up his registry. His is huge compared to the two we have so I may be till midnite on his!
