A new book, by John Piper, free to download at Crossway Books.

Enjoy and feel free to pass this along to your friends.

I enjoy Dr. Piper's writings. His book, Desiring God, was a blessing along my path.

COVID = Christ Overcomes Viruses Infections Death

Why did God create such a harsh environment? To facilitate the fallen to seek God as a refuge!

    Psalms 11:1
    Psalms 18:2
    Hebrews 6:18

Note: Covid acronym lifted from an unknown (by me) Pastor in Southern California.

Crisis causes some to Seek God. Crisis causes some to hate God. Crisis creates no spiritual response in some.

    Scripture please :)

    Proverbs 1:27
When your dread comes like a storm
And your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
When distress and anguish come upon you.

    Proverbs 1:28
    “Then they will call on me, but I will not answer;
They will seek me diligently but they will not find me,

Revelation. Some come to God. Some curse God. Some do neither.

If you look, you will observe all 3 reactions in this crisis.

Beyond scripture, we have the wisdom of men:
There are no atheists in a foxhole
There are no atheists at the bedside of a dying child

The folks in Revelation 16:11-21 seem to have "hardened hearts" but prior to the hardening (either by God or by habitual sin) they might have sought God as a refuge.
    If you say so. :)

As we see in Revelation, the harshness does not drive all to Him. It causes many to Curse Him.

You did not mention being hardened. Your denial of the obvious, our harsh environment facilitates seeking God as a refuge, even though I have supported that premise with specific verses.

Why did God create such a harsh environment? To facilitate the fallen to seek God as a refuge!

    Psalms 11:1
    Psalms 18:2
    Hebrews 6:18

You are rambling on with a double standard approach to this. Text is plain. You cant have it both ways People respond differently to trials and tribulations.

Now comes the ad hominems, "rambling on" while I provide scripture.
I am charged with a "double standard"
Note, my premise from scripture, has not been challenged.
Have you seen a verse that says "crisis" causes people to hate God? Or people whose heart is hardened to still not repent?

Your premise as originally stated has been refuted. Now you are "rambling on" and moving the goal posts

Utterly false and misleading. You are deflecting to hide the fact God created our harsh environment to facilitate the fallen to seek God.

No. I am simply telling you people respond differently. It rains on the just and the unjust. God is not killing kids for the purpose of anything. He uses that for His purpose, but the calamity is a result of a fallen world an The Curse.

So all those verses are nullified?

And note, I referred to the harsh environment, not God specifically killing this unborn baby or that infant or that granddaddy to cause some other individual to repent and be saved. That of course is your nonsense.

Why did God create such a harsh environment? To facilitate the fallen to seek God as a refuge!

    Psalms 11:1
    Psalms 18:2
    Hebrews 6:18

Next will the calamity of God's wrath upon sinners will be removed from Reynolds gospel.

Not nullified at all. They just dont prove your premise stated in your original response to me. Look at my post 4. Follow your responses and observe how you went off the rails.
