    Good morning all:

It's a cold 26 here and there have been snow flurries off and on since 2am. It was snowing hard when Vivian left this morning, but quit about an hour later. She said it tapered off the further North she went. So, we're hoping that's the end of it for a while.

Church attendance was way down yesterday. We usually run 45-50 people, and we only had 31. We had several of the SS teachers who weren't there and it was really disorganized. But, we made it through. [IMG]

Hope ya'll have a wonderful day.

    Good morning all,

I didn't get much sleep last night and I'm still feeling queasy.

I'll pass on the donuts and coffee this morning and have a nice cup of tea and some buttered crackers.

It is a cold 14ºF here this morning, but the sun is shining. It may get up to 32ºF, but I'm not counting on it.

I'm going to rest today and pray I feel better. I had arranged a couple of surprises for hubby tomorrow and I can't get out to pick them up if I'm sick.

    HAGD!

Good afternoon! The income tax papers are ready to mail to the accountant. WOOOHOOO!!!!

A friend from college came for a visit and we talked and talked and talked. It had been nearly 10 years since we had seen each other. She and her husband spent 2 years in Africa representing us through the International Mission Board (Is that what they call it now?)

Great time. She will return in a few weeks for another visit. Her husband is working here and she feels at loose ends because she doesn't have anything to do.

I didn't sleep well last night either and have not had time for a nap today.

    Talk to you later.

    Betty

Say, who is that young lady, masquerading as Lady Sue, one of the Moderator of this forum and the proprietor of the Common Ground Coffee House? It must be one of those body snatchers I tell you. [IMG]

So, Gina. you think the shovels are heavier nowadays? But I have a super light shovel Dear.... [IMG]

Linda, I like your definition of "The Battle Hymn of the Believer!" [IMG]

WOW Betty, that must have been a great fellowship with your friend. [IMG] I remember my first trip back to my native country after 25 years. Those little kids whom I left behind got married and had their own kids.... what a shock it was to me. I felt like a fish outside the pond. Oh, how I can identify with you when you said, "...and we talked and talked and talked. [IMG]

Well, good night all! And please someone find Lady Sue before the CGCH opens up in the morning..... [IMG]

Barnabas, that must be Sue's much younger sister in that picture! [IMG] Nice little dusting you down-staters got over the weekend. We got a measly foot on the Niagara Frontier. Nice to see snowmobiles in the church parking lot again. I'm afraid it looked like a church split inside. The Polaris folks were sitting on one side and the Ski-Doo folks were all on the other!

    Morning all:

Just enough time to stop in for a few minutes. I will probably be taking a few weeks hiatus, checking in when I can here. Vivian and I are resigning our positions in our church and searching for another body of believers to worship with. The doctrinal differences have become far too many and the faithfulness of the people has become far less than what it should be with no accountability. The pastor search has started and the applications being considered aren't quite what most would consider pastoral material. So, we feel the Lord is telling us to move on quietly. We'll miss the people, but a love for the people isn't reason enough to stay if the doctrine isn't sound.

Pray you all have a wonderful Valentines Day! [IMG]

    Good morning all,

Tony: Drop in when you can. Sorry to hear about the upheaval.

Well, folks, I put that new picture up because it was just taken this Christmas and the one I had up before was six years old. I didn't want to be deceptive! Methinks some of you liked the other picture better?

padre: Thank you, but I only have one sister and she is 75.

Barnabas: I'm beginning to think you don't like the 'real' me... :(

I suppose we could take a vote on it.

Should I leave my new picture up or replace it with the old one?

Today is my and Dale's anniversary and we had nice plans for tonight, but alas, I'm still down with the flu, so it's 7-UP and chicken noodle soup again for me tonight. The Prime Rib dinner will have to wait until this week-end.

Ah, so it is you after all Lady Sue! [IMG] Did I say that I don't like the "real you?" Hum, I have to re-read my post again. I think I need a lesson on communication.... But hey, my fellow poster, Bro. padredurand, understood what I wanted to convey with no second guessing. So, Lady Sue why don't you read the following post and put two and two together. [IMG] And while you are at it, I hope you will recover from your flu speedily! I did. [IMG]

    I was just teasing! [IMG]

And thank you Bros. padre and Barnabas for the nice compliments! [IMG]

I haven't eaten anything today, but am going to try some chicken noodle soup for lunch. I DID drink some 7-UP for breakfast and it is 'still with me'.

