You cannot Deal with the Biblical facts laid down in Romans 7:5-6 so you divert readers to your speculative philosophical mental gymnastics. Romans 7:5-6 explicitly exposes your heresy and condemns it.

Dead to the Law by the Body of Christ !

How is one dead to the Law ? It's not by ones Faith, not by ones Repentance, not by one's New Birth, but it is Solely by the Body of Christ Rom 7:4

4Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

There is a purpose why the Death of Christ accomplished that, but we will look at what it means to be dead to the law by or on the account of the Body of Christ, which is another way of saying the Death of Christ, because He [if he died for you] bore our sins in His BODY on the Tree 1 Pet 2:24

24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

That we may be dead or die to sin. As you can see, Peter writes the same exact as Paul did when He wrote Rom 7:4. What does being dead to the Law mean ? It means the Law of God has no condemning power or authority over those Christ has died for. Now every sin, the one Christ died for, is a violation of God's Holy Law, remember the strength of sin is the Law 1 Cor 15:56

56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.

For sin is not imputed where there is no Law Rom 5:13

For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

So every sin, the works of the flesh, such as those listed in Gal 5:19-21

19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

All of these sins, and believe me this is a partial list, all these sins of the Flesh are Violations of God's Holy Law ! and makes us worthy of condemnation and death Rom 1:32.

Now all of these sins and more, God has been propitiated for, His Law and Justice for them, concerning each Person Christ has died for, has been completely satisfied by the Body of Christ, and not one of them can ever be legally condemned or charged to them, not ever, no matter how many times, and often they commit them. That is what being dead to the Law by the Body of Christ means, for everyone Christ died for. Even when one for whom Christ died enters into this world, by nature children of wrath as others, not one sin they commit can condemned them by God's Law, not as long as Christ sitteth on the Right hand of God making Intercession for them ! If one does not believe this, they have not the Faith of God's Elect, and they are yet
unenlightened as to the accomplishment of the Blood of Christ !

Readers, notice that SBG jerks Romans 7:4 out of context and then uses other scriptures not from this context to PIT against the contextual explanation found in Romans 7:5-6.

This is the MO of all heretics! They run jump and pit scritpure against scripture. They are incapable of doing proper exegetical expositions.

Romans 7:5-6 completely EXPOSE and CONDEMN SBG's total theory as FALSE!

He will not deal with Romans 7:5-6 because HE CANNOT!

Rom. 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Paul completely repudiates SBG's position that the elect were born "dead" to sin as he asserts the very opposite. He says that "when" we "were in the flesh" [that is prior to the new birth as all men are either "in the flesh" or "in the Spirit" - Rom. 8:8-9] that we were alive to the law as the law "did work in our members" and it did "bring forth death."

6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

There was no deliverance from the law until "now" after being removed from "in the flesh" to "in newness of spirit"! We were not delivered from the Law while being "in the flesh" but were "DEAD" wherein we were "HELD" by the law until the new birth.

Hence, SBG is teaching lies when he says we had already been delivered from the law IN REGARD TO OUR OWN PERSON even before we were born! Paul calls that a LIE!

We were already delivered by PURPOSE or PLAN before the world began but not by PERSONAL APPLICATION until the new birth.

We were already delivered by PROVISION by Christ on the cross but not by PERSONAL APPLICATION until the new birth.

Those who attempt to isolate one of these aspects (purpose, provision, application) from another and claim it stands complete alone from the other two apsects is simply perverting God's Word.

Anyone who tells you different is not merely blowing smoke but is in direct contradiction to the INSPIRED teaching of Paul in Romans 7:5-6!

No, I explain what it means in its context. Vs 5ff says nothing that contradicts it ! But I am not finished with vs 4, then I will comment on vs 5 !

Thats a flat out denial of the Body of Christ, His Death and what it did to the Law for those he died for. Thats against Christ !

Folks, Christ Death for those He died for satisfied all of God's Law and Justice on their behalf, God condemned their sins against the law in His Flesh Rom 8:3

3For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

God Judged Christ and condemned Him for all the sins of the Flesh of the Elect, those He died for !

Your complete ignorance again, Thats what I am doing, exegeting the text. The word exegesis means:

critical explanation or interpretation of a text or portion of a text, especially of the Bible.

Think that as Christians, will be seeking to please the Lord and live for Him...

Means to doing that though is reckon/consider ourselves as being dead to sin, made alive again in christ, and that we live by relying upon the Holy spirit to enable us to live for jesus...

So we are dead to the law in sense jesus fully paid the obligations we owed God for transgressions against it, by both sin natures and sin choices, but that we have been freed from obeying it in sense to get/kept saved, and when we submit to the HS, He empowers us to fulfill it byHhis power and might!

Purpose to why made Dead to the Law

To be married to another !

Christ death accomplished that all for whom He died should be married to another.

