I agree with you on that one. Passages like Acts 15:14ff and Rom 11:25ff have convinced me that it's still future.

    Good one on "weakly"!

But seriously I too reject newspaper prophets.

    Just too much speculations!

    Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Isn't anyone here "looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing" I believe that will happen at any time....it is imminent. If you are looking for Christ's imminent return for His Church, IMHO, you will believe this could happen during your lifetime.

2 Timothy 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

Do you, like Paul, "love his appearing"?

We could say the same thing salvation, so many false professions.
The falseness that arises is not due to the fact but misinformation or misunderstanding of that truth.

It is a fact that He is coming again, and our eschatology alot to do with this whole matter, since there are promises of God that are connected to it for His glory.

Allan, I believe Webdog made that point above.

Not doubt, Jesus is coming again.

But you and I have read and seen the many failed attempts of those who are vying for a place on the planning committee.

Looks like the Calvinists think they are the ones who are in charge of the planning committee.

Hal Lindsey and guys like Grant Jeffreys are not Calvinists to my knowledge.

What then are you getting at?

Forgive me if I am wrong, but I thought it was the Calvinist's who had the corner on the planning committee as to who goes and who doesn't .

At least that is what I read.

Still can't figger how they come up with people are predestinated either to heaven or hell when Scripture never implies such.

SFIC, that's a debate for another time.

We're not talking about WHO is going but WHEN.

When is another one that is not up for debate. It will happen when God says.

Reckon debating about these topics will speed it up any? lol

SFIC, I don't mind debate the issue WHO goes to be in glory, but that's not what we're debating.

Debating this issue will speep up me joining my Lord in glory.

I honestly don't know but I believe that there is a high possibility of it happening in my life time.

From your answer I have to ask:

Do you believe that the rapture and the 2nd coming to be one in the same event or two diffrent ones alltogather?

I believe it's a possibility that he COULD come in my lifetime; I hope and pray that He will, but I doubt it.
