    Good idea.

    My only exposure to David Cloud is his strong conviction for KJV-Onlyism, with which I strongly disagree. This topic, however, has been discussed at length in the Bible Translations forum.

    What are your experiences with him? Other than the subject of KJVO, what are his alleged "lies?" Someone said they have had correspondence with him, and someone else said that they know either him or his family. Why not take the time to either expose or exonerate him?

    I subscribe to his mailing list, and there are times I benefit. However sometimes I cringe with what he writes...as I wrote in that other thread, he seems to seek uniformity among IFB's, and doesn't leave alot of room for unity. (unless you follow almost exactly his views, what a minute, that's uniformity!) :eek:

    Well, after visiting his site again, and checking a few more half-truth stories, I will have to pop him some more e-mails. What a joke. This guy is hysterical.

    I met Bro Cloud a few years ago,and we had him in or home for dinner. I am not a big fan of his ministry, but do you really think we should have a thread which we know will lead to attacks on him?

    I regret being involved in another thread regarding an individual. I don't think it is godly, if any one has a problem with Bro Cloud they should deal with him personally, IMHO.

    Whoa, hold on: I said expose or exonerate him. I did not say anything about attacks.

    Note my post: I said that I strongly disagreed with his KJVO beliefs, and left it at that. That is not an attack.

    David Cloud's views on the KJV are being misrepresented, I do believe. He is no Ruckmanite, nor a follower of Jack Hyles. He is KJV only, as he believes the KJV is the best version available, and he also believes SOME modern versions were translated with less care. His views are available, for free, on his site.

    I've met him, sat down to dinner with him. Talked, at length. He is an expert fisherman, and loves football. He's a genuinely nice guy.

    However, I do not agree with him on all issues, especially when it comes to music. I also think he can be his own worst enemy, with his vicious attacks.

    But it would be hard to find a better source against Roman Catholocism, than his site. He has researched ad nauseum, uses their own words against them. He has also exposed L.D.S. errors, and Pentecostal failures, as well.

    Not sticking up for him, mind you. I just want everyone to be fair.

    His bible study materials are excellent, as is his Bible dictionary. If I could accomplish for Christ even 10% of what this man has I would be thrilled.
