I just moved here in the area, and made a friend at the new church I'm going to (is my husband's church and is mine as well now). She too roughly is a young newlywed like me, and just had a baby about two months ago. Dillon spent his first month of life in the hospital. He was brain damaged while being born. He suffers with near deafness, possible blindness, possible CP, cannot swallow, has a feeding tube, and his eyes roll in the back of his head. His mom is a stay at home mom. She goes to doctor's appointments pretty much on a regular basis for Dillon. She has shared with me her struggles about her son's afflictions. I feel much empathy for her. I want to be the best friend to her possible. She told me she is looking to communicate with others who have a similar story. She needs to communicate with somebody who has a similar child for support and dealing with things. She said she can give her phone number to you. I'll be seeing her on Tuesday.

I'm also planning on making her a little gift just to show her I care. Are there any Christian books out there, of somebody like in her situation shared this trial of life and how God got the glory out of it? If you could recommend any books, I'd really appreciate it. I haven't checked out my church book store yet, but I'll look for the recommondations.

I also wanted to include this cd that I saw while I was staying at a friend's house in Texas a couple years back. It's called "God makes no mistakes" The guy who made the cd had a disabled child. I'm trying to find out who made the cd so I can get it for her. Does it sound familiar to anybody?

    Thanks all for your help!

It looks like God has given you quite a ministry. First, though do not post any phone numbers here on this forum.
