He has plenty of power to stop it if he so chooses.

??? So all the stories of the DNC hosting the event don't count as a shred of evidence? Have they said they are NOT hosting it?

This is the DNC hosting a Jumah event. They are hosting it for a reason.

The Bureau of Indigenous Muslim Affairs is hosting this event - not the DNC.

    LINK

Their title is misleading - how can they host an event at something that does not start for 4 more days?

They have certainly achieved their goal of getting some free publicity!

According to everything I read, BIMA says they are PARTNERING with the DNC for the event. Is that no longer true?

Did the DNC not give them authorization to hold the event?

That's what I was asking. BIMA says there is a partnership. BIMA says in their brochure that the DNC authorized them to hold the prayer.

    BIMA Brochure

    According to their brochure:

Is a good catch. Fair play. But it is still a far cry from hosting it or making it a part of the convention as originally charged.

So you are complaining because the DNC is upholding the 1st amendment??

Just what do you think will happen if a Muslim group holds two hours of prayers before the convention? Lightening strikes thoughout the convention?

On the other hand, what do you think might happen when the Catholic priest holds the closing prayer? Lightening strikes thoughout the city??

(don't we Baptists consider both to be false religions?)

Of all things to complain about the Dems, this one isn't gonna make me even blink. I'm MUCH more concerned that the Dems aren't in support of the Second Amendment than I am that they accept the !st.
