I offer this up as a legitimate question. I'm not trying to prove a point. So please don't pick my words apart and get angry with me.

It was my understanding growing up that Baptist (we were Missionary, then became Southern) are a non-Creedal denomination. Yet we (SBC)have Baptist Faith & Message. It's also my understanding that some Baptist Churches/Conventions hold to the Second London Baptist Confession or the Westminster Confession.
I'm not casting a vote for or against any of these when I say this, It looks to me like Confessions are just another name for Creeds.
I'm sure I must be missing some detail, or standard by which they are seperated.

    What's the difference?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and opinions.
