    Israel's decision to attack Syria on Sept. 6, bombing a suspected nuclear site set up in apparent collaboration with North Korea, came after Israel shared intelligence with President Bush this summer indicating that North Korean nuclear personnel were in Syria, U.S. government sources said.

    I didn't say there was one. I just heard about the potentially nuclear aspect of this bombing raid this morning and I thought it was interesting enough to pass along.

    Well it certainly is newsworthy. And a well executed military action, I may add.

    I fully support Israel in their struggle.

    It speaks volumes that Syria is not screaming bloody murder over this raid.

    I believe they were caught and just want it to go away.

    Agreed. I'm not one for international welfare of any variety, but if we're going to have it I'd rather see just half of the $1 trillion plus we're spending in Iraq given to Israel. The Jews, unlike others, have never killed us with our own benevolence.

    And you don't hear much about it do you? I find it strange that America as well as Israel have never said much about it,lets see,gulf of tonkin,Lusitania,Pearl Harbor,The Maine,Oklahoma City,......................................................

    Israel is indeed a strategic ally. I am not one who believes we must sell the store to keep Israel whole, as they do a good job at defending themselves. However, I disagree with Dr. Ron Paul who says they should be left to fend for themselves. Israel is too important to let twist in the wind if it comes to that.

    I hope Iran is watching :thumbs:

    Israel is the only nation in the Middle East with nuclear weapons. Why should the only nuclear power in the Middle East need our military help?

    If Israel was left to defend itself the enire middle east would pounce on them and then the nukes would immediately become necessary.

    I think your comment is flawed. Egypt certainly doesn't want to attack Israel. Jordan certainly doesn't want to attack Israel. Syria doesn't have the guts to attack Israel even if it wants to do so. The only one in conflict with Israel is Hezbollah and Israel can't use nuclear weapons against it because they are too close to Israeli territory.

    That statement is a bunch of baloney. None of those countries have even attacked Israel since 1973.
