Ok, a quick little question for anyone who has NOT read Dante's Inferno.

What material comprises the hellish lake of fire?

Apropos of nothing in particular, that reminds me of Robert Frost's poem "Fire and Ice":

"Some say the world will end in fire,
    Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
    Is also great
    And would suffice."

Hey, that was apropos of something: Frost's name!

When reading Dante's descriptions of the souls encased in ice it was easy to think of those immersed in the lava rivers as the lucky ones! I went outside for a few seconds with my bare feet in the snow, and when I came back in was thoroughly convinced that ice would suffice!
