I'd like to get a broad opining on this issue:

Was that which Paul precisely defined as the "GOSPEL" and preached as the GOSPEL by Paul different in CONTENT than that Gospel which the Church preached in Acts 1-8 and different in CONTENT from that which the Lord Jesus Himself taught according to John's Gospel.

    Thanks,

    Bill

In the Gospel according to Mark we are told when the Gospel of Jesus Christ began to be taught.

    Mark 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

The Gospel of Jesus Christ was preached when He began His ministry. Now what was that Gospel? Mark tells us in later Scripture:

    Mark 1:14, 15
    14. Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
    15. And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

There is obviously no difference between the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

Later in Scripture we read of Paul's rebuke of some in the church at Galatia for teaching a Gospel that he had not taught them.

    Galatians 1:6-9
    6. I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
    7. Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
    8. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
    9. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

However, after Paul's rebuke of the Galatians we read that in Rome Paul preached the Kingdom of God:

    Acts 28:30, 31
    30. And Paul dwelt two whole years in his own hired house, and received all that came in unto him,
    31. Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.

Jesus Christ preached the Kingdom of God. The Gospel of Mark states that this was the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Was Jesus Christ preaching a different Gospel than Mark said in his introduction? Paul preached the Kingdom of God in Rome. Was Paul preaching a different Gospel in Rome than he preached to the Galatians? The Apostle Paul writes to the church at Rome:

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Was Paul writing to the church at Rome about a different Gospel than he preached at Rome?

The truth is there is only one Gospel. There has always been only one Gospel, there is only one Gospel now, there will always be only one Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ the power of God unto salvation.

The Kingdom of God is the KINGDOM OF GOD IS THE KINGDOM OF GOD. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST IS THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST, THE POWER OF GOD UNTO SALVATION.

Sometimes, someone will try to separate the Gospel which Christ preached from that part of the Gospel ABOUT Christ. There aren't two Gospels; there is Part "A" and Part "B" of the SAME GOSPEL.

Part "A"...Jesus Christ is the ONLY BEGOTTEN Son of God, is Himself God along with His Father & the Holy Spirit& is God's MESSIAH.

Part "B"...JESUS, ONLY JESUS,& JESUS ALONE can make you a citizen of God's kingdom, and all who call on Him and believe in Him will be saved by Him. The only other alternative is to be forever damned by Him. His Father has given Him all judgment over all souls.

I am a Gentile. Christ spoke personally to Paul on Damascus Road, commissioning Paul as the Apostle to the Gentile, and the Jew, and afterwards revealed to Paul his gospel (Paul's), just as He had given Moses, Moses' Law and ordinances. Then came John the Baptist preaching to those coming through Jacob, the kingdom of heaven was at hand.

Only one has a heavenly gospel, and that is my Apostle, whose foundation is built on the foundation of Christ Jesus, and I build on that foundation. Paul would not build on anyone else’s foundation (Peter’s), for there is a difference. We clearly see this in Acts 15, and Galatians 2. The Hebrew church in Jerusalem shook hands with Paul and Barnabas of the Christian church based in Antioch, that they would only go to the circumcised.

If that is not two gospels, can someone please explain how the “great commission” given by Jesus Christ” before glorification sitting on the right hand of His Father, is the same as the “grace commission” to Paul through Christ Jesus in heaven?

We know there are two foundations involved laid on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Two foundations indicate two gospels. Is it the same faith that puts us on these foundations? Yes! But why are there Two foundations, and Two gospels. It is how the seed of Abraham through Jacob come in their faith, and how we heathen Gentiles come in our faith.

I as a Gentile was without hope, if we can believe the Word of God, until Damascus Road. Jesus told us He did not come for us. I believe that, and that means He was not talking to us when He was on this earth, for He says He came only for His own. But Christ began the process of revealing His dispensational gospel to Paul, a gospel that had never before been known by man, from the beginning, until Now. Now is when Paul began broadcasting as he (Paul) was feed new revelations along the way.

Should any respond, please remember this is not me talking, because most of you know where to find this information in His Word. It just needs to be divided out to bring together for understanding. It will take scripture to disprove, but if any is found it will have to contridict the Word.

Since there is silence in heaven today, and God is not speaking to His people, He left us His Word, which the Holy Spirit interprets for us, if we ask, and if we will let Him.

Boastful, and/or dogmatic? I say what I say with confidence for I believe I understand the gospel of Paul, which is the “grace commission” given to Paul personally by Christ Jesus from heaven, in times past not revealed to man. Christian faith, ituttut Galatians 1:11-12.

Can you provide one thing which Paul specifically and plainly says is a PART of his GOSPEL which our Lord Jesus is not said to have taught before His death (thus before the Great Commission) in the Gospel account by John? If you cannot, then how is Paul's Gospel new and different from what Jesus taught?

    Thanks,

    Bill

Since the fall God has always dealt with man from the standpoint of Grace, that is unmerited favor. Those who do not understand this truth do not understand the Holiness of God and the sinfulness of mankind.

We see the Grace of God initially revealed after Adam and Eve sinned in Eden. God took the initiative, sought out Adam and Eve, and, through His grace provided atonement, a covering, for their nakedness, their sin. That atonement required the shedding of innocent blood, in this case the blood of animals. This atonement, however, was only provisional, foreshadowing the perfect sacrifice, again the shedding of innocent blood, that was to come.

After the fall God gives mankind the initial promise of a Redeemer, that perfect sacrifice to come, the seed or offspring of woman alone who would bruise the head of Satan, that is defeat him [Genesis 3:14,15].

