Show me where we want to compensate victims .

And I point again to oppressive regimes that we do trade with. The policy is inconsistent at best.

    Sanctions starve people.

Bad government starves people not sanctions.

It is estimated Bill Clinton's sanctions on Iraq killed 500,000 poor people. I've brought this point up, several times on this board. Not a single government official suffered.

Yet we are completely fine trading with far more authoritarian communist dictatorships like China and Vietnam along with Islamist regimes in the Middle East. Its not as if this would be the first time the United States ever condoned a dictatorship.

They don't come any more brutal than the Castros--people raised with the best of everything make the most vicious communists.

Good point--Libertarians are divided amongst themselves. Some think that the US is imperialistic towards Latin America and if we charged a few billion dollars worth of goods to the Castros they would not be obligated to repay. Others think that if we give goods to the Castros, they will distribute them to the Cuban people and not add the money to their Swiss bank accounts as they have done for the last fifty-five years. And then there are those like you who think that it is not the Castros who starve people but the US demand for cash only sales (the policy since 2001) that starves people. Did the US starve the Ukraine during the Great Depression, too?

You didn't disprove my point and that's a false statement. Its obvious the Castros aren't as nasty as say Pol Pot or Josef Stalin or Kim Jong-Un.
