What does it matter if we feed and clothe them, and yet they still end up in hell?

So much for all your statements regarding your love of the works of DMLJ.

Good bye to your Welsh forebears.

Say goodbye to your professed love for Al Martin's preaching.

Goodbye to your supposed love for Primitive Baptist theology.

You and Franky will make quite the pair!

Be sure to be honest enough not to post in the Baptist only forums.

I also have Italian forebears. Italian Catholic ones. They were the ones that fed me and clothed me....not Al Martin nor the Baptists.

No, but they are saved despite the false theology, as God still saves His own!

Well there you go. See but I don't like the pope nonsense. nor do I like jumping the hoops of sacramental steps. Lets see, there is 7 of them.....Baptism, Confirmation, Holy Eucharist, Penance, Marriage, Holy Orders & Extreme Unction.

Still, I am drawn to the Franciscans. I'm not going to go through my experiences with them but they have mostly been favorable.

Is there some type of need in you to be right & think of yourself as saved, superior & morally elite standing on God & religion, and forever quoting arguable scripture for your own purpose?

Ive stated this before & this will probably be the last time, I believe that more evil has come into the world by people of righteous ignorance than by people who have intentionally sinned. Being convinced that one has the whole truth and has God wrapped up in my church organization, my dogmas and my right response .... I am a Baptist, I made a personal decision for Christ, God saves my kind & not your kind, I go to church.

It's not wrong to be right....once and a while if something work out, that's sure nice. The Spiritual problem (that I find on this Board more than anywhere else) is the need to be right.

We are called to do the truth & let go of the consequences....so I am going to let go. There is some research of mine I have to do in the next few weeks. Some friends of mine have died these last few weeks & others are seriously ill which causes to re-evaluate many things. I know this, I want life & I want it abundantly. If any given church or gathering place does not care for the brethren on this side of life, does not cherish them & give comfort to them here, now & on this side of life, then how are they going to do anything for me when we are dead.

I have no need to be superior towards anyone else, as I was a sinner, hell bound, and ONLY due tothe grace of God was saved, but just feel obligated to make sure that we do not accept the Church of rome as being and teaching the real Gospel of Christ!

I knw that the Church of Rome still upholds as canon the Council of Trent, where they placed the judgement of damnation upon the real gospel, and instead kept approval for their false one!

So what... who cares. Nobody followes that excrement. But they do feed the hungry, find housing for the homeless, reach out to people and do what it says in scripture to do.

The Vatican would disagree with you, for if any priest was found to be denying the Trent Council, and teaching what the reformation was stating, they would be defrocked quick!
And JW and Mormons and Masons all go god works, but none of them teach the right message of Jesus Christ!

Just like they defrocked all those pedofiles... come on. But most Franciscans are somewhat different... anyway the ones I know are.

They would still uphold the heresy of the Church of Rome...

Depends on the Franciscan... I know some very vocal ones who have already stated their disagreements with mainstream catholism and haven’t seen one defrocked yet. You do recall that both Calvin, Zwindle and Luther worked for the Catholics at one time. The RC “management” gave them ample time and many opportunities to recant. Of course they could not make that leap and were then excommunicated and later hunted. But they managed to start their very own Reformed Protestant Churches.

Franciscans are no different but people tend to like them... they trend activist. Frank the hippie pope is a Francian. He doesn’t win any awards for Christian orthodoxy but he can cover for radicals wanting to express themselves in a non traditional way.

So you are admitting that the current pope is not teaching biblical doctrines. but upholding Catholic dogma only?

The current Pope likes little children in the wrong way.
