Also a Mobile phone in Australia ...

So .. is ita "cell" phone for those imprisoned by it and a "mobile" phone for those freed by it?

(..and congratulations on making the 1000 David  )

    Regards
    Bob

If the battery gets to low - it will turn itself off.

I usually have it with me - at all times - even when I'm preaching - but then I put it on vibrate - and turn off the speaker phone.

Lately (since I'm now retired) - I forget to take the thing with me when I go to town - and when the wife remembers that she wants me to pick up something - she calls - and it rings in the house - I hear about that when I get home!

    Poor me!!

i don't turn it off nearly enough, and probably should.
I remember a few years ago after Hurrican Katrina my phone had been ringning non-stop for a few days because of our proximity to the La. Coast that i finally decided to turn the phone off to take a nap. After sleeping an hour or so i turned it back on, and just that quickly it was ringing again.
Thankfully things are not always that bad with it, but i've had some moments come close since then.

I switch my mobile off in church and hospitals and I ought to switch it off at work (after all, I demand that from my clients and staff!) but I often forget to do so. I do leave it on at night, because I use it for my morning alarm call, but I would kill anyone who phoned me on it when I was asleep!

Mine is with me at all times. I do tend to use it more for text messages than talking, though.

Funny thing about it...everybody in our small church has a cell and at one or another, I think EVERYBODY has accidentally left the ringer on. It's always funny and the offending party usually turns red. It finally happened a few Sundays ago and we realized the noise was coming from the pulpit! My 73 year old, fire & brimstone country pastor had left his cell phone on! The ringtone was "La Cucaracha" and he couldn't get to it quickly to turn it off. Hilarious moment.

I have one but in my mind it's just for me to use when I have a need, when not in the house. Not everyone else and their mother. My kids are always gripping about how they can't get ahold of me. For all that is good they are all at least 18 or older. They just have to wait till I get home to ask me whatever, just like we had to when I was a kid.

My wife does this and it makes me mad. I pay for the thing so I can call her when I need to. You need to be better about this! :BangHead:

I don't carry mine with me most of the time anyway. My church members can call the church or my home and leave a message. I hate being interrupted while visiting someone or doing some other pastoral work by the cell phone. To me it's rude to answer my cell phone while I'm talking with someone else or enjoying a meal with a church member or friend. Cell phones while being good are also curses that cause too much interruption in our lives.

I had to vote "Not Usually", since never wasn't listed as an option. At church it's on the vibrate mode.
