    Yes, I heard! Canyabelieveit?!

Man, I stayed away from the theology forum for HOW LONG? Feels good to be back on there, but now it's like a foreign land. I don't know half these people! When did that happen? I used to be able to know who would say what, or understand exactly where they were taking something because I'd read all their other ones.

I say the BB closes down to new members for a year, the sheer size of it makes it cold and impersonal. :( I miss how it used to be.

I agree. Only the first 500 members can remain.

Get rid of the excess baggage and riff-raff . . [IMG] [IMG]

Actually, I think there were well under 500 when I first registered. I was first here as Gina Deng. When we had to re-register I changed it.

Tater, you don't know the half of it! I used to get all kinds of variations, to where sitting in the doctors office waiting to be called was always a time of dread, for here are just a few of the possible things I would hear.

Gina Ding? We're ready for you?

Ms. Dang? Is there a Ms. Dang here?

    Mrs...Dong? Is that how it's pronounced ma'am?

And do you think I corrected them? NOPE! Why not? Because the real pronunciation was even MORE embarassing! Dung. How do you tell someone "no, it's not ding, it's dung, as in the other word for poo."

Now the one that had the girls and I rolling on the floor was when I got a piece of mail addressed to "Mrs. Gina Bang-Bang".
Spelled exactly like that! We kept it for a very long time just to look at it and laugh.

Hey preacher, I do still love ya, and don't worry about it! I value your opinion, but don't feel like you have to, I know you've got a lot going on right now.

    Bang-Bang . . . . .
    you're dead :D ;)

    You're killin' me! [IMG] [IMG]

The kid is just FULL of good points, huh?

We have a "Driving Toy" in the van, and one of the kids is usually back seat driving. A couple weeks ago on the way to church, Wesley was "driving" and noticed some dirty spots on the toy.
Then he said, "Rachel, I like the dirty spots on my car 'cause it makes it look decorated."

    Kids, ya gotta love'em!!!

    Good morning all,

It was a short night full of restless thoughts, but today is a new day. I just wish it didn't have to start out with the funeral of a dear friend (yes at a Catholic church). I wouldn't do me much good to go to a Baptist church when the body is at the Catholic church; now would it?

I had planned on going to visitation instead of the funeral, but I didn't receive the times until about 30 minutes before it started and with all the bad news I received yesterday, I just wasn't up to it.

I was raised Catholic and sang at all the funerals for years, so it's no 'biggie'. I'm not gonna see or hear anything that I haven't already seen and heard hundreds of times. It will be a new experience for Brent though...

I need a cup of coffee so I went ahead and made enough for everyone. I didn't stop and pick up donuts though. I'm a little 'off my feed'.

    CYAL,
§ue (almost dreading for the phone to ring again...)

    Good Morning Everyone!

I've refreshed the coffee, put out some fresh from Florida strawberries, oranges and grapefruits(sugar and sweetner are on the counter) and put out some powdered sugar donuts and some Little Debbies (all different varieties). The kettle is hot if you want tea or hot chocolate.

Sue, I'm still praying for you.

Tony, were you up late or early? You time sig says 3:48!

Okay, having drunk an entire pot of coffee in effort to ward off an increasing bad mood, I've decided to go work it off instead. See ya later!

A year ago I went to a Russian Orthodox funeral. I am "sensitive" to odors and as I grow older, this issue is more pronounced.

So I about gagged and hacked and finally had to leave. Thankfully everyone stands in the service to I could walk out easily. Just had to wait for a time when all when down to kiss the cement to I could walk through an area unseen!

Love the icons, language and ritual. But incense is not my friend.

Oh, GOOD MORNING ALL. Forgot my manners.

My Mother-in-Law came thru her surgery just fine. The Surgeon removed several polyps. Now we wait for the Pathology reports to come back(in about a week).
The Surgeon told us that, from what he saw, the polyps weren't malignant, but he wants the Pathologist to examine them just in case.
Thanks for all the prayers, and encouragement.

    Rob
