I don't go to the grocery store very often anymore, but when I do, I'm amazed at how rude people can be sometimes. I have to get in one of those electric carts because I can't walk, and you wouldn't believe how inconsiderate people can be. Sometimes I have to sit forever at the end of an aisle because somebody is in the aisle and won't move over enough to let me pass. And sometimes they nearly fall all over themselves trying to get ahead of me, lol. But I smile at them anyway, and like Sue, I'm always the one who says excuse me, even if it's their fault.

Every once in a blue moon, I would wait on a table of people who "lived their faith".
What a breath of fresh air they were.

    Thankful! Credit given!!

I agree 100% and that was my point in my post.
We, who are called by HIS Name, need to do a better job representing Him!!
    ((me included))

I have made it my personal goal for the week to make eye contact with as many people I can, and smile, expecting nothing in return, but to show the Love of God........

Sherrie, You are going to purposely be a kamakasi grocery shopper?

News story: .... Local woman taken to hospital when local grocery shoppers reacted to what can only be called "The Science experiment gone awry" Witnesses say that the woman now identified as Sherrie from a little town called Dexter, Missouri, was spotted bumping her grocery cart repeatedly into several unsuspecting shoppers seemingly on purpose. What that purpose was we won't completely know until the woman comes out of the coma she was put in by someone who didn't think her little prank was all that funny. Is this a case of a woman who had lost her mind? Was it a case of depression or drug abuse? We can only guess at this point. News at 11:00

I think you're asking for trouble Sherrie. ;) You're crazy. [IMG]

Today, we went to our favorite place to eat and they gave us a free meal. Isn't that something?

They may have been concerned about our well-being.
There were 50 middle school kids there eating also. [IMG]

It is a lunch buffet and we were surprised and pleased at how courteous these children were.

Some of them arrived in a limo as part of a contest they had won. Imagine going to lunch in a limo when you were in the 6th, 7th, or 8th grade.

I have never ridden in a limo.

Hmm. I hadn't considered that there are no Christians shopping or eating out, although I try to avoid the "church" crowd on Sunday.

However, I am reasonably sure that Christians don't, as a rule, drive, given the number of times I've been cut off by some with a "Jesus Loves You" bumper sticker.

I know the children of Israel were ordered to sound the ram's horn on occasion, but I don't think that was meant to apply to automobiles ...

    Wisdom Seeker.....ROTFL......Too Funny.

Well lets say everyone did what they had to, and no more than that.

One lady even said..."hmmmm yes...do I know you? I don't recall ever speaking to you before." I said, "No mame you have never spoken to me before." she said, "What? Well what on earth are you doing?" I said, "I am smiling at you. I am smiling at you just like my friends said no one would smile at them. I just wanted to tell you hi, and Jesus loves you." Isn't it a beautiful day!"

I tell you she took a long look at me...ROTFL...and I was still smiling I love you at her...ROTFL...She said, "Oh my goodness, you are one of those people that they take shopping once a week. I am sorry dear, but I have to go now. You need to find your worker!" ha! ha! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Ok...I know I picked on this lady really a long time. I should have just smiled, and went on...but I had been doing it for a while, and no one was paying me any attention. So I thought I would have some fun. Amanda heard me, and went running to another isle. Finally, she came over and said, "there you are Grandma...I have been looking for you! Lets go!" hee-hee!

    Was Having Fun In Dexter!

    Sherrie;

Have you seen any little men in white coats following you around lately? [IMG]

The next time you go shopping, I think you should go through the store singing, "They're coming to take me away ha ha hee hee ho ho. To the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time." [IMG]

Oh Sherrie, I wish I could have seen that. How funny. And your granddaughter played along. That is just too funny. I bet that woman can think of nothing else for a week. [IMG]

All these stories are precisely why I don't go to the grocery store. I absoultly despise it. My wife trys to get me to go sometimes but figures it would be easier without me, so she takes our girls and leaves me at home.

Well, Scott, I hope you really appreciate her for it. Ah, the life of a married man...to be able to say, "I don't like it, so I'm not going to do it, you do it" Must be nice.

It's a war zone out there sometimes, she probably asked you to come along for protection. ;) :D

I have to do things I don't want to do to. Killing spiders, setting mouse traps when necessary(oh I hate that one),Getting the neighbors cat out of the garbage, etc. I think it is a trade off. ;)

In my house My husband makes the money. And I do everything else. Just like my Mom and Dad, and probably all the generations before them too. We have a traditional relationship, although it's not too traditional these days.

But to my husbands credit, he will stop at the store on his way home, if I ask him really nice. And when I'm sick, he does let me go to bed early. And he ocassionally will let me order a pizza so I don't have to cook. And he puts the toilet seat down and gets his cloths into the hamper. But if I ever said, I don't want to do it, you do it...that just wouldn't fly around here. And that's why I said " I hope you appreciate your wife...and must be nice" Because I hope you do, and I hope it is. ;)

I've put off Grocery shopping as long as I can for this week.

Maybe I need to ask for your prayers.

I'm going to my kind, considerate store, but they will probably be busy today, though. [IMG]

I just got back from the grocery store, and it was so stressful. Pre-holiday crowds even in the middle of the day. It was not pleasant at all.

But the cashier was nice, and the people I talked to were nice, it was just too crowded. I heard a woman about my age, tell her husband. "I can't shop like this, I need to get out of here" I could relate, but I know it will be worse tomorrow, and Sunday will be too late. So, I just tried to get through it.

    God Bless You,
    Charlotte

I'm just glad the days when I had to bring my children with me are past. Those poor mothers I saw really looked frazzled. :(

Well, I attempted to go to Walmart today. Big mistake. I think everyone and all of their relatives were there. When I finally got parked and got inside, it was buggy-to-buggy people. I just needed a few things, and managed somehow to get out with 2 frozen pizzas, a bag of shredded cheese and a case of colas. Oh, and some Ginseng for energy, LOL. The main street here was also bumper-to-bumper, so it took quite a while to even get there. To get through one red light, I think it took about four changes before I finally got up there while it was still green. This town shows a population of about 25,000 people, and I think they all went to Walmart today. Sherrie, I would've loved to have taken you along with me!!! It would be great fun! [IMG]
