Exactly. His words after quoting Scripture was very coarse and in bad taste.

SO many folks in the church seem to have forgot that they used to be lost . And for some reason can't seem to imagine that folks would be turned off from the truth by the way we come at them.

Like folks on here, the conversation wreaked of someone trying to win a battle to be right rather than someone trying to lovingly point folks to Christ.

And that just seems to be where so many in the church are right now. We are ruled by politics and a lack of love because we feel like we've got to win the battle of being right and them be wrong.

And that's when the "we're better than you "attitudes get displayed and folks start talking about hate because they weren't getting anything that resembled love from the folks speaking.

A door of oportunity has indeed been opened. But why does it appear that the church doesn't care much about that door of opportunity with the homosexuals and abortionists that it has made into modern day lepers?

That's the one thing I could always appreciate about Franklin Graham. He avoids this type of stuff for the mst part when reporters asks and makes a beeline for the Cross and pointing ALL folks to a loving, forgiving Jesus Christ no matter what they have done.

Sexual sins are to God a "special sin", as we are the temple of God, and when we do those things, we are letting jesus directly become part of the "partnership!"

And Homosexuality is condemned as abomination before God, and also is unnatural pervsion, for at least fonicators/adulterers doing what is 'natural" way as God intended for sexual relationships...

thing is that satan has really been allowed to get a stronghold among churchesd, seminaries, and entire denominations, as many are believed the lie of satan that the Bible was not right in regards to this issue, that paul was a homophobe, that Jesus would be for it etc!

Was he asked about fornication, adultery or greed?

    excellent post!

We need to indeed see this as the Lord providing for His people the way into getting the voice of His into the current state of morarility and how far from the Lord we as a nation have become!

There are no special sins OUTSIDE the church. It's just sin. And creating SPECIAL sin does NOTHING to point folks to Christ.

You keep making this very wrong statement. There is NOTHING natural about sin. God hasn't intended for anyone to fornicate or commit adultery so how is that doing what's natural? That sin is just as unnatural as is homosexual sin.

Therein lies part of the problem. This is one of the pet sins of the church so folks have to keep trying to make it worse than everything else.

Sin outside of salvation is STILL sin. ALL of it is unnatural.

    Preach the word in love

Homosexuality is no different than any other sin. But it has become a political agenda. There is a cake maker in NM that has been ordered by the court to make a cake for a homosexual wedding. Homosexuality is being taught in many of our schools as normal, acceptable, and it is also being taught that anyone who teaches differently are haters.

So the issue of homosexuality is different and needs to be addressed differently because of that. Those who are acting as if it should not only have their heads in the sand.

The word culture comes from the Latin root colere (to inhabit, to cultivate, or to honor).

Perhaps it is different because the Church has made them into lepers.

The thing that seems to often be ignored is that things are the way they are because of the CHURCH's disobedience, not because of the unsaved homosexuals.

You throw dirt at folks and deem them to be a special class of sinner and you end up thinking you've got to address them in a manner different from which God has told us to address ALL.

WE, the CHURCH, is at fault and that's why they are running away from the church and deeper into sin.

ANd since we have treated them as a political issue instead of as neighbors to be loved as ourselves, they have become a politcal force that we STILL think we have to address differently.

Things are not the way they are because of the church. That is a lie straight from the pit of hell. And while you are passing on Satan's lies keep your head in the sand.

the problem is that the strident homosexuals/lesbians want to come to jesus, get "saved", and yet still hold unto their sinfil lifestyles, as threy see the church not being tolerant or really lovong if we condemn their behaviours!

Jesus himself would tell a homosexual that he loves them, died for them if one of His own, but once saved by him"go and stop that sinning lifestyle!"

SO WHAT? Who cares how they want to come as long as they come? God hasn't asked or told us to treat them any differently because they are sinners acting the way sinners act.

Before we were saved and HE turned our hearts, I'm sure there were plenty of us who acted the same way about our particular sin.

And once they are "in" the church, their sin just happens to be out front because it's a pet sin of the church.

There are FAR more folks holding on to their fornicative ways in the church than there are homosexuals attempting to do the same.

But you rarely hear as much fuss made about them because folks think that at least they are doing what's "natural".

Do you believe that the Church caused them to become active homosexuals, that Chrsitianity caused them to become haters of God and lovers of themselves?

the trouble is that we have lost the moral authority to address this issue from the bible head on, as we have allowed for that sinful practice to get made "legitimate," as now we have ordained homosexuals/lesbians teaching and preaching the "bad news", that God loves and accepts all behaviour as legit, just come to jesus and keep on sinning!

    As paul stated "God forbid!"

How many churches and pastors though come out and say "just keep on fornicating, commiting adultery", as God winks and OKs that lifestyle? NONE that claim to be teaching bible morals, but many claiming to be teaching bible say its OK to be practicing and active gay though!

It's a truth straight from the throne of heaven. Because of wickedness, our love has grown cold and that is displayed in society.

Sin is out of control in the world because sin is out of control in the church.

You don't have to believe it, but there is a direct correlation between disobedience in the church and disobedience in the world.

You mean do I believe that a culture of hypocrisy and undercover fornication, adultery, lust, and duplicity and lack of Godliness in the church can cause others to stumble into sin? Sure do. And rather than correcting it and disciplining, we let them stay because we believe they are better off being in the church and hearing the word than they would be being put out. Not to mention that they are our husbands and wives and our sons and daughters. We can't well kick them out the church.

So yes. Hypocrisy breeds confusion. And confusion breeds sin that spreads like kudzu.

We lost the moral authority to address it because the church didn't discipline for 30-40 years. And then when the church finally decided to open its mouth, it was just to address the homosexual sin and abortion while seemingly still ignoring everything else.

And when people view you as treating them hypocritically, you can stop talking because they aren't listening.
