Or any other time! I love scones. They are my favorite treat. Especially with a steaming pot of tea.

Gwen...so chocolate didn't bother Chipper? I've always heard don't give choc. to dogs or cats & just didn't want to take a chance that it may bother squirrels. If it don't then I can really get BH caffined out!!
Since I'm starting nites tomorrow Agee said she wants to let Sam in at nite with her, so guess who I gotta run outta bed later?!! She didn't know what was going on being let back in the house & getting to lay on the couch with Agee to watch TV. When it's daylight she don't want to stay in long, but she wasn't whining so I guess it's ok with her after dark. She does watch over Agee though so I won't feel as bad with her being here alone at night. Just hope BH don't get mad cause Sam was laying on her blanket!!
Gonna try to stay up most of the nite so I may be in & out to check on things!!

Oh man, this board is WAY too much fun!
It's definitely Spring...I'm more off my rocker than I abnormally am.

You guys have a good night, and a good morning. I'll be zipping around doing nothing, or a bunch of stuff. Depends.

    Yes, I'm still confused! ;)

Preacher, you got a job! That's great! Don't hurt yourself. [IMG]

    Mornin Mam'
Off your rocker...if it had cotton on it , then its BH's rocker!!

Better to be Confused than Abused I say!!
Yeah got a job for the time being. Went & talked this, er, yesterday morning with the Pastor over at the 1st Baptist again. He said they were having their "commity metting next Wed. night & then the Deacons have to have their input Thurs. nite. I either blew it totaly, or got it definitly, cause when he mentioned Deacons I said they ought to be doing the cleaning anyway, before I even realized it came outta my mouth! But the Pastor laughed & said I musta really spent some time in Baptist Churches!! He don't know how true that is!!!!

    Good morning all,

Well, preacher, I made a big mistake saying it only took two days to spring clean my kitchen. Today is the third day and I still have a ways to go...

It is supposed to be 56 today and partly cloudy. Looks like it will be in the fifties the rest of the week with 'showers' off and on.

The tree service came by yesterday and removed the two broken sections of fence. I'm hoping they can bring the two new sections by today and fix it. It really looks funny with gaping holes out front!

    Time for coffee,

Definitely don't feed a lot! I don't think squirrels are able to metabolise theobromine very well, but probably a few chocolate chips wouldn't hurt on occasion.

I was hoping chocolate would trouble the squirrels. I left a couple of chocs up in my attic. Guess I won't have to drag their bodies out afterall...............dang pests!

    Cheers,

[IMG] Jim, you scalawag! You just brought them in for a chocolate feast!

Chocolate never seemed to bother Chipper. She didn't get very much of it tho, with all the kids in the house to eat up all the treats! She especially liked the kind with pecans. [IMG] We did give her M&M's occasionally. She would peel them like nuts! Really funny.

Hop everyone has a good day. I'm off to Wal-Mart to do a little shopping!

    I'm waiting for pizzas!

Ron is bringing them so we can have our Algebra 1 team celebration today.

We had the best chapel this morning. The seniors go on a mission trip to Costa Rica over spring break and they shared what they learned and did and who they worked with. Whenever the older students who have been through my class share, it's always a motivator. They grow so much between 8th & 12th grades -- spiritually, mentally, physically. It reminds me I've been sowing . . .

It's ok,,I have those Hav-a-heart traps set for them now, and then I will take them touring..maybe even down by the riverside. Every time I read squirrel, I hear the cash register clang in my expenses for damage. If this doesn't work, the shotgun is next in order..anyone know a gun for hire?

    Cheers,

    Jim

I thought about using rat poison, but thought they might die outdoors and then some innocent pet might get hold of it.

So, I decided to try traps to catch the rodents and take them far off. As I said, $2000.00 in damage later, I am at the last string, and if a shotgun is needed, I have someone to do the shooting.

They are pesky rodents and need to be treated the same as rats and mice.

    Cheers,

    Jim

Yeah, Agee was thinking if you had tried & it hadn't worked to get a liquid kind & mix, but I'll tell her.
Thats how I wound up with BH was from someones attic, but onec the babies were removed they had no more problems there. Wish it was that simple for you! Hope it don't take a lot of shells!!

My fence is fixed! It looks so nice.

I am going to the recliner. I had a lot of things I wanted to get done today, but my ankles are swollen so much I can hardly walk. I took a water pill today and they STILL swelled up bad!!!

Could that be a sign of high blood pressure? I know it was high the last time I went to the doctor, but it may be getting worse...

    I will drop in later.

Could be...also could be your're just on yer feet too much!!!
I'll be om mine for 10 hrs starting tonite, so I'm sure they'll be complainin' when I get home in the morning.
Agee may have to leave Sam outside after all, it was bothering her allergies havin her in all nite again. I was really hoping it wouldn't. We can't just let her roam the house...she's too "curious" about stuff. She's just now gotten to where she leaves stuff alone in the building.
This seems to be a pretty quiet neighborhood, but in these days you can never be too cautious. But I haven't been able to find anything on dayshift & I gotta work.Mabey it won't be for too long.
One good thing bout this job I'll have three day weekends,& with the crappie moving up I'll have more time to fill up the freezer!!!

I'll sell you a dog you could train to get the squirrels. Caught the little bugger on my couch again...she only does this when I'm not home because she knows better! Little stinker...it is kinda funny though. She drags a posturpedic pillow from the bedroom up there with her and lays her head on it. LOL

I'm all wide awake, even after having gone out. (that's unusual) Went and got my books for next quarter, which starts Monday. I got my grades for that final that I was flipping out about and I did just fine, so that was good news!

Ok, who has home-made cookies? :D

Went & mowed some of the yard & Agee said it scared the hoot out of BH..course it is a loud mower!! I came in & she was on Agee's shoulder hiding under her hair!!
Gotta get ready for work, sound kinda strange after not doing it for 3 weeks, may lay down for an hour so I guess I'll see yuns in the mornin around 7 or so. I'll remind Agee to let BH loose, if she don't forget!! Her memory's bout as long as her legs!!

    Hi!

Came to check on y'all and see what's going on. I am so far behind here but man is my house clean. Spring cleaning everybody's house! Still have windows to do here then go do our mom's house. I have an old ball and claw tub to clean up to sell and my aquarium. For now I am petless and it sure is hard. My blind Siamese mix had to be put down, and I miss him. Scarlett needed one like him for the Pit Stop. He was a dog whippin' machine.

    Sue,

Please go get checked for high blood pressure right away! That isn't something to mess with and can be controlled.

Anyway I heard the word cookies and came running, I thought you had made some Gina. I pictured me sitting on a fluffy couch and you bringing me a plate with milk. In my dreams! [IMG]

I made some Oatmeal Walnut cookies they were so good I made more. DH is sick with the flu and coughed all night last night, poor guy. He didn't even eat any cookies, you know that can't be a good sign for a goodie eater.
