Just stopping in to say good night. I am feeling a little better, but I sure didn't get much done today and I couldn't sleep when I went back to bed, so maybe I will sleep tonight. I'm eating very little (which certainly won't hurt me).

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Good morning, everyone!

Sue, I sure hope you're feeling better. The stomach thing is going around here, too.

Gonna be another beautiful day here. Sunny and very warm. We are gonna work in the yard again and try to get the wall for the new flower bed finished today and tomorrow. We probably won't finish, but we'll give it a try.

    HAGD!

    Good morning,

I haven't been up long, but I think I'm feeling better!

I have a lot of work to do before this week-end.

    Time to get busy,

    Afternoon, all:

It's 80+ here with a heat index of 85! Wooohooo!

Vivian goes back for the results to her bloodwork today. She'll find out whether or not she's diabetic. Personally, I don't think she is, but, the doctor seems to think otherwise. She's sort of nervous and upset about it. But, she knows if she is, it isn't the end of life! [IMG]

Tomorrow morning, I go in for a medial nerve branch section on my spine. They will nearly sever several of the nerves in my spine, and that is supposed to alleviate the pain in my back and legs. The doctor said it is a one in ten chance, but I have to take it. It's the only option left since traditional surgery can't be done. The only other option after this is to stay medicated to control the pain. I go in at 7 AM. Doctor also said it may do some other damage (collateral) and may affect some of my other "life's functions". Wow! What an OPTOMIST he is! But, God is the great Physician, and he's the one in control.

Hope ya'll are having a great day and that it's sunny where you are!

    God bless.

It's finally sun-shining out there instead of raining. [IMG]

The flowers and trees are blossoming and blooming and it's very prettiful.

Other than that, it's just another ordinary day!

Brent enjoyed today because he's out of school for 4 days...

It was in the 80's here today. I had hubby put the window A/C in my bedroom. We don't run the central air unless we have to and I'm the only one who has hot flashes, soooooooo.

Michelle, Cassie, Brent and I colored Easter eggs today and baked our Easter cookies. I will make my salads Saturday and be all set for Sunday dinner!

I'm going to watch a movie with Brent until bedtime.

    Pleasant dreams all!

Good morning! We are out four days here too. I'm fixing a closet door and just took about an inch of skin off a finger when a screwdriver slipped. OUCH! Although that's probably not understandable with the finger still in my mouth :D

Ouch! I've done that, Bitsy. It hurts!!!

Brent and I made 10# of potato salad today, pink jello salad, deviled eggs and dirty pickles. All I have to do Sunday is warm up the ham and baked beans.

My feet and back hurt sooo bad. My oldest daughter, Laura, bought me a foot massager for Christmas. I've not used it yet, but I'm gonna fill it with water and use it tonight!

We are about ready to eat supper and then it is 'movie night' for our family. Presently, we are watching the "Five Mile Creek" series. We're on Vol. 14. Then it will be bedtime.

If I don't fall asleep, I will check back in tonight.

    Have a good evening all,

    Good morning all,

Gayla, I could have fallen asleep with my feet in the foot tub! I may have to start using that every night. It should help the circulation problem too.

It is 57º this morning, heading for a sunny 80º day with severe, isolated thunderstorms this afternoon.

We had a tornado touch down in Lincoln early yesterday morning. There was damage on the east side (we live on the west side) but no injuries. 6,000 homes are still without power this morning.

We did the cooking for Sunday yesterday. Today I am hoping we can get some yardwork done. The flowers and bushes are coming up nicely in the yard. I LOVE Spring!

    Good Morning Everyone!

I thought I had talked everyone out of going to the Easter Egg hunt today but Bits had other ideas. I opened my eyes up to see her giving me the pitiful look and queitly asking if we still couldn't go. What's a mother to do?  [IMG] So I loaded up 4 kids and off we went. I did put my foot down about driving all the way to the church (10 minutes from the house), just so she could ride the church bus to the farm(5 minutes from the house in the oppisite direction).

Now they are getting ready to swim. The doorbell just rang so the last kid is here. I better go stupervise.

    Ya'll have a nice day!

    Evening folks,

We worked out in the yard today and my daughter, from IN, stopped to visit for awhile on her way back home.

The 'boys' are in Bloomington, attending an Arena Football game, that hubby won tickets for at work, so I've had the whole evening to myself.

I made up a bunch of Easter baskets and put some finishing touches on my meal for dinner tomorrow.

I'm ready for a shower and bed...

    Pleasant dreams all!

    Morning all:

Friday was a nightmare! They couldn't do what they were going to do because of the inflammation in the back. So, they did a nerve block instead. I had between 4 and 6 injections into my spine and nerves in my back. It wasn't pleasant. But, I made it through it. I slept most of the day Friday, and I slept part of the day Saturday. Sunday morning was still a bad tiem. But, Sunday night, we got to go and visiti the Victory Independent Baptist Church in Shelbyville, and we enjoyed it immensely. We're hoping to go back on Wednesday.

Anyhow, I get to do it all again this coming Friday. Surgery is no longer an option. But, the nerve blocks are for several more weeks. In three weeks, if they are working, they will cut the nerves to my legs and lower back to try and end the pain.

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter. Well, the meds are kicking in again, so, I must needs go to bed.

    God bless.

    Bro. t

Tony, they're not going to cut the sciatic nerve are they? That would leave you with a 'dead' leg and foot. I know because that's what they did to my youngest daughter...

    Good morning all,

We had a great time yesterday (even if the Easter egg hunt DID have to be held in the rain)! The eggs were hidden in bright sunshine and the minute the kids stepped out the back door to find them, it started pouring down rain. The kids were soaked, but they had fun. It stopped raining about 20 minutes later and the sun came back out.

It is 52º right now, heading for a high of 67º with partly cloudy skies. No rain forecast for today.

    Time for coffee,

Sue, I'm hoping they're not going to do that. It's not something I plan on allowing them to do.

I was told by our former pastor at Faith Community that the church had dissolved a few weeks back. He went back to the church that Faith split from. I hated to see that, especially since the church we split from was unsound scripturally. But, whatever floats his boat. I wish him well. All I can do is pray for him.

It's 85 here right now with a heat index of 89. The barometric pressure is 29.66. Tomorrow evening is supposed to be a night of some storms...I hope not as bad as last weeks!

    I'm glad of that, Tony!

    Afternoon all,

We are working in the yard. It's a pleasant day for that. The sun is shining and it's not too hot.

Hubby is off today so I'm taking advantage of that to get some things done outside that I'm not able to do.

Break time is over, back to work...