The Apostle Paul rightly tells us that the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that promised Redeemer, is the power of God unto Salvation [Romans 1:16]. Paul tells us further that same Gospel was preached to Abraham [Galatians 3:8]. There is only one Gospel, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, whose sacrifice alone could provide the atonement for man's sin, from the sin of Adam and Eve to the sin of all those whom God has chosen unto Salvation.

For anyone to say there is more than one Gospel is to violate the Word of God.

Good points, I agree. As God reveals the heart to sinful man, pride vanishes. There is no room for self promotion when the contents of ones own heart is discovered. Much that is advanced by religion as gospel is no more than the promotion of self-adulation, merit mongering. God being subject to man in salvation is the height of folly in my opinion but is advanced as gospel to much of the religious world.

Hello Dr. The most noticeable is of course Acts 16 to the Gentile of “believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, and your house”. No one had ever heard of this before, the main reason being, that gospel had never been preached for God had never endorsed such a thing until Paul.

We can only equate the gospel of John, during the life of Paul, and before the destruction of the Temple in A.D. 70 of “repent and be baptized for the remission of sin”, as that was the gospel the Jew still adhered to with its Sabbaths, the sacrifices, the “great commission”, the feasts, and all the rest. This was the Gospel that Jesus told Peter to pay attention to. Jesus told Peter to follow him and His instructions while He was on earth. But what of John, the beloved Apostle of Jesus who was singled out by Jesus as saying, ”If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.” Did not John tarry. I’m sure John was the only Apostle left at the close of the century. John Tarried, and for a purpose, I believe.

We see in scripture that Peter is the first chosen by Christ to present the Word of salvation by grace through faith to the Gentile, in Acts 10. But this could not happen before Christ spoke to Paul in Act 9, and Saul/Paul was told He would be the Apostle to the Gentile (the only one at that time). But the earthly appointed Apostle Peter was given the honor of preaching to the first Gentile the Gospel for the Gentile, the gospel of “believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved.

Act 10 plainly shows this, and this does not agree with what Peter was preaching to the Jews of “repent and be baptized for the remission of sins”. But we notice this is not what Peter had planned, for God stopped Peter’s tongue when he said ”To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. 44. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word. 45. And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost”.

So what Peter preached, so did John, for they shook hands with Paul and Barnabas and said we will go to the circumcised. Why? As long as the Temple stood, they observed the Sabbath, the blood sacrifices, and all the rest. Did Paul preach this message to the Gentile, if so, where can I find this in the Word of God. It is not there.

Why does John sound so much like Paul. John had talked to Paul, and John had read all of Paul’s Epistles, and once the Temple was destroyed, John was free to preach the same gospel as Paul. We know that John in his later years preached in one of the churches Paul started. So Peter is the first to preach to the Gentile, John is the last of the earthly Apostle’s to preach to the Gentle, with Paul in-between. Paul I believe is equivalent to the Body of Christ “grace period”. It was dropped down from heaven (not in prophecy) and taken back up again. Doesn’t Paul bring to us the rapture, before the prophecy continues with the tribulation and then the kingdom coming with its King?

I believe Peter was first sent to validate the gospel of Paul to the Gentile, then to prove to the world that salvation now was offered to ALL Through faith that John also preached and came to the full knowledge inthe Pauline gospel. God appointed John to write the gospel that contains his name, and three Epistles to prove Paul's gospel is for this dispehsation. You will not find John making reference to the "great commission" message of "repent and be water baptized for the remission of sins?

Aren’t we today living in a “secret time”, this time that was not known from the beginning? Won’t this dispensation be “snatched” up to meet Christ Jesus in the air? You can’t find us with the gospel of “reconciling the whole world unto himself before the Old Testament began. You can’t find that in the Old Testament. You can’t find that in the Kingdom is at hand gospel before Damascus Road. You can’t find us, the Gentile after the book of Philemon, for we are into the book Hebrews, and on into legalist James with works book for the Jew. All the books after Philemon will be of great interest to those in the great tribulation, as we will be with Christ Jesus during the time Christ comes back to this earth in His wrath.

May I ask you a question? What was contained in the secret in the mysteries of God, that Christ revealed to Paul?

    Christian faith, ituttut Galatians 1-11-12.

    Since some of the "Pauline Dispensation" persuasion insist that the Gospel changed with the conversion of Paul;
    Please address John 3:16.
This is the Gospel Paul preached. It is also pre-cross and by extension, pre-Damascus road.
Clearly Jesus told Jewish listeners, "Believe and you shall be saved" just as surely as Paul did.

There is no such thing as two Gospels or three or four. There is just one. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.

I have answered you twice, and you will not accept. The gospel to the Gentile of “believe on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, and your house” The Gentile is saved Through faith in the name of Jesus Christ and this was not known until Paul.

Please answer if you agree or disagree. You must give a scriptural reply to show this is not so. Christian faith, ituttut Galatains1:11-12

How could Jesus teach two contrary things: salvation by works/salvation by faith?

You say you have twice answered, but you have not.

You cannot show that Paul in Rom/Gal/Acts preaches a different Gospel than does Jesus in John.

You're right I "will not accept."

Then perhaps we are in different "kingdoms" within the kingdom of God, or we are in different parts of His Body.

It must me something on this order for I believe in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for my salvation. You also say the same, with something additional, but as long as we believe in His name, He cannot deny us. Christian faith, ituttut Galatians 1:11-12
