I am not a fan of Rush but "I've said it before and I'll say it again": I want O'bama to fail in his plans to institute socialism in this country. I will pray that the country comes out of the democrat induced recession and that God will reveal to the citizens the truth about the democrat party.

They are the party of socialism.

They are the party that supports the murder of the unborn.

They are the party of same sex marriage.

They are the party of blame America first for all the world's problems.

They are the party that wants to stifle free speech and dissent by reinstating the so called "fairness doctrine".

They are the party of Balkanization of the public, setting rich against poor and black against white, for example.

They are the party of elitism, believing they have a [I hesitate to use the word divine and democrat in the same sentence.] right to rule the country.

Rush Limbaugh is a conservative radio talk show host. He's brash, intelligent, and very vocal in his criticism against the democrats and other liberals. My local radio station airs his 3-hour program every weekday.

Of course I do but that is just a matter of common sense. I want Obama to fail and fail huge. I want him to fail at extending the slaughter of unborn children. I want him to fail to push even farther the socialist policies that are proven to fail. I want him to fail to extend benefits and special rights to homosexuals. There is nothing in Obama's plan that will help anyone. You cannot spend yourself out of debt. We need to stop all new federal spending. We need to give small businesses an opportunity to grow and hire new employees. We need to cut taxes on investing, and real estate.

What Obama wants is not to jump start the economy. The libs have put together a package that does just the opposite and is simply full of all the favorite pet projects of the libs. Nothing here is to help the economy. And it is silly to suggest such.

Not much to be proud of in that list.

Democrats exemplify the worst of everything in America.

The truth is that neither major party is particularly God fearing in fact.

Perhaps, but the Republicans have significantly expanded the size and scope of the government--as well as the national debt--over the last 8 years.

Both parties united to vote for the huge bail outs that went to the financial firms/banks this past fall.

However, the the Republicans haven't really done more than give lip service in actually ending abortion (the exception being the opposition to partial birth abortion, which is commendable). Some prominent Republicans are actually pro"choice", and many support embryonic stem cell research.

Ironically, neither party seems to have much in the way of historical memory, as they seem to be unaware that many of our current problems are the blowback resulting from our Government's prior intervention in various areas of the world, particularly the middle East.

True, but the Republian machine stifles free speech when it tries to shut out (or ridicule) the views within the party of those (see Ron Paul) who question the rationale and/or the constitutionality for our current policies.

The Republicans do this too, if perhaps in different ways.

True, but the neocons who have attached themselves to the Republican party see themselves as elites and our nation as having the right to rule the world (aka "benign global hegemony"). The truth is that the real 'elites' who run the country use both major parties to stifle any real debate and thus any meaninful change.

At best our country is not really a democracy but an oligarchy of special interests...which is bad enough. At worse, however, our nation is a plutocracy, run by power elites who could care less about the interests of us common folk or of the US Constitution. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for either the GOP or the Dems to actually change this status quo.

    Peace.

Do some research on the Project for the New American Century (PNAC), and then tell me I'm joking.

The act of launching a petition against Rush is free speech. So is the act of opposing it as many have done. Have you been prevented from expressing your opposition? In what way?

Not yet. But Obama is busily working on expanding the hate crimes bill.

I hope Obama's socialism, baby murdering, gay agenda policies fail, too. Guess that makes me a ditto head.

I now hear people actually talk about assassinating Limbaugh. How far behind can we be ?

And no, I am not exaggerating.

Also, if Rush is damaging the GOP so much, why do people want him silenced ?

    The left is collectively silly.

It was at the coffee shop this morning. You've known me long enough to know I don't lie. I could give you names, but what would that do ? Two people I know very well want him assassinated. And when I asked if Christians should face the same fate, both of them paused & thought.....

And I really don't care if you believe me or not, TTTT, it happened. I heard it. And there's two people I won't be spending any more time with......

I look forward to signing this petition. I will also contact my Senators and my Representative and encourage the return of the "fairness doctrine."

The idea is not to silence him but to tie him around the next of the Republican Party so that it makes it harder for the GOP to make its case to the moderate portion of the electorate.

Do they give a liberal talk show host equal time? [Yes, I am kidding.]

Will you urge this for the TV airways as well? Such a return would throw the TV media into chaos. They don't have the ability, at present, to do "fairness."

Any of the public's airways that are used for politics should be required to offer a variety of viewpoints.
