Once again, almost time for bed. YAY!

Took the girls out today for as long as I could stand it. We went to Baskin Robbins...TWICE! The first time for cones, then decided that since we're not up that way too often, we should go back and get stuff to take home. We each picked a different flavor, so we ended up with four quarts. :praise: AMEN!

I also took them for Chinese. After they had the ice cream cones. LOL I was nauseous so didn't get to take advantage of much of the buffet, but it was nice to be out of the house and having lunch out. I'd been promising them that for a while!

We also went to the Christian bookstore and got the latest Veggie Tales CD, and I got a couple books and we got a CD for all of us that we used to have and enjoyed, but it got too scratched to play anymore.

It's been nice to go out and do some stuff with and for the girls. They're so great. I'm glad they're MY kids! Makes me wanna tattoo it on their faces. Yes, these are MY kids!

Ok, time to get MY kids to bed so I can mop the floor. They cleaned all the floors (except my bedroom, which isn't to be touched because it's MINE!) for me so I could this tonight. See? Told you they were great! :applause:

Well, it's 2:30 (here) & I'm almost ready for bed. After I picked up Agee today I did a brave thing....I gave BH a bath. A first for both of us. She was a little jittery, but allowed me the honor. Even let me put the neosporen on, then she could take it no longer, chomped down on a knuckle (no blood...thats how she says it's time to rumble) & the fight was on! I didn't notice any signs of infection today so mabey it's cleared up. At least I figure she'a doing ok when she wants to play.
Got most of the A/C's finished up, just gotta pile up the scrap metal to haul off next week. Now I got room for more!!! I save the compressors till I usually have about 20 or so then cut them up.
Well...have to get up in 3 hours to take Agee to work, so I'll check back sometime today. I kinda hate to tell BH that things are stayin smooth in here, she may think she ain't needed!!

Gib you can have some chocolate milk or some sun tea!

    Good morning all,

Well, my walk yesterday morning took me 18 minutes just to walk around the block!!! Last night was a little better - I made it in 11 minutes. It's raining this morning and rain is forecast for every day this week, so I guess I'll have to stay inside and ride my exercise bicycle twice a day.

I even cut down some small saplings yesterday afternoon and pulled some weeds. It wore me out, but it sure felt good to be doing something useful again!

Time for shower, breakfast and church.

    HAGD!

    Afternoon gang,
MC, did you go to Atlanta for the game, if so I was wondering how long a drive it is.
I am SORE!! This body ain't used to all the bending & stoopin' I did yesterday. Makes me think I'm gettin back outta shape or sumpin'! Or have I been back in shape....can't remember...Anyway...it hurts to move too much, too bad my couchpotato days are over!!
It's been nice again here today, not too hot & low humidity. Even Agee can enjoy being outside on days like this, long as no one close by is mowing.
Well BH is pacin the cage, guess I'll go let her out for awhile....Mabey she can go back to work tonite. Enjoy the Day!!

    Blessed Lord's Day everyone!

We all are having a pretty good one here, in spite of the fact that it is raining and we have two sickly kids.

I left 'em all behind this morning and took myself to church to hear the fellow that gonna be our new preacher. Good thing I left the kids behind, cause it was like Easter Sunday. They had to pull out the folding chairs before everyone got seated. This preacher is fantastic and not at all the kind of preacher we were expecting. I believe God can use this man to bring some unity back to our church that has been sorely lacking here lately. Evidently, everyone else in the church agreed with me because the vote to call him was unanimous!

It's cool when the Lord walks amongst us!

Now, my little wallpaper project has expanded to deconstructing a doorway and facing it in instead. I've gotten bad about removing doors that I don't like the placement of. This one is the third! T is waiting on my to go look for new trim, so I'm outta here for a while.

Ya'll have yourselves a good day!

MK! How exciting about your new preacher! I hope your youngins are better tomorrow.

Preacher -- I'm not exactly sure. Seems like it was about 6 hours of driving time. We piddled on the way down -- shopped, ate, took in the sites.

This afternoon, I cleaned out the storage closet. Now I'm wondering if I can get all I cleaned out into the Envoy to go to Goodwill in 1 trip :tongue3: I'll be joining Preacher in the sore department tomorrow.

Tonight, we are takin my mama out for dinner for her 74th birthday which is tomorrow.

