    Do you ever ask yourself, “What has anybody ever done for me?”

    In a day when the world the flesh, and the devil are out to get you it is easy to get beat. When “Christianity” is out to rob you of your position in Christ one must remember what God has done for him or her. Look at the following verses in Ephesians 1 & 2. I have pulled out just the past tense phrases only of all the things that God has already done – what is being shown here are past tense things – these things are forever settled in heaven in Christ right now and are not conditional.

    For those of you who have doubts and get beat wondering if you can hang on, for those who think they have to endure, for those who are concerned that God just hasn’t seem to have done anything in your life lately then it is time to get freshened up a bit and…

    Consider how great things God hath done for you

    For your spiritual edification Please - note the past tense words.

    Eph. 1:3 - who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
    Eph 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him
    Eph 1:5 Having predestinated us
    Eph 1:6 he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
    Eph 1:8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
    Eph 1:9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will,
    Eph 1:11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance,
    Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted…ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
    Eph 1:18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
    Eph 1:22 And hath put all things under his feet,
    Eph 2:1 And you hath he quickened,
    Eph 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
    Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved
    Eph 2:15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity,
    Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

    These are just the past tense words in two chapters – imagine all that God has already done and yet we still get so easily defeated and discouraged!

    Dispensational note for that are interested:

    Israel’s blessings are physical and material and are conditional blessings. In other words, “if” you “do” you get (material – land, earth, crops, rain, wealth, etc.).

    Our blessings are all spiritual and are conditioned on nothing from us – no “if’s”!
    Yes, God has already blessed – our blessings are spiritual and heavenly. If that is the case then why do we spend so much time “down here” worrying about “down here”. Paul tells us what to do:

    Col 3:1 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
    Col 3:2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
    Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
    Col 3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

    Have a blessed day, brethren!