    HAGD all!

    Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

I bought myself a a pretty pink rose. :D It was kinda funny, people actually cheered when I bought it and they asked who it was for and I said it was for me. LOL I'm suprised more people don't do that. I wasn't trying to make a statement, they were pretty and I wanted one!

I wonder what that woman who married a dolphin is getting for a gift today. HA! A raw bloody tuna fish? YUM! Just like chocolate, only different, right?

Have a good day. I'm on here taking a break from writing about N*FTA. The next person to put something this complicated into action is gonna get HURT, by ME! I now declare that any new policies or agreements be one page only, consisting of a one paragraph introduction and a summary, followed by a numbered list of da rules, and that's IT! NOTHING ELSE! AGGGGHHHH!!!! AGGGGHHHH!!!! AGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!

    Ok that's better.

Flowers and candy for all people who do NOT work in the Foreign Agricultural Services department.

6 Dozen Doughnuts fresh from the grease!

    1 Dozen Cake
    2 Dozen Glazed
3 Dozen Assorted Powdered and Filled

    Napkins are on the counter.

    5 Carafe's Piping Hot Coffee
    2 Carafe's Hot Chocolate
1 Carafe Hot Water for Tea or Hot Apple Cider.
1 Package of Thera-Flu for Sue. I know it tastes horrible, but it does seem to help. (You can get rid of the taste with a coffee, tea, or hot chocolate chaser!)

    (all carafe's are appropriately labeled)

Folks---I'm gonna be the bearer of good news!!!

Spring is springing here in the Deep South!! I've got a Pear tree that is budding/blooming---and the Clover/Vetch is greening up real good!!

I've been working on my Garden Tractor---a International/Farmall Super A!! Giving it a tune-up---new spark plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, points and condenser and a new coil!! It'll be time to plant Sweet Corn in a few weeks----soon as it gets dry enough I'm gonna plow up my corn patch----soon as that happens the Sun will start warming up the soil. I'm gonna try to plant corn by March 1!!

How 'bout up north, Sue??? Can you see the ground yet or has the snow started melting???

    Thanks, Gayla.

blackbird: I can see the ground, but no green grass yet!

Hubby is going to buy a new lawnmower come spring. Ours is about 10 years old and we bought it used. It's time for a new one. Brent is going to be mowing this year and the old one is just too hard for him to start and keep running.

I want a 'mulcher' to chew up all those yucky sweet gum balls instead of our old one spewing them out as missiles...

We have to block off the street when we mow with the old one for fear someone will get hit in the head with a flying spike and sue us.

With all due respect for your personage and parsonage, dear Brother Blackbird, on behalf of all of us who have the letters NY in our mailing address..... Shut up!

There's nitrogen in that snow! Of course we won't get sweet corn 'til it's sweater weather again.

Evening All, Few days only lasted a couple which is fine with me. It's nice to know the Lord is still extra blessing this ole' country boy!! Went into work Mon. & they told us we had the week off...come back next Mon. I can't sign up cause of an ongoing dispute with the state employment agency over them saying they paid me too much on a check last year when I did draw for 2 weeks. I know they'll take it out of our state refund, but thats the only way they'll rob me.
Anyway got a call this afternoon from some Apts in Asheboro asking if we could clean a couple this week & if they like our work they'll use us regularly. We'll make more tomorrow than I would have drawn anyway! Thank You Lord!! My little Agee has spent all evening gettin' stuff together & forming a plan of attack. She's all excited about it. The property mngrs have 3 or 4 different complexes so it might be a good start & Asheboro is only 20 mi. up the road.
Thanks to ya'll that have said a prayer here & there for this!! Nice Valentines extra for Agee!
Now all I have to do is remember she's the President of the company & I'm...well...the rest of the staff!!
Be putting BH out shortly, I was late gettin' her this morning & she has slept ALL day, missed a beautiful 57 degree day. Supposed to be around 65 tomorrow.
Well ya all have a good nite & I'll be around sometime I reckon!
