Why all this is not obvious to some is quite obvious.

And there you have it folks the grand Socialist Agenda clearly stated. Who pushes this aganda? The Radical Left of the Democrat Party including BHO. How will this agenda be brought into existance? Increased taxes, particularly on those evil profit making corporations and the wealthy (who are the exact people/organizations that employ the "little guys"), create more big government social programs (that don't work), then redistribute the wealth (received via increased taxes) to the poor et al. Typical failed tax and spend liberal nonsense.

When government tries to increase the tax load on big corporations and the "wealthy" they respond by first increasing the price of their goods and services so they can collect the percentage required to meet the new tax demand. This means we all pay more for the stuff we purchase. Second if the big corporations can't meet the new tax burden by increasing the costs of their good/services, because people can't afford to pay the higher costs, they will either go out of business in the US and/or relocate elsewhere. It is a no win situation being proposed by BHO and the Liberal Left.

Finally, I'll ask you all again, has any one here ever been employed by a poor man?

    Jesus preached this agenda:

    Matthew: 25
    35. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat,
I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,
I was a stranger and you invited me in,
    36. I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to visit me.

If the churches and people who say they are Christian refuse to do the above, who will do it other than the government?

Yes, I have. Working in a restaurant. The owner was a poor manager and thus financially poor. Think I got paid all of a dollar an hour ... but that was a long time ago.

What does that question have to do with being a Christian?

I agree, but the churches are not doing it. In fact many fundamentalist churches seem to be against anyone helping the poor, the ill, the handicapped, etc. Too many Christians give all their attention to the teaching of Paul and ignore Christ's teaching on how we are to live. So if the churches are not going to follow Christ's commands why do they scream when the gov. steps in. I agree it is not the best way. It would be much better for Christians to step up and do this work ... and it would show the unsaved that churches are relivant and that they do care.

I can't speak about all churches (as you imply). However, my church certainly does it. We host a food pantry that gives away tons of food free of charge twice a month every month. When the new school year started we had our members bring in book bags stuffed with all the school supplies requested from a local school. We provided over 250 such book bags for kids/families in need. This coming Saturday we will host our bi-annual clothes exchange where families in need can come a get whatever clothes they need all free of charge. Our ministry staff has access to benevolence funds that can be used to help people in need pay their utility bills, rent, or even a mortgage payment (depending on the assessment of their need by the pastor in charge of that ministry). Last Saturday we hosted our "Engage Day" where we sent approximately 300 church members out into the community to demonstrate the love of Christ by doing numerous service projects for the elderly, local schools, and the poor in our community.

Also notice who Jesus was speaking to in the Scripture you referenced above. He was talking His followers. He was not speaking to the governmant, nor does He imply that the government ought to step in and do these things. Jesus did not preach the kind of government enforced Socialist Agenda that you are advocating.

Baloney. Churches are doing it. The problem s you are under the false impresson that if everyone just got together this problem could be solved. That is wrong. What will solve this problem for people to be self sufficient.

The question is meant to point out the fact that it is the corporations and the "wealthy" of this world that create jobs and employ the "little guys" who's interests DNC claims to be watching out for; however, the actions of their Socialist Agenda do the exact opposite. They drive business either out of business or away and create a welfare state where more and more people are dependant on the government for redistributed hand-outs of wealth.

Note that you did not work very long for that poor guy did you? You did not support yourself for very long by working for him did you?
