You can be sure that is not the case in this country as much as some might try and claim it to cover their sins.

Of course I pray for the POTUS.

I pray for Pres. Obama's salvation. He claims to be a Christian, if he is indeed then my prayer is for the rededication of his life to show that he is saved.

I pray that he and his party will change their approval of murdering babies in their mothers womb.

I Pray for ALL Our Leaders!

I do not pray for these people by name, political affiliation, etc. I do pray for the office they are in, and ask for God to grant them His favor, wisdom, and strength to lead this nation (back) to greatness. :praying:

Which president? If you are asking me whether I pray for the President of the United States, my answer would be that I probably pray for him as often as Americans pray for Queen Elizabeth II or the Prime Minister of the UK. :) Incidentally, I disagree with the OP when it says that the bible commands us to pray for POTUS (See! I've learned an American acronym through being a member of the BB!). That would only be true if we were all Americans. I'm not (though that doesn't prevent me from praying for America and its leaders).

    I agree (emphasis mine).

I pray personally and we pray as a church regularly for him, his advisers and for others who make decisions for our country that they would know the Lord as Savior and that they would follow the teaching of His Word.

It doesn't hurt to pray for mercy as well.

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
    - Micah 6:8