    Rom 7:4

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

The believer is become dead to the Law, its condemnation, and all of its requirements as a covenant of works, do and live. Now how are believers in Christ dead to the Law ? Is it by their Faith in Christ ? No sir, its by the Body of Christ, meaning His Death and all that it accomplished for them in regards to God's Law. He kept it perfectly for them, and where they did offend, He bore the full cup of God's wrath for them, and the design was so that they can be married to another to another, even Him that has been raised up from the dead for their Justification Rom 4:25, that they may bring forth Fruit unto God, that is perform those good works that God before hath ordained they they should walk in Eph 2:10.

Marriage is an fellowship, a Experiential Union, so all for whom Christ died, God out of Faithfulness calls them into the Fellowship of His Son 1 Cor 1:9

9God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

The word unto is the preposition eis and denotes into as in entrance into, this call actually results in entering into experiential union and fellowship with Christ !

This is an accomplishment of the Death of Christ for all whom He died and rose again for their Justification and made them dead to the Law

Their Law Husband was Dead Rom 7:3

3So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

If Christ had not already severed their relationship with the Law, by His Death, then they could not be Married to Him, because they would not be free from the Law !

Jesus was asked one time what "work" we must do to be saved .

His reply was to believe in/on God and the ONE that He had sent!

    PERIOD!

    Faith:
    Non Baptist Christian
    GE:

The fact and truth even, "All of these sins ... are Violations of God's Holy Law",
leaves me, cold, is actually what Paul is saying when he says, I am dead to the Law. The fact all sin without distinction or exception are violations against Jesus Christ and God in his Majesty, Glory and Holiness through Him, _that_, to Paul was the crux that mattered!

And as far as I am concerned, too, I don't care about the Law not even about the Fourth anymore. WHY? Because it says there God redeemed the Israelites from Egypt on the Sabbath Day and that's why they had to remember and hallow it. But I care about the Sabbath Day of the LORD GOD, not because of the Jew's redemption, because I remember it for the Salvation once for all by Christ in his Resurrection from the dead "On the Seventh Day ... God from all his works rested" in Him and through his Resurrection "On the Sabbath" ... as expected because of all God's finishing of before as an example and Promise set forth of his faithfulness and truthfulness to Himself and "to us-ward".

That is even why because God the Seventh Day rested from his creation so long ago and far away fades in importance to nothing vis a vis Christ the Saviour of God's creation and Elect when in Him and together with Him all were co-raised into eternal life and peace, "In the Sabbath's fullness of day mid-afternoon".

Who needs a redundant Law that sent you to your grave when one has the Living Law of God's Eternal Word RAISED UP from the dead and that did the same for you?

I only speak what the Word of God says. Do not say period. I am speaking of a faith that does not give up…like the widow, like the one knocking on the door; Jesus says forceful men lay hold of it. Instead of you saying thanks for the word of faith, you go against me, why is that?

The scriptures about the widow, the one knocking, and the forceful, these scriptures also show that total depravity is false. These show it is a false religion claiming God saves us before we believe.

Calvinists teach that 'believing' is a work. However, believing is like drinking water. In addition, if it is a work, it is the work required. Moreover, what kind of work is drinking?

Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." John 6:28-29. Jesus says that believing is the work God requires.

For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body--whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free--and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 1 Corinthians 12:13.

Yes, Paul nor anyone else Christ died for can sin legally against the Law of God ! God's Law has been perfected Honored by everyone Christ has died for, as though they themselves have kept it perfectly all their lives ! This is True even when they are being born sinners and enemies and ungodly by nature as others.

Rom 7:5 When we were in the flesh !

    Rom 7:5

5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Paul refers back to his unconverted days, unregenerate days, in the flesh, Paul says when we were totally governed by our depraved hearts, experimentally a sinner against God's Law. The forbidding of evil which the Law demands, as such with adam and eve in the garden " thou shalt not eat of the certain tree" this Law when pressed unto eve by the serpent brought forth the evil of sin, its like when Paul says, he was experimentally dead to the law until it bade him Thou shalt not covet Rom 7:7

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

And since this is the principle of the unregenerate heart, we all the time as unregenerate men and women walk according to the lusts of our flesh as Per Eph 2:2-3

2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

We had a manner of life in the flesh, in opposition to God's Law, and did those things as worthy of death as others !

Now, even though this was true experimentally of all the children of grace, the Death of Christ for them, that Honored all of God's Law and Justice for them, had them still legally dead to the Law, however while unregenerate and in the flesh, the knowledge of this is withheld !

We must have faith! Calvinists say we do not have faith, and that God saves us and makes us have faith. Calvinists say all hate God, and that God saves us in this state of hate. THAT IS NOWHERE IN THE SCRIPTURES. Jesus says he gives the Holy Spirit to those who love him. See John 14:23 and Acts 5:32.

You sir are a liar and not only a liar but commiting sin when you make that absolutely moronic statement! (1 Jn. 1:8-10).

It is one thing to say I do my best to speak what the Word of God says but quite another thing to say "I ONLY speak....." Nobody but inspired prophets can claim that and you sir are not a prophet.

We would not know what faith is if Jesus had not come. How do you think that proves no one can believe in God after learning of Him?

Matthew 25:28 "'Take the talent from him and give it to the one who has the ten talents.

Matthew 25:29 For everyone who has will be given more, and he will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.

Matthew 25:30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'
