    Bob,

You have always been the picture perfect example of a Christian...

BTW, what were the names of the Calvinists running out of the mine? I am guessing you are implying they were less than honorable because they ean out of the mine instead of helping your uncles. Names and sources please. Or are we simply supposed to take your word for it?

Joseph, I am Christian enough that I am pastor of my wife and my children. Can you say the same?

No, I didn't make it up. I have heard it many time while eating supper from my dad. He was not a Calvinist so they told tales on each other, but still loved each other as brother in Christ.

Wow. You must be some kind of super Christian then, like Benny Hinn and Oral Roberts. Wow...let me bow down and worship you. You certainly do have a lot to boast about...don't you?

I can see why you have troubles Joseph. You need to grow up first before trying to be a father and husband.

Troubles? I have no troubles that my God cannot handle. Whatever are you talking about?

Are you now trying to say that if one is having troubles (which I figure everyone has some kind of trouble or adversity that they deal with in life...except for super Christians like you of course... ) that is a sign that there is something wrong with them? Reminds me of the same sort of theology thrown at Job and the man who was blind from birth. Jesus rebuked that false theology.

What do you suggest I do? Divoirce my wife and put my son up for adoption? Perhaps, one day, if I become [unkind name calling removed] like you, I will be grown up enough to be a husband and a father...

Be careful, Bob, or you will get accused of telling sob stories...I don't think they like it when real life interferes with their theology.

Many secular people don't like it when the Bible interferes with thier *real life*. Can we get back to the OP now?

Bob made an accusation about Calvinists running out of the mine in order to imply that they were less than honorable because they left their fellow man there and then failed to back it up. Now, that is not only sick, but also dishonest. Now would you like to deal with verse 22?

Well actually she went to another thread Joe. She is just doing her part in trying to shut the thread down. That is much easier than dealing with the scripture.

Helen I am getting to be an old man now and have pastored for 34 years plus and Christians don't act that way. Christian are not mean inside when you are talking about your family being blown to peices in a coal mine where they had to scoop them off the walls, and they make a mockery out of it. I don't care who says what to me for telling it like it is but they are mean. A christian man would feel condemned and couldn't wait to say they are sorry for acting that way.

I was not being mean to you Bob. I asked a question... were you just spreading heresay? Who are you to call someone mean Bob? Ever hear of the kettle calling the pot black? Go cry somewhere else and don't close this thread.

I have in no way mocked the deaths of your family. I think that is tragic. What I have done, however, is asked you to back up your assertion that Calvinists were a 1/4 mile down the road running out of the mines instead of helping out your uncles. If you cannot back up that statement with names and sources, then not only is it mean and dishonest, but that is really sick. It is un-Christian, and if you can't back it up, you should not say things like that. I feel extra sorry for your congregation and will pray for them.
