That is what liberals do. Erase the past they don't like.

Gallery of the stained glass windows is still up at the artiste's website:

    Don Young Glass Studio

scroll down to see the many windows, including ones of Dorothy herself, her husband Paige Patterson, Conservative strategist Judge Paul Pressler, Jerry Falwell, etc.

In this case I think Calvinists, not liberals are responsible. Seems SW is swing that way fast in the post Patterson era.

In an April 11 email to The Alabama Baptist, SWBTS spokesperson Colby Adams confirmed what had been circulating on social media for several days: “The stained glass windows have been removed from MacGorman Chapel"

"The windows featured Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) leaders who figured prominently in the denomination’s conservative resurgence movement, including former SWBTS president Paige Patterson; Paul Pressler, considered one of the architects of the conservative resurgence; and several past presidents of the SBC...including Charles Stanley, W.A. Criswell, Adrian Rogers, Bailey Smith, Jerry Vines and Edwin Young"

"No reason for the removal of the windows was provided."

"A letter dated April 3 sent to 'ministry partners' and signed by Kevin Ueckert, chairman of the SWBTS board of trustees" said just that the removal was "in the best interest of the institution" and was the result of "much prayerful consideration and discussion."

"The first of several stained glass windows were installed in the chapel in 2013, according to an article in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram....the windows were the dream of Patterson’s wife Dorothy"... The windows depicted "those who played a major role in turning the convention back to a high view of Scripture."

Poof, he's gone! (Paul Pressler window)

Rather than discarding, why not place them strategically as well as other artifacts of the school into a historical room complete with audio and visual presentations demonstrating the voices, or something else of interest that would encourage through testimony the decision making of students?

I have no tolerance for the disregard for the time, money, planning, & execution for these windows which had given life to history. This is like the recent rush to remove historic monuments to placate the intolerant rewriters of our country’s history.

Burying history is not the way to bring our children’s education into the future, it is a way of brainwashing them. Despicable to see this behavior in a Baptist Christian organization. Going down. Fast. How low can they go? Incredibly sad that some here view this as progress.

If the history of the SBC is changing, as is obvious, why not continue with windows to reflect what is current instead of the wanton destruction seen here.

This further demonstrates to me an intolerant move to the left that Baptists are allowing right before our eyes.

Yep this is what liberals like to do erase history. I also knew they would put a calvie in charge at SW. It is why they wanted to remove Patterson in the first place. Now the new pres over there is bringing in a bunch of people to be on staff from guess where?

The windows also had figures of men who were not part of the cr. I dont think this is about the cr. Still a mistake.

I think the removal of all the windows was just an easy reaction. It was Dorthy Patterson's pet project anyway, and nobody else I think was really a big fan of it. Then after you basically have three of the people depicted in the windows accused of some kind of misconduct. It is just the easiest thing to say just remove them all.