Why not Freecycle it first, then you may not have as much to haul off, sides then I could see if ya got any junk...er ..I mean good stuff I could use!!!
Agee brought a fan home from work that had quit & they were going to throw away. She spent about 10 min. on it & it works like new! I'm gonna try to put one of the blower type fans I took off an A/C in the building so Sam can have a fan. Now all we need is one more window unit to put in her sewing room & we're set.
Gonna try to catch up with our landlord tomorrow, heard that he needs a maintenance man & gonna see if I can work a deal for rent since I'll have the paper route anyway.
Well time to give BH a carrot & some celery, so I shall return!!

Gee, was it somthing I said?? While I'm here guess I'll get rid of some cobwebs. BH is doing good enough to return to duty, she's been a very patient patient this evening.
Go to turn in my scrap in the morning to see how much booty I can collect.
Had one of those little surprise blessings the Lord is so good at. Since we've moved to this house Agee has kept meaning to put up the hummingbird feeders. But the time we've been here I've never seen any around anywhere & we do have a few flowers around. I was piddling in the back yard & she made a comment about the feeders to which I said I hadn't seen a single hummer at any time. I came walking back around to the back door, & there in some of the odd looking flowers under BH's window was a hummingbird. So Agee whiped out & cleaned the feeders & I promptly hung them . Just goes to show ya. The last trailer we lived in we had all kinds of'em & weren't scared of us at all. They would come up & buzz around us on the frontporch & I've missed that.
Don't know how much longer I'll be up, so goodnite to all just in case!!

You two sound like you work as one well oiled machine!

And no, not anything you said. It's...Sunday! We all were...well, ok, not at church.

Least not our family. Kid kept me up all night feeling icky, she's better now though.

I just went and picked weeds and am breaking out in hives. I'm not sure what did it, don't know that I touched anything I haven't touched before! Guess I'll figure it out the next time I touch it and it happens!

Ok, someone put a wedding veil on my stuffed cow. (yes I have stuffed animals) Sitting here looking at it...that is kinda cute. LOL And there's my tiny ceramic chicken next to it. Someone must have pretended the chicken and cow got married. Maybe if I wait long enough I'll get to see what the babies look like!

Ha Gina -- I've used chickens and cows for exponents and coefficients. Wonder if I can work the wedding thing in :tongue3:

Preacher -- I just wanted the stuff out of the house. We may have company again about Wednesday. Most of it was perfectly fine. We just put it in the storage room 13 years ago and it was still there!

I'm to take my mother to the doctor today. She was supposed to go last week when Ron and I were gone, but she decided to wait so I could take her instead. I've been wondering if the agenda was longer . . .

Coffee (and tea) are made and hot! Grabya a cup and enjoy.

    Good morning all,

The rain missed us yesterday and today but we are supposed to have 2 inches tomorrow and it is going to rain every day the rest of the week.

The city is supposed to sow grass seed this morning between the new sidewalk and the street. It would be a good day because the rain tomorrow will help it settle in before the birds eat it...

I think this is going to be a lazy day for me. I kind of overdid it Saturday and Sunday and I am tired!

I have some things to catch up on with the computer, so that will be my 'job' for today.

    Thanks for making coffee, Bitsy!

    Good Morning Everyone!

Sue, your day and mine are going to be just the opposite. Since we lazed around most of the weekend and didn't accomplish much, I've got to get busy!

First on the agenda is to call the mechanic and find out how much the broken axle seal we found on T's truck is going to cost us to get fixed. Maybe, just maybe, when this gets fixed his truck will be okay for a while. I really can't complain, cause it has 165,000 miles on it and we've never even changed out the brake shoes until right now. We were doing the back brakes when discovered the broken seal. Explained quite well why his ABS light kept coming on at odd times.

When I get that set up, it back to the bathroom to finish cleaning up those walls and filling in holes. I hope that that will NOT be an all day job. If it's not and I still have some energy left I'm going to strip the doors and molding in there. Decided that in the long run, getting all those thick layers of paint off the trim would be preferable to just sanding it (because it's thick glossy paint) and adding another layer.

That should make a day of it. I certainly will be glad to get this bathroom done. This job was not supposed to be quite this much work!

Gotta go get T's work clothes together. See ya!

Good morning! Rain is proposed for to-day, but it doesn't matter. I can work in my shop and listen to the rain. My fruit trees and vegetable garden can use the rain.

I took some diet banana cake into village for a youngser who is diabetic and doesn't get many goodies. When I got back, one dog had helped herself to the banana cake on the counter. So, I didn't get any. It did make me decide to build more shelving, a winter project, so such things can be put higher.

I laughed when I read a post on another thread about someone who "piddled" along the way whilst driving home. Well, "piddled" to my mind was going to the loo along the way. Then I realized what was actually meant by "piddled".

That's how some things strike us older folks by times.

    Cheers,

    Jim
