Act 10:43 was SPOKEN by Peter at Corneilius' house but was PRACTICED by ALL THE PROPHETS before there ever was a Corneilius or can't you read English - "To him give all the prophets WITNESS that THROUGH HIS NAME whosoever believeth IN HIM shall receive remission of sins" and Paul says the same thing in Hebrews 4:2 that THE SAME GOSPEL was PREACHED unto them.

Abraham believed in Christ BEFORE He obeyed God and went out (Gal. 3:8; Heb. 12:1 "had" said) and he was justified by faith BEFORE he was circumcised so quit lying and perverting God's Word! When he went out he did so in DISOBEDIENCE as he was commanded to LEAVE HIS FATHER.

You are the ons lying, subtracting and adding to God's Word what you please to support your false doctrines.

The WORD WAS SPOKEN TO CORNELIUS AND HIS HOUSEHOLD.

    Read this:

Cornelius stared at him in fear, “What is it, Lord?” he asked.

The angel answered, “Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a

memorial offering before God. Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man

named Simon who is called Peter...

OKAY, BIBLICIST, DO YOU WANT TO KEEP FEEDING PEOPLE YOUR FALSE
DOCTRINES, SAYING IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT WE DO. THE ANGEL SAID
CORNELIUS’ PRAYERS AND GIFTS TO THE POOR HAVE COME UP AS A MEMORIAL OFFERING BEFORE GOD. HE WAS A DEVOUT AND GOD-FEARING MAN THAT PRAYED AND GAVE GIFTS TO THE POOR, AND THAT IS WHY HE HAS HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO HAVE AN ANGEL SPEAK TO HIM, THAT IS WHY HE WAS ABLE TO HAVE PETER COME TO HIM THAT WOULD HAVE A MESSAGE THAT WOULD SAVE HIM AND HIS WHOLE FAMILY.

You go against God’s Word. The Bible says Abraham OBEYED AND WENT. YOU SAY HE DISOBEYED.

By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going. Hebrews 11:8

You are the liar. The Bible says he OBEYED AND WENT.

Anyone who can see, can see that you just described yourself.

No one is denying that Corneilius was a believer in the old Testament gospel (Acts 10:43) and therefore pleased the Lord.

What you said was that Acts 10:43 did not have any application outside the house of Cornelius and that is absolutely false as the very text demands ALL Old Testament Prophets gave witness or preached faith in Christ for remission of sins.

So stop changing the subject to escape your false interpretations of Acts 10:43!

    Outright lying again!

What I said was that he believed in the gospel BEFORE he left Ur of the Chaldees (Gal. 3:6-8 with Gen. 12:1 "HAD" said).

As far as his obedience to the command to leave his Father's house and leave Ur - it was PARTIAL obedience as he did not leave his Father's house but remained in His Father's house until his Father died in Haran. After leaving Haran he still did not FULLY obey as he took other family with him. That is why the promise is repeated and expanded again in Genesis 15 AFTER Lot separated from him.

If you don't know that you don't need to be teaching anyone but you need to go back to Sunday School and learn the story of Abraham.

Yes, he ULTIMATELY did leave Haran and go but he did not OBEY the Lord's command fully in Ur where he heard and believed the gospel FIRST!

There is no excuse for your lying and deceitfulness. You can read the story in Genesis and see clearly he did not FULLY obey that command in Ur. Nor did he FULLY obey it when he left Haran. If you cannot acknowledge that then you are a deceiver through and through!

Genesis 12:1 ¶ Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house...."

Here is the command of the Lord! Did Abraham obey that command at UR? No! He left Ur and came to Haran WITH HIS FATHER and REMAINED IN HIS FATHER'S HOUSE in Haran.

Did Abraham obey that command when he left Haran? NO! He did not leave his "kindred" but brought his nephew Lot with him!

Did Abraham PARTIALLY obey that command at Ur? Yes, he left Ur and headed toward Palestine.

Did Abraham PARTIALLY obey that command at Haran? Yes, he left Haran and headed to Palestine.

Did Abraham finally fully obey that command? Yes, he parted from his "kindred" finally and God then reaffirmed the same promise given at Haran where he first received the gospel and then PARTIALLY obeyed all the way to Canaan.

So does this contradict Hebrews 11:8? No! Because Abraham did finally and fully obey that command.

Anyone can read the story and see that Moriah does not know what he is talking about and is intentionally perverting the story of Abraham and lying while he is perverting it.

The point is that he FIRST received the Gospel by faith BEFORE he obeyed the Lord's command to get out of his Father's house just as Ephesians 2:10 demands that one must be first created "in Christ" Jesus "UNTO" good works which follow but do not precede.

Galatians 3:17 says he was "in Christ".

