Not only do Baptist ladies paint their nails, some Baptist men do, too! Just ask Tinytim about the time he visited my church and his youth group had painted his fingernails pink! It seems he lost a dare to the youth group and had to suffer the consequences.

This Baptist woman paints her nails occassionally. When I don't, its because I use my hands so much that no polish I've found stands up to it. I can't be bothered to paint my nails every three or four days and I hate seeing chips sooo, that accounts for why its only occasionally. I paint my toenails more often.

As for the bold colors, well, if bold colors make a bold woman what does a woman wearing a bold color carrying a gun make?

(I just bought myself this one: http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/...4_750001_750051_757892_-1_757752_757751_image )

My wife doesn't, not for any religious reason, but it is believed that painted nails harbor bacteria, especially if the nail is chipped. ( Medical field.)

I don't, but it's because I have to keep my nails short because I play the piano. No other reason.

I used to have acrylic nails and that was when I had my nails painted but since I stopped doing them, I don't paint them much at all. I'm always with my hands in water, getting dirty around the horses and stuff so a polish job - even professional - lasts only about 20 hours. But I do my toenails!! I get a pedicure every month or so. :)

Usually clear, but sometimes do my toenails purple and occasionally use something funky like glow in the dark polish on my hands...the kids at school like it!

    Or clear glitter polish.

I'd do it more but it's a pain to maintain imo so not that often. Can't do bright colors much because they're short.

Color is color, so what's the difference if it's bold or not? Purple and black and fluorescent colors are all the rage now and kids everywhere have fun with it. Let them do it before they get all old like me and have to be all muted and...old. LOL

Yep, I not only paint my nails but I wear long gel nails as well (and I play the piano!) Right now they're bright, bright red with gold and black leopard spots. I also paint my toenails. If wearing polish and bright colors makes me a....what was it PIJ called it...oh yes, bold women....then I am among the boldest. Doesn't make me any less of a Christian or a Baptist....just makes me stylish :)

I wonder, does wearing bold nailpolish on the toenails only just make me half bold?

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with being bold.
Pro 28:1 The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

No it is against the union rules. They just use the air guns and nail things down and the painters come behind and do the painting.

If you're serious, do you also decide her hairstyle too? How about her shoes? No open toed ones? How about dress length? 1 foot below the knee?

In regard to the topic; really?

What does a woman painting their nails have to do with their salvation and/or walk with God? Does anyone think Peter is going to be out at the Pearly Gates inspecting people's hands?

What about makeup then? Girdles? Wonder Bras? etc.........

Worry about people's walk with God and not how they look doing it.
