Eph. 2:10, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works."

James 2:26, "Faith without works is dead."

Undemonstrated talk is not works. Jesus preached upon the completion of works as signs to validate His words. In contrast, Prophecy is speaking words to be later performed.

The production of words is everywhere in today's Christendom, even venerated and paid for. Professional Church Talkers stand and pontificate, as shining a light into a fish bowl. After skillfully hypnotizing their listeners into mute acceptance, a grand benediction is placed, and attendees move on. Theological expansions are assembled, made academic, packaged, sold for money.

Jesus and His Apostles materially demonstrated all they spoke. They spoke concisely. Jesus did not speak all to be conveyed upon any given topic. He never revealed His whole mind.

Words are neither faith nor works. "In the multitude of words, there wanteth not sin; but he that refraineth his lips is wise." Prov. 10:19.

1 Cor. 4:20, "The Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power."

Merely declaring the Word of God does not bring Power. Obeying God in the Spirit with works brings power.

Romans 1:16 says, "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Gentile"

Hebrews 4:12, "For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

How has Heb. 4:12-13 occurred in your life? Just answer.

[ Hint: think "deeds" in James ch. 2]

I expect more was intended than "we must walk the talk."

OTOH, presenting God's word to lead others to Christ is work through words. And going the other way, putting our words under a basket, to hide the light of Christ is not in accordance with the will of God.

How are those English comprehension skills coming along?

Does the declaration of God's Word by a Professional Church Talker in a pulpit mean He is performing it? Yes? No?

If the listeners nod their heads in agreement to the Pulipiteer, are they performing it? Think.

"Work through words." Something done by women and impotent talkers. Lol.

How about expressing feelings? Is that "work?" Lol.

If the Preacher has been led by God to proclaim the Word of God (preach the Word!) then yes; though I don’t know that “performing it” makes much sense; perhaps “obeying it” is closer to reality.

If the congregation is encouraging their pastor by “nodding” or with an “amen” of approval, then they too are obeying the Word of God (which includes Paul’s writings)

    peace to you

Head nodding agreement in faith without deeds is dead. God spoke this in James 2:20.

I don’t disagree with you, but you assume there are no deeds or changes in peoples lives due to the preacher’s faithful proclamation of God’s Word and the congregation’s faithful listening and responding.

    peace to you

Yes, I understand both your mindset and default answer.

Please understand the difference between assuming and observing what takes place within modern Laodicean Churches. Scripture repeatedly identified them, and what will happen.

The lukewarm and ill prepared Bride is majestically anticipated by their Redeemer, who will use fire to cause purity. Extreme suffering is both the result of Salvation in Christ, and the necessary means of remedial correction. It will begin this year in 2021.

Braying Preachers will be more accountable.

Scripture says a lot about how we use words to advance the kingdom. :)

    Mat 7:24
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.

Our Lord taught in His Gospels and reiterated throughout the NT that only those whose Spirit's desire is to overcome the world as HE DID are truly His. Christ's Example as the Last Man is the antithesis of the natural man (Adam). Not resisting evil, not rendering railing for railing, not taking up arms, turning the other cheek, giving to all who ask, meekness (the absence of ego), mercy, peacemaking, etc. This is the Spirit of Christ. If that isn't you yet, then get busy and get away from the noise of the harlots and their adulterous, convoluted teachings. Focus only on his Word while there is still time and there isn't much time left. Most of the professing in these last days were given a fake gospel with a fake Jesus that counted the costs of their belief for them. Stop counting the costs in this soon to end world.
