    I'm not "gun crazy", but have a shotgun (I've had it about 5 years and never shot it), a 22 that was my grandma's (killed a fox earlier this year), and an SKS. No handguns.

    I've got a pesky raccoon in the woods behind my house, driving the dogs crazy and I think it attacked our cat, would have like to had a Potato cannon this morning to knock it out of the tree and let the dogs take care of it. I'll probably just set out a trap this afternoon, and take and turn it loose down the road.

    Thankfully I live in a country where the coppers are not armed, though this is changing sadly. Mind you we don't have ghastly massacres of kids in schools either.

    Fear not, NZ has some ugly stats that no-one is proud of.:tonofbricks:

    I'm sure everyone was concerned about my situation so I thought I'd provide an update. Went out the next morning and the dogs had took care of the problem. I had promised them each an extra milk bone, and they got the job done. Good leadership is all about knowing how to motivate. :thumbs:

    My Crosman Air Rifle shoots at 1230 fps. Cracks the sound barrier. I bought it this year, and am actually gonna attempt to take a deer with it, just to see if I can.

    I've read some stupid stuff on BB but that has to be in the running for the top two. :BangHead:

    There's something I'd like to see. Your local game officer stuffing you in the back of his patrol car. They ought to come and take your bow while they're at it. You shouldn't be left alone with a pointy stick.

    I'm interested in taking a class on handling guns so that I can use one if needed. After that, we may get a gun for protection purposes.