Acts 10:43 says every prophet preached the gospel of faith "IN HIM"

Hebrews 4:2 demands the gospel, the very same gospel we preach today was preached prior to the cross and it was receivd by faith.

Jesus demands there has been only ONE WAY of salvation prior to the cross and it is the SAME WAY preached today - Mt. 7:13-14; Jn. 14:6; Acts 4:12 and the absolute proof there is but ONE WAY of salvation before and after the cross is that those "many" who rejected it in Matthew 7:13 are the same "many" that will stand before Christ in judgment day and claim him as "LORD, LORD....IN THY NAME....have we not done many wonderful works" proving faith in him before the cross is the same as faith in him after the cross just as Acts 10:43 and Acts 4:12 demand!!!

As a consequence for sin. Moses also didn't enter into the Promised Land because of another sin. All sin has its consequence. Some of the Corinthians were killed because of their sin (abuse of the Lord's Table) in 1Cor.11:30. That doesn't mean they lost their salvation.
The Bible says if you say you do not sin then you deny Christ and His Word is not in you. Does that sound like "works."
Does it say one is justified by faith plus obedience. You are the one adding to the word of God.
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
--Where does it say "obedience" in that verse?
Why are you adding to the Word of God?
The context of Ephesians chapter two is not the OT law. Why are you trying to force that interpretation into it?

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The subject and verb are here You are saved. It is that simple.
By Grace A prepositional phrase defining how one is saved.
Through Faith A prepositional phrase defining the means by which one is saved.
Not of yourselves A stand alone phrase stating that salvation is not of anything one can do. Christ paid it all. You cannot work for your salvation. It is not of yourself or anything you, of your self, can do. It does not relate to the OT; it relates to what one can do in their own strength.
it is the gift of God A statement in itself. Salvation is a gift. If works were involved it would not be a gift. If obedience were involved it wouldn't be a gift. Gifts cannot be worked for. Gifts are freely received, as they are freely given. No works, no obedience are required to receive a gift. They are free.
not of works Salvation is not of works. Works are not defined here. Salvation is not of good works, not of any kind of works. One cannot work their way into heaven.
There is nothing in Ephesians 2 that refers it back to OT animal sacrifices. That is a perversion of the Word of God; it is ignorance of basic hermeneutics.
He knows the heart of every man.
Genesis 6:5 And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
--The imagination of the thoughts of man's hear is only evil continually. He has a depraved nature. Obedience cannot save a man; only Christ can. The Holy Spirit indwells a person when he trusts him as Savior. There are no works, no obedience involved. Salvation is a gift from God.
That is an error, an untruth. John 14:23: Jesus is speaking to his disciples. Do you consider all of them unsaved? Furthermore they had the presence of Christ in the flesh. The Holy Spirit would only be sent after Christ would depart from them. He told them that plainly.
Ephesians 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
--This verse has nothing to do with Leviticus. You are twisting the Word of God to your own destruction as Peter says. Where in Eph.2 does Paul refer to Leviticus? He doesn't. Why are you forcing this unneeded interpretation in here. The works are good works. Salvation is not by good works. It has nothing to do with the OT law; it is speaking of your own merit.
Catholics are full of good works but that doesn't mean they are saved. Likewise J.W.'s, Mormons, etc. Good works don't make a person saved.
You are adding to the Word of God again.
What does Acts 10:43 say one need to do to have remission of sins?
Simply believe and that is all. No obedience is required. Simply believe.
It is not I; but you, for you preach a false gospel.
    1. The beginning was the Ur of the Chaldees, the place where he believed and was saved.
    2. Heb.11:8 tells of his life of faith after he was saved. His life was a life of obedience. He obeyed because he was saved, not in order to be saved.
    3. Yes, he obeyed before he was circumcised because he was saved before he was circumcised. Case closed. Works had nothing to do with his salvation.
Because at that time he was hesitant to obey God, being pressured by his wife.
I gave you Scripture. I did not add to the Word of God. Now you are denying Scripture because you don't want to believe it.

You say the Catholics, JW's, and Mormons do good works! The Catholics, JW"s, and Mormons do NOT do good works, for they do not obey the teachings of Jesus.
You are blind and do not understand the Word of God.

:) You are finally starting to understand the Word of God.
You are right. No man can do good if he is unsaved. All their righteousnesses are as filthy rags. There is none that doeth good. They do not seek after God; rather it is God that seeks after them. Nothing they do is good.
I am glad to see that you are finally starting to see the truth of God's Word.

Where do you come up with such things?

It is good to obey Jesus’ teachings.

A person can do good to be saved. Just think of Cornelius. You do not

understand the scriptures about filthy rags. It is not as filthy rags to get Jesus' teachings and obey them. That is insane to believe that. God's Truth will give one a sound mind.

