Did Rick Warren really say this?

    So after 6 pages of you ripping Rick Warren and his ministry, you are expecting warmth and compassion and love and mercy. Can you say hypocrit?? :rolleyes: </font>
Although these are the words of another, it is my statement also:

    "I am not here to slander anyone. I am the watchman on the wall. If I see what appears to be an enemy ..... and feel that I know the intent ....... and do nothing ..... then the blood is on my hands. I have too much heart and love people too much to allow that to happen. I may take criticism, but so did the One I serve under ... The Mighty Lion of Judah. I am not selling anything ..... do not believe anything that I say. Prove all things to yourself. Faith is built upon sound belief through scriptural knowledge. His Word is like pure silver forged in the fire seven times, and it does not come back void."

    British Woman Marries Israeli Dolphin

    Till death do us part? An unusual wedding ceremony was held in the southern resort town of Eilat on Wednesday, as Sharon Tendler, a 41-years-old Jewish millionaire from London married her beloved Cindy, a 35-year-old dolphin, Israel's leading newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported Thursday.

    The groom, a resident of the Eilat dolphin reef, met Tendler 15 years ago, when she first visited the resort. The British rock concert producer took a liking to the dolphin and has made a habit of traveling to Eilat two or three times a year and spending time with her underwater sweetheart.

    "The peace and tranquility underwater, and his love, would calm me down," the excited bride said after the wedding.

    After a years-long romance, Tendler decided to embark on the highly unusual path of tying the knot with her beloved dolphin. Last week, she approached Cindy's trainer Maya Zilber with the extraordinary request.

    Zilber accepted the challenge and "talked the idea over with the fellow," who apparently consented.

    And so on Wednesday afternoon, the thrilled bride, wearing a white dress, walked down the dock before hundreds of astounded visitors and kneeled down before her groom, who was waiting in the water.

    Cindy, escorted by his fellow best-men dolphins, swam over to Tendler and she hugged him, whispered sweet nothings in his ear, and kissed him in front of the cheering crowd.

    After the ceremony was sealed with some mackerels, Tendler was tossed into the water by her friends so that she could swim with her new husband.

    "I'm the happiest girl on earth," the bride said as she choked back tears of emotion. "I made a dream come true, and I am not a pervert," she stressed.

    Tendler said she and her newly wed husband will probably spend their wedding night bowling.

    "But what kind of children would they have?" one of the children in the crowd asked his father.

    I don't believe you know what research is but rather choose to believe exaggerations and words lifted from their context. I have heard Rick Warren speak personally several times and spoke with him personally and cannot think of one time he would support such exaggerations. So prove to us that the source of your information does not exaggerate and lift words from their context. I read some of those articles and found them to be loaded with exaggerations and words lifted from their context. You do know that exaggeration is truth tainted with a lie.

    A few years ago I wrote a Christian author who was quoted supporting Mormonism while they sold his book on their Mormon website. I wrote the author and he told me it was pure exaggeration.

    The JWs have done that with A.T. Robertson. They quote from his book and then tried to use that as proof to support their own heresy. If one looks at what Robertson wrote it has absolutely nothing to do with what the JWs claim. He was writing about something totally different.

    I asked you to read the website http://www.bibleteacher.org/Dm118_8.htm

    Certainly you did not by your response. If you had you would not responded the way you did but rather be humbled.

    That website talks about the real issue.

    Tell us about what you think after reading that website.

    </font>
I did read it and researched it. my original statement still stands: the church is lethargic, has no love of the truth, and does not contend for the faith. I will add that it is led by seducing spirits that tickle the ear, and that many will fall away, ship wrecking their faith.

    2 Tim 3:13 But evil men and pretenders will go forward to worse, leading astray and being led astray.

    2 Tim 4:3 For a time will be when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own lusts, they will heap up to themselves teachers tickling the ear;
    4 and they will turn away the ear from the truth and will be turned aside to myths.

    Act 20:29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

    </font>
I agree with you that there are loads of people who want their ears tickled. Are you sure you are not one of them?

    You read http://www.bibleteacher.org/Dm118_8.htm ?

    Following Christ is not about how many sermons we preached and how many came forward or how we filed the church but who's living for Jesus Christ because of our life? If one i s living for Jesus Christ he is making disciples.

    No doubt there are loads of heretics out there. I certainly would not call RW one of them. Do I agree with him in everything? No, but I don't even agree with everything I said a few years ago because I am still learning and growing.

    When was the last time you wrote to Rick Warren or read any of his books personally? Or do you rely on second hand knowledge?

    You may not be aware of it but earlier you commended someone who was caught plagiarizing information from a website that sepcifically stated not to copy any information from that website without permission and that poster saw nothing wrong with it even after being told.

    Are you sure you are not one of those who has had his ears tickled by reading second hand information.

    I am missing the point. Having one's ears tickled is believing a false gospel, false teachings. Those who entertain the teachings of RW are having their ears tickled.

    The websites provided give the information that is documented. The quotes are Ricks, he is a judge per templeton's site, he was mentored by drucker, he is an associate of schuller, etc. what is it that you don't get? perhaps you cannot believe the truth? you want so bad to believe rick that you don't research him out for yourself and see he is a wolf in sheep's clothing? there is a TON of information out there that exposes him. or maybe you think that all of the people that have done their research are secretly jealous of rick because they have not sold a million books. or maybe because they just love to slander a fellow christian - like they have nothing better to do with their time? maybe you think I am having fun exposing a heretic. I don't think you get it. this is not a game. it is a life and death situation and the church is falling away from the faith because of "teachers" like rick warren who have dumbed down the gospel and denied Jesus Christ.

    True discipleship is not following some man's book of ideas and logical steps to insure "success". Discipleship is living a dedicated, disciplined life submitted to God and being cleansed by the washing of the water of the Word. Then when God places those in your life to disciple, you are full of HIS Truth and reach out in HIS Name. I don't need a book about purpose driven life to teach me what I need to know. God will do that through His Word. It needs no improvement and no help. I feel sorry for people who think His Word is not enough.

    Funny...that's exactly what "this man's book" teaches. It's obvious you have no idea what RW teaches, nor have you read his work but have jumped on the un-godly "bash Rick" bandwagon. It's not too late to ask the Lord for forgiveness before you stand before Him and He asks you why you smeared His child's name all over the internet.

    So you say, yet you have come up with absolutely nothing to support that idea.

As Paul said, satan masquerades as an angel of light.
