The democrats are pushing for a friday vote, despite promising to allow 48 hours to review of the stimulus bill before voting.

As of this evening, no republicans (or anyone outside the dem caucus) have even seen the bill that will be brought up at 9 am friday.

    So much for transparency

    Here's the story

As far as we know only 3 GOP senators will vote for the jobs bill. So what does it matter if the rest of the GOP see the bill?

The democrats have lied. I know you don't care, but some of us do.

You don't think that the Repugnants have ever lied?

As Obama has consistently done in his short time. This bill has had far more exposure than the Dems wanted. They need to button this thing up before it goes south. The American people are already convinced it is not a good idea.

It seems you once wanted Bush impeached for "lying". What happened Ken? Lying doesn't bother you so much now that the democrats are running the show?

    peace to you:praying:

My recollection is that I said that Bush should be impeached if he started a war with Iran with no evidence to do so. I don't know what you are referring to.

Agreed! The more the American people know about this, the more they oppose it.

The republicans should stall, stall, stall. The voters will come around.

    peace to you:praying:

My recollection is that you wanted Bush impeached for lying about WMD in Iraq.

Lying is lying and should be exposed and opposed no matter who is doing it.

Join me, Ken. Denounce the Dems for lying and demand they give 48 hours to review the bill.

    peace to you:praying:

No. I want the jobs bill passed and signed into law as soon as possible. I see no reason to dawdle waiting on the Repugnants to come around and do what is best for America by supporting this bill.

So, you are now on record in support of lying, as long as the democrats are the ones doing the lying.

Thanks for letting us know where you stand on this important moral issue.

    peace to you:praying:

I am opposed to lying. Therefore, fine, give the Republicans the weekend to read the bill and then vote on it on Monday. Then President Obama can sign it on Monday night or Tuesday morning. So I have decided I would go along with giving the Republicans this weekend - that would be 48 hours - to mull the bill over.

Do you have a poll to back up that contention?

You must know by now that any reference to Bush is off topic.

Democrats think they are ordained [by whom I don't know] to rule so they could care less what the American people think. Since the Roosevelt depression democrats have used the taxpayers money to buy democrat votes.

One irony about the recent election. Wall Street executives supported O'bama. Now they are getting the barbed shaft. Serves then right.

Don't you think that even the Democrats that will be voting in favor of the bill should at least be given an opportunity to know what they are voting for?

Or are all Democrats now just a rubber stamp for Pelosi, Reid and Obama?

This method disenfranchises the American people. We have a right to have our representatives see, study, and oppose any and all bills brought before the American people. This is the most un-American thing they could do.

Do you really believe that they are OUR representatives anymore? I don't believe anyone in Congress even believes they are acting in anyone but their own best interests. Today's politician believes in two things: 1) win elections, 2) do whatever you have to to win elections.

While it seems the more prominent ones are there are plenty of others who are not.