Before I was saved, I wanted to be, so I got Jesus teachings and started to

do what he said. Then he saved me.

God was going to kill Moses for not obeying by circumcising his son.

As for those Corinthians that died because of their sin, I guess you do not think it is so bad to come under the judgment of the Lord and be disciplined in such a way.

So your point is in this reply is that at least they did not lose their salvation?

You try to nullify the Word of God by saying they did not lose their salvation. That still does not prove they did not have to obey before they were saved.

So people who sincerely try to obey the scriptures the best way they know how, even if their understanding is wrong, are not doing good works? Right? You do not doubt that Catholics, JW's and Mormons are sincere in what they do, do you? You do not deny they are attempting to do "good" works do you?

Have you not previously argued that similar like sincere but misguided non-religious people do "good" works????? Did not you make this very argument in order to deny vehemently the words of Jesus directed toward a sincere young ruler looking and asking Jesus what he may do "good" when Jesus told him that there is "NONE good but one and that is God? Did not you make the very same argument vehemently against the words of Paul who said there is "NONE that doeth good, no, NOT ONE"????

Yes you did and now you are repudiating your own arguments in order to get around universal depravity. You argued that not all men are depraved but some are "good" due to their sincerety even though they may be without Biblical knowledge of what God requires as right and wrong.

You act as if the works of the law in the Old Testament were long forgotten by the time Paul preached the gospel.

You are wrong, for Ephesians 2:8 is about not of by works of the Old Testament law, for just three scriptures later, scripture 11 speaks of circumcision! Circumcision is in the Old Testament law.

    You are contradicting yourself.
    First you said this:
You used to be a Catholic. I think I read your testimony to that effect. When you were a Catholic and unsaved you could do no good, as you just said. Catholics do not do good works. You just admitted to that.

But then you came to Christ. After that you began to do good works. That is the teaching in Eph.2:8-10. Verses 8 and 9 teach about salvation.
    Verse 10 says:
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
--The Christian, the believer in Christ is created in Christ Jesus unto good works. Those works can only be done after one is saved; not before.

All of the good works that Cornelius did before he was saved were for naught as far as God was concerned. They may have benefited the community, just as unsaved farmers who plow our land do today, but in the site of God they are not good works. Only a saved person can do good. Only a saved person "is created unto good works."

They do not obey Jesus. They go against the Word of God. How is there anything good in that?

Is this where you start making up stuff about me again?
I have no idea what you are trying to accuse me of now.
For one thing, I have explained to you before that you do not understand the scripture about no one is good---except God alone.

For another thing, Jesus said he lacked ONE thing, go sell everything you have and give to the poor, and ….then follow me. That is all he had left to do. Jesus knew it was hard for the rich to give up their riches. Jesus says it is harder for the rich to be saved. You do not understand those scriptures.

Only God is good. It is not a sin to seek God and obey. That is what we are supposed to do. That is not my word that is the Word of God.
You are in error about God’s word, you do not understand what I say, you also make up things I say and twist things too, and now I am supposed to try to figure out the mess you are saying here?
What does people being able to do goods have to do with the Catholics, Jehovah Witnesses, and the Mormons? The Catholics, JW's, and the Mormons got Jesus' teachings, and then went against them!

You have a hard time understanding anything Spiritual.

A Catholic could do good things in their life that is not the point. The point is, when you do get Jesus’ teachings, as the Catholics say they do, but when they go against them, then that is not going to get you saved.

For one thing, I have told you repeatedly not to call obeying Jesus a work, because you confuse it with doing anything right, instead of it sometimes meaning the the Old Testament works of the law like circumcision and sin offerings. I have explained that to you repeatedly, and in detail. Works that we are no longer saved by are that of worshiping rules and regulations. Again, stop calling obeying Jesus a work, since you are so confused by the different works spoken of in the Bible. It is only a work in the Old Testament when following the rules and regulations about circumcision, sin offerings, etc, that we are no longer saved by.

We can believe and obey Jesus before we are saved, and thankfully, he saves us not long after obeying, and we do good works after we are saved. You are trying to nullify God’s Word about obeying and then receiving the Holy Spirit. See Acts 5:32 and John 14.

What a lie. The angel appeared to Cornelius to tell him his prayers and gifts went before God as a memorial offering. Why even tell us about that if it did not matter. Why even say Cornelius was a devout and God-fearing man that gave generously?

You speak the words of Calvinists, and not the Word of God.

Your explanation is false and I can give you plently of contextual based reasons why it is false.

    1. The words of Christ are explicitly UNIVERSAL providing only ONE exception whereas your interpretation is not unversal providing only ONE exception. Attach this to the next reason and your explanation falters even more:

    2. Your explanation cannot account for why Christ would even say these words to a person seeking to do good and obtain eternal life and the proof is that if such a person came to you asking the very same question YOU WOULD NEVER RESPOND as Christ did with these words and YOU KNOW IT!

