I would pontificate about how bad procrastinaters are, but I think I'll do that a little later.

I didnt do a thing for school over Spring Break, and today I had so many little things to do! But delegating is one of my spiritual gifts!! :D One student filed, one student copied, some straightened up, etc. Now I need some strong boys to bring me in a couch.... [IMG]

FIRST DAY OF SPRING,....& I agree with AV...My Foot!! It's supposed to be bout 45 for the high here today. But, oh well, keeps me from the yard stuff!!
Went & did my paperwork & drug test & all the goodies to be told they don't have anything at present. Check back this afternoon!! Thats the way the cookie crumbles huh...
I might go outside anyway & crush some cans & work on tearing them old mowers apart. Beats working in hot weather.Sides Sam helps me by bringing cans I missed!!

We crush cans too. Preacher; how much a pound are you getting right now?

We are in for a winter storm tonight and tomorrow. They are really getting it in Nebraska and it's headed our way.

Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait a little longer to start making sun tea...

You wanna talk about procrastination...I went to bed. LOL I finished it this morning. Turned it in at 9:30. Whoo-hoo! We take the mid-term Wednesday, and then I'm DONE with that class! YAY!

I finished with another class this morning, I just have to show up and pick up my portfolio Friday, so that means I don't have to go in today at all so I'm home. Got laundry in the washing machine, and then I'm going to tackle my bedroom, which is somewhere near this computer. I think. I see a bit of a bed, so it must be here SOMEWHERE!

Sue, did you pinch that adorable new grand baby for me? If not, make sure you do! Just a tiny little baby pinch, on da baby cheek.

Man, for all the newborns I've told people to pinch online, I'm probably going to have a whole gang of kids across America coming up to me in about 18 years for revenge. AGH!

I haven't held a newborn in so long. Enjoy him Sue!

I didn't pinch him, Gina, although I could have since he was born on St. Patrick's Day and was NOT wearing green...

My 'thing' is giving them a kiss on the back of the neck. [IMG]

Please pray for little Jace. He is jaundiced and has to have blood drawn every morning until his 'count' comes down. Mommy also was told to stop nursing him because of it. :(

I wondered if I should change my name to "I Am Blessed 17", but since my grandchildren are starting to marry and if they are as prolific as their parents, I might have to change it every year!

Sue...How about "I Am Blessed Exceedingly"!!
Rite now we get about 35-40 cents a pound, depends on the market, & if they're already crushed. I recycle a lot of different stuff in the summer...mainly air conditioners.
Will be praying for Jace & be back in later hopefully.

    Poor baby!
My youngest, Anna, was jaundiced, but I disobeyed the doctor's order and nursed her anyhow. I think there is a possibility of breastfeeding caused it, but it's extremely rare. I also didn't let them draw her blood. Or put her in a light thingy, because it wasn't that bad. I took her home, nursed her, and put her in the sunlight!
Not offering advice, seriously, just sharing. Every family is different! But, maybe she can discuss the possibilities and alternatives. Some doctors are too busy to sit down and really offer alternatives, or it doesn't occur to them unless it's asked about.
Extra picky mom here though...I tend to go to extremes. I even fought them on the vitamin K shot and the blood draw for whatever that is they prick their foot for in the hospital.

Gina, congrats! I'm so glad you're almost done with classes....sooooo glad.....things were getting a little nervewracking!!! [IMG] [IMG]
Sue, will pray for Jace. My son was also jaundiced. I put him in indirect sunlight and carried on as usual. But that was a long time ago and medicine changes.

It's cold here too, but that makes sense, since we are neighbors preacher!

We had several bouts of sleet today. Kids went nuts when the principal came in and said it had snowed earlier. I thought I was so clever keeping the blinds down. With her announcement, they almost got ripped off the windows!

    Good morning all:

Sue, will be praying for the great grandson.

We have about 100 lbs of cans in the garage that need to be crushed. Then they should all fit into two bags. We don't like to take them in until we have about 200 or so lbs at a time. Back in the 80's when cans were going for 68 cents a pound, and I was out with the meniere's disease (we didn't know what was going on then) I would walk up and down the highway as often as I could and pick up cans from off the side of the road. Viv and I would go through dumpsters, trash cans, etc, and even had friends who would save their cans who would normally throw them away. I made about $500 a week then.

It's supposed to be rainy and in the low 40's here today. The creek down the road here was nearly flooded again, but I think Viv got over it just in time, thank the Lord.

Well, I need to try and get some sleep. I've been up off and on since last night when we went to bed.

    Ya'll have a great day.

    Bro. T

    Good morning all,

Tony, we crush our cans here too and put them in a large barrel (in the utility shed) with a large black lawn & leaf bag in it. We cash them in when we get 2-3 bags. Brent does all the crushing so the money goes into his savings account.

It is 30º here, with an expected high of 32º, and we still have a blizzard warning out until 4:00 this afternoon.

The snow has covered the streets, lawns, sidewalks, and cars and it is still snowing. We may get another 5 inches today.

The wind is blowing at 30mph which makes visability very poor.

We need the moisture, but I had flowers coming up!!!

I am coming down with another cold so I went to bed at 8:00 last night and read. It didn't take me long to fall asleep...

Preacher, I fired up the pot-bellied stove when I got here and moved BH's rocker closer to the heat.

    Time for coffee,
    §ue

Viv called at 7:45 am and said that not a whole lot was going on at work. For some odd reason, some people haven't shown up for two days now. They have closed down some lines, but I'm not sure if hers is one of them. She's hoping that she can stay all day. Me, too. We need the money right now.

It's not raining right now, but the clouds are building up again, and the wind is blowing pretty hard at times. I was going to try to go out into the garage and start moving things around, but, I don't think that would be prudent without Vivian here.
