Community Easter Events

We used to have a Community Sunrise Service where all Christians, regardless of denomination, would come to celebrate to worship. Unfortunately, this no longer happens - which is too bad.

In central Texas they are having a community service on Palm Sunday evening with music being led by Israel Houghton and the preaching by Dr. Tony Evans, with a 900 voice mass choir. See attached -- http://www.thegatheringwaco.com/about/.

Does your community do anything like this and if so, do you normally attend?

 

Interesting article on the Palm Sunday service in Texas - about 35,000 people attended this. See the article in the Baptist Standard. I've spoken with two people who went and they said it was amazing.