    3. These words pinpoint the very problem that not only this young man has but you have as well. You have no concept of what God demands that you must "DO" according to the law to obtain eternal life! Any person who claims they have kept all the ten commandments from their youth up has not the least understanding of what the ten commandments really require but they are found in the words of Christ that follow - "if thou wilt be PERFECT."

    4. Selling all he has and following Christ requires total faith and dependence upon Christ because he has sold out everything to sustain him - that is what the first five of the ten commandments really require in ones relationship with God which five commandments Christ summarizes in "love the Lord thy God with ALL....ALL....ALL....ALL..."

    5. Giving all that he has to the poor fulfils the second five commandments which Christ sumarizes as "Love your neighbor AS YOURSELF"

This young man could not do it and neither can any unregenerated human being because they are born with RICHNESS IN SELF and salvation requires CRUCIFIXION OF SELF and it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for unregenerate human beings RICH IN SELF to enter the kingdom of heaven. It is "impossible with men" and only possible with God saving such men.

However, this is all above your comprehension level or capability to understand and your response will prove it.

    You think you can.

Jesus says it is HARD for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven Do you believe Jesus.

Did Jesus say that some types of people entered the kingdom of heaven before others? YES.

The tax collectors and prostitutes entered before some of them.

That is a lie. For I tell people that they must put Jesus before their dad, mom, wives, children, sisters, brothers, riches, everything.

I love God’s Word, and I know and understand the LORD God. In this, I can, and do boast. Do you want scripture?

    Speak for yourself.

    Again, speak for yourself.

He obeyed God, and this means that he loved God, and God will love us back. The scripture SAYS and Jesus loved him. Jesus said he lacked one thing. Jesus knew that man put his riches before God.

You are spamming. Stop just copy/pasting, even after I have already answered.

I do not care about your reasoning. I only want God’s Word.

That is more of man’s wisdom. God does not tell everyone to sell everything we got. You have no understanding. You sound like a Catholic right now believing that have to eat the real body of Jesus.

Which Calvinist taught you this? Was it Paul Washer?

Don't pick and choose what Jesus said and then pervert his words. No, he explained exactly how "hard" it was when he continued to explain by saying "with men this is IMPOSSIBLE" and he gave an analogy of that impossibility - it is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle - impossible!

Jesus did not say "put Jesus before their dad, mom, wives, etc." but what he said was "THERE IS NONE GOOD but ONE and that is God"! You would never say these words to a sincere seeker asking you what good thing can he do! You have perverted his words, changed them to suit yourself. The fact that you CHANGED his words proves you not only would never say these words to a seeker wanting to do good but you don't even understand why Jesus said these words.

    Quoting scripture is spamming??????????

You will stand in judgment in give an account of your lying and perverting of God's Word and for the truth you have been confronted with - 2 Cor. 2:15-17.

You make no sense. Only to show what kind of person you are.

Jesus says it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Did Jesus say it is hard for the poor?

Try to stay focused. When Jesus says it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, that is still about the RICH MAN.

Do you think the devil does not know when he is lying too? You pretend as if you have no idea you are lying. You are blind then, and do not know you are lying? You surely are ensnared by the devil to do his work.

You want us to believe that Jesus does not tell us to put him before everything, including family and riches. Then you need to consider more carefully these scriptures.

Luke 14:26 "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters--yes, even his own life--he cannot be my disciple.

    Matthew 10:37 "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;

John 12:25 The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

How evil, for you to say I pervert the word of God when I say I will repeat what Jesus says.

Did you think because you said you believe in Jesus, than joined a church, that that made you saved?
I have a powerful testimony. There is no evil that you speak to me that ever could in the slightest cause me to be concerned for even a fraction of a second. When you speak that way to me, I just realize how far you are from knowing God.

What utter blindness and rejection of God's Word! You know as well as I do that he told the rich man - "THERE IS NONE GOOD but ONE and that is God" and you know you would NEVER SAY THOSE WORDS to a person coming to you and seeking to do good! You are just a plain liar.

Can you stop yourself from constantly calling me a liar? You are no plain liar you are an advanced liar. You must enjoy hearing that since you constantly say it to me.

I have and will continue to explain to others that we have to put Jesus before anyone and anything else.

They must put Jesus before others, if they have not in their heart and mind, then they have not entered the kingdom of heaven. How do you ever think that I would not tell them that is such a major error on you.

As for when Jesus says no one is good only God alone is good. That is about whom goodness comes, not from anyone else, but God alone. That does NOT mean people cannot do good things, just think of the Good Samaritan.

What it means that God alone is good, this is about anything good is from God. When people live by the truth, they come into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done through God.
